  1. Can the thai immigration authorities please start doing random passport checks in areas like Huay Kwang, Ratchada, Thonglor, Chinatown etc as there are lots of Chinese overstayers who are living and working in Thailand and even Singaporean Chinese, Malaysian Chinese, Fillipinos, Koreans and even Japanese overstayers these days I have been told. Some blend in by speaking thai and acting thai. In areas like Huay Kwang and Ratchada like the Ideo Huaykwang Condo for instant, I have seen chinese renting 31 sqm condos with 4 to 6 people staying in them. The agents like Bangkok Residence and the condo management do not comply with Thai laws which make it mandatory to report to immigartion and the local police any foreigners who are staying in the building. I have seen many young Chinese operating businesses here in Thailand even at the Jatujak Market (I did not know that there were work permits that allow foreigners to sell at the weekend market or even to work in certain salad bars at Paragon (one run by the family of a so called patriotic Indian family employs only fillipinos serving staff...again did not know that workpermits were allowed for such professions). The thai immigration should start doing random checks in all condo buildings in Bangkok not only the low class condos but aklso the middle and upper end ones.

Please its not fair for farangs who abide by thai and immigrations laws and pay local taxes duly to see other foreigners doing things illegally and the authorities not catching them.

If it bothers you that much and you obviously know where they all are why don't you report them to Immigration, you seem the type to do so

Are these people affecting your life in some way? I doubt it so what's your problem?

People like you knock me sick to be honest.

People like who make you sick? Oh I see, Law abiding ones.

And criminals and/or criminal supporters like you knock me sick.

  2. I can understand where your coming from. But its not a lack of wanting to take care of my responsibilities.. its a lack of opportunities now. I can't get to work now, so my income is gonna be almost gone. I can't get my life and health insurance license that i just passed my state exam for because of the felony. Many jobs are now impossible to be hired for. All while the court bills and probation bills continue. So now how do I pay rent? Pay for my car I can no longer use? And living in CA the cost of living is outrageous!! I find my future very non existent, where quality of life in thailand is better, cheaper, and the people I want to do business with currently live there. I don't want to sound winey.. but I just want to live a good life

That's the trouble with Californians, it is so liberal they think responsabilities don't apply to them. You must be liberal to try to side step your responsabilities, you think 2 1/2 years is unbearable vs 10+ years in prison once you are caught and one day you will be caught.

You didn't know it was a felony? Come on really?

  3. Frankly having a server in asia will make Negligible difference to your web site loading speeds .

Setting up some mirror site in asia is a Unecessary cost and complication

You need to consider either changing your present host to one that has better connectivity and/ or look at your content.

Some content will slow down your site loading especially any links to external sites

We have servers in the USA and hosts site all over the world and connectivity has never been an issue

    --

    Virtual Hosting Services(virtualhostingservices.net)

Providing High Quality Web Site Hosting To Businesses and Individuals Since 1996

A bias point of view that's for sure ;)

I pinged your server and received a bit over a 350MS response, I pinged my website and received an 0.5MS response, that is what you would call a "Negligible difference" in my book I would call that a significate difference.

Hosting in Singapore is 80MS which is still a significate difference and better than hosting in the US when targeting Asia clients..

Can you really trust a Thai server's security? I sure couldn't.

Im a designer and use site5.com for my hosting. You have the option of picking server locations all around the globe. Not sure what the closest server is to here but there are plenty of asian servers to choose from, even a cloud based package as well. But I use one thats in Dallas TX and it loads my sight in about 1.2 seconds here in thailand...

Is there anything to back that up or just an opinion? (honest question)

If you are saying Site5 has never been hacked I think you need to do a little checking, if you think someone is going to steal your files well that can be said about any host.

Site5 are a "BIG" reseller company with no real staff, all of their staff is outsourced all over the world, they hide this under (green energy) a little strange you can't trust a Thai host yet your host might have Thai support staff or expats living in Thailand as support staff, whom all have access to your files.

I would be more worried about a reseller stealing my files than a local company, how you going to deal with a reseller once they jump ship without any real base of operations? Sorry I would never trust a reseller whom can fold up shop without any traces.

The server I am on is protected by a firewall amongst some other thing which I checked on before hosting with them, they have recently added cloudlinux OS, and their CDN is through Cloudflare with cPanel control panel. All of this technology is know to be the best, I haven't found another host in Thailand with this level of systems or support.

That leaves the company, which is multinational with an American who runs it. I have never waited for a response to support for more than 5 minutes and my files have never been in question to me. My site has never been hacked, and with cloudlinux if another users site does then they can't get to mine.

A load time of 1.2 seconds is realative to how the site is designed and to some peoples standards can be considered slow. I can't even guage my page load times, if I clear my browser CACHE and go to my site it is there immediatley. Someone in the US might get 1.2 or even 3 that's why hosting locally for a local audience is the best.

Well we all have our opinions and what works best for us.

Best of luck to everyones ventures!

  4. Don't believe all that hype about Singapore maybe that was 10 years ago but not today. It would hurt you more than help you.

Checkout ThaiProWebHosting best I have ever dealt with. And over the last 10 years have dealt with a lot.

They also give a CDN for free so if you want to use it your website would be all over the world, with the site being closest to the person coming to it.

If your target is Thailand then host it in Thailand.

  5. The Thai elite have been killing their own people for years and getting away with it, why on Earth did folks think it was going to be any different this time around?

There has to be some sort of accountability from politicians and military for the deaths, regardless of the circumstances at the time. In any civilised society this is a bare minimum. In ruling they have no jurisdiction they are preventing the truth from being known.

No doubt they will attempt to yet again foist this objectionable upper class twit who's father supported the odious dictator Suchinda upon the poor Thai populace. It runs in the Vejjajiva family.

Dark days ahead indeed as we have seen the rural Thais still haven't forgotten Democrat bitter medicine policies from the late 90's, and the cycle looks to continually repeat itself in the future, as they will never accept a government they haven't chosen, hence the attempts to cheat the system by the junta.

In 2010 Thaksin told his red shirts to fight the army and that he was very near to Thailand and would come back to help them if the army would open fire on them. Remember those famous words?

Red shirt leader Jatuporn, natthawut etc have also told their supporters numerous times to fight the army. Even told them to burn down the city.

You don't mention them in your propaganda piece. Why not?

Nickymaster did you even take a split second to think about what you typed?

I didn't see Thaksin in the protest, you don't mention that in your propaganda piece. Why not?

So some person from a distant land says attack and even though they don't attack just because it was said it justifies the slaughter? WOW talk about a weak gene pool.

If that is OK, then if you ever tell anyone to attack/fight back for what you/they feel is your/their freedom then in your home country shouldn't they then attack and kill, your friends and/or family because that's basically what you said as your response. I for one wouldn't raise any concern if it happen like that to you in return.

So Yingluck fires someone from their post and gets removed, with a COUP to follow, Abhisit murders people and even gets busted on video talking about it and nothing to see here move along. Sounds like that gene pool is expanding.

This country will never see a posative change until fairness is fully enfourced for all people. When a PM runs around murdering people in a protest and walks away from it you can bet the future holds even worst things to come.

  6.

IMO if I was working in a high risk job where accidents happen a lot and these injuries cause blood to flow ...

I would damn well want to know if that person had any diseases ... but that is just me

So if you were seriously hurt and unconscious in a motor vehicle accident and had an open wound with a lot of blood flowing.

You would expect the Paramedics who work in a high risk job and  who attended the accident not to deal with you, because they don't know what diseases you may have. As you stated above.

You boofhead, there are people with HIV and a lot of different diseases, who work as nurses and nurses aids in hospitals all over the world, including Thailand.

They care for patients and nurse them back to health, knowing that they have a virus that has been controlled. They are also employed by the medical profession.

Get a life and learn about life.

OZEMADE what a load of gibberish!

A medical proffessional avoiding their proffession because of risk is basically what you just said.

They chose their proffession with the knowledge of the risk, do I get that same chance to choose the risk when an infected medical personel comes to deal with me? From your statement, NO I don't, and that is nothing but gibberish.

To answer your question, no I wouldn't expect them not to deal with me if they have HIV, because what I would expect are medical personel that deal with such situations at the very least to be free from such seriouse and deadly diseases, otherwise NO I don't want them dealing with me. If that needs to be tattooed on my forehead then pass me the tattoo gun. Because if you think I want to put myself at risk to save from hurting someones feelings you're out of your mind, hey OZEMADE can you tell us how many hours you volunteer at the local Aids clinic?

I don't have HIV and I sure don't need to put myself or my families life at risk of getting it because of hurting someones feeling, screw their feelings I am worried about my feelings when HIV turns into full blown Aids. Maybe those with HIV should ask themselves do I want to put others at risk.

  7. Tackle insurgency? LOL until the world actually realizes what type of Nazi's they are dealing with no progress will ever be made. So just stick to bullying a deposed female PM because those people in the south have guns and you might have to actually fight. It's been 10 years already, 10 years of Thailand losing its land, 10 years of children deliberately being killed and 10 years of it being ignored.

But hey there are foreigners in BKK whom might have some overstay, and some vendors encroaching on the beaches, that is much more important, good thing their are priories. Kumbaya my lord

  8. I have found that my bilingual kids started talking later than others but once they started they were like wiz kids between the two languages. Sometimes I long for the days of silence smile.pngsmile.png

Two years is very late for no speaking, unless you meant she is speaking just not fluently then it is ok.

As for the deaf, why would you not know? If you suspect it then go to a local place and have her tested I mean what's the point in guessing?

Wait till she is sitting on the floor and come up behind her making sure not to make the floor vibrate, hearing impared are more in tune to other things such as vibrations. then softly call her name, If she looks then your fears are just that smile.png

  9. I have 3 websites and the people I am hosting with did 2 of them the 3rd was a DIY.

When I asked for a quote they gave me 5 page static with design was 12k Baht no shopping cart

CMS with shopping cart and design was between 25k and 30k Baht.

I have 1 of each and the results were way better than I expected, my static site I would have paid double anywhere else, my CMS total came in at 27K Baht and it worked perfectly, I am getting the result from it that I intended so money very well spent.

Just a heads up, if you have the cash go for the CMS much easier to deal with, I don't update my static as often as I would like so I am going to change it over to CMS.

shoot them off a message http://www.thaiprowebhosting.co.th

  10. She gave her open and honest opinion about how she feels about Thailand. Why should she kow down to people that do not like her views? This is the problem now, no one can have a different thought apart from the herder of the flock............not all people are sheep. If I were her I would have kept the title and said F U to the rest of them.

So her opinion of wanting all of those people with view different than hers to be executed was OK?

Geez you sure better hope people don't start calling for your execution for having a different view, everyone might just say F.U. to you as well.

  11. I supported this at first, but the more that I read about it, the more skeptical I become. For me, it hinges on whether Bowe Bergdahl was a Taliban sympathizer before he was imprisoned, or not.

Not sure how anyone could support this, all this will do is put bigger targets on soldiers from every country. The facts are Bergdahl is a deserter, and possible sympathizer, Obama released high value terrorists with at least 3 of them with blood on their hands, it was obviously another Obama sympathizing tactic for his Muslim terrorist brothers. If any negotiations were done they should have been done for the Marine in Mexico.

Hopefully this most recent scandal rids the world of Obama and his traitorous ways and epic failures.

  12. Are these terrorists really that stupid that they think bombing a shop will make any difference to any government anywhere in the world? At least go for the people who make the decisions not the innocents who can do nothing about it.

But of course that would require a modicum of courage and bravery, not something readily associated with your bog standard muslim footsoldier.

Unlike those brave buddhists who attack muslim women and children in Myanmar. Or those brave christians in africa like the lords army who have commited crimes that would make a Nazi blush.

The real issue is not muslims but fanatics of all types who believe they serve a higher 'good'

So let me get this straight the Buddhists are bad because they attack Muslims, the Christians are bad because they attack Muslims?

And the Muslims are not bad because they believe they serve a higher good.

Oh wait here are some headlines those brave Muslims serving the higher good have created, (only a few, hundreds and hundreds more available)

Woman shot dead, burnt in Thai deep south

insurgents killed at least five Thai Buddhist women, mutilating three of their bodies

Southern insurgents are killing Buddhist women and spreading terror by beheading and burning their bodies

children, are being affected by the ongoing unrest in the South

Buddhist woman shot dead in southern Thailand as religious tension

Well Forrest Gump nailed it, stupid is as stupid does.

Yup I sure can see those brave Muslim in the south whom killed 6 female students on a school bus that they forced to stop so they could shoot each student in the head, yup great job brave Muslims, you sure are serving a higher good.

Last time I checked Islam and Hitler both shared pretty much the same philosophy. Oh and Forrest how many Buddhists and Christians are killing people in the south of Thailand? The South of Thailand belongs to Thailand yet they want it so being they are so brave have decided to kill women and children to terrorize people to get them out. (Yup Forrest they are "targeting" children)

What a brave religion and people they are, can you see all the damnation coming from Islamic religious leaders? Yea me neither.

Last time I checked the Buddhists in Myanmar are attacking Muslims because they don't want their country to turn into the (profanity deleted by Moderator) every Muslim country turns into, can you believe that, Myanmar a country that most would already consider a <deleted> know if they let Muslims get a foothold it will become even worst. In Africa for years they took being murdered for being Christian and have fought back against it, good on them.

So your telling me that the Buddists and Christians that are "finally" fighting back are brave? Yup I agree with you they are and I hope Thailand becomes as brave as they are and rid the country and hopefully one day the world from the new Nazi's of the world, and if you new anything about Nazi Germany you would know it was a small percent that actually caused all the history.

  13. Listen to the local advice it was given with good reason.

But if you do have suicidal tendencies, then make lots of noise in the daytime including banging on the wall, the only way they will learn anything is when it is done back to them. But again I would suggest just move because the outcome is going to be bad for you not them, that is an already known factor.

  14. "This country has enough problems without these nutters wandering the streets spreading this nonsense"

Many feel the same way about the Atheist nutters, didn't the Atheist this year begin to open their own places to preach against god? Wouldn't that be considered a form of worship? In my day that would be known as Satan worshiping.

Remember if god is fake it cost them nothing to believe in him, but if god is real what will it cost you.

Next time Atheist or not try not being a nutter yourself and decline with some respect, or is respect also against Atheist satanic religion?

  15. Most people welcome the calm and stability martial law provides.

It's good to see the army recognize the incapability of the "current" government to solve the problem or get out of the way.

Also negates CAPO and that imbecile Chalerm, reduce Jataporn's influence and Thaksin's interference.

    Well done Army.

So let me get this straight, being under military control is OK because the guns and tanks around the city bring you calm, but elected citizens such as those whom you have mentioned make you feel uneasy I'm guessing because they don't share the same viewpoint as you, which in turn I'm sure makes them sub human and deserving of all the ill fate that befalls them.

So since they don't share the view of 50% of the country and although they do share the view of the other 50% they should be negated, because that 50% are just uneducated and poor so their viewpoint is worthless.

Honestly people with that type of viewpoint should be negated as well.

Talk about a confusing world we live in.

Boy Bangkok sure can use those troops, god only knows the south is under full control.

Good thing that Martial law happen when Suthep and his mob of criminals were running around breaking massive amounts of laws, oh wait it didn't happen then only when the opposition wanted to stand up, democracy at its best, looks like they took a page out of Obama's play book.

  16. One more time double standard.

The Royalists committed dozens of crimes since 2006 (no need to mention them again) => still at large and even making more troubles in the country (i.e. Suthep).

Some guy like this Jatuporn just spoke against a criminal and he should be in jail?

By the way, this is EXCELLENT => the proof that the justice is always on the side of the aristocracy against the population.

Continue like that and there will be no more aristocracy soon.

As a Newbie I gather you have spent a lot of time getting up to speed on the situation and on the political players in Thailand?

Furthermore Abhisit has been accused of a crime but not even PTP during their time in government had the audacity to push for a court hearing. Therefore he and anyone else that has not been convicted is innocent until proven otherwise. Maybe the country you come from does not operate that basic right?

Jutaporn was convicted and is out on bail and breaking the conditions imposed on him too.

It also appears that you do not understand the words aristocracy or population. Maybe a good idea would be to consult the OED before posting garbage.

As someone so seasoned as yourself you would think with your great wisdom you would have been able to comprehend a simple post.

    I mean really?

"Aristocracy": is a form of government in which power is in the hands of a small, privileged, ruling class.

But you have proven your inability to comprehend a simplistic of term like "Aristocracy" that Enzo used correctly.

The point of the post is that no one on the Royalists side can be charged in order to be convicted, because of the audacity to even consider pressing charges on them is considered unbelievable. Which it has been since Thaksin has been coupe out, you would think with your knowledge on all the players that you would be able to grasp such a simple little "fact"

Have you thought about your own post?

"Abhisit has been accused of a crime" but yet he still hasn't even gone to court. Now Yingluck became PM "after" him and did her time and has been removed as PM by the courts.

The same courts that can't seem to bring Abhisit to trial, on murder charges for 80+ demonstrators. If you can't see your hypocrisy here then let me know and I will draw it in crayons for you.

Maybe you should take a look at yourself before posting such garbage.

  17. When will the hypocrisy end, a POS like Suthep walks around free yet, the courts have the ability to go after this guy. Funny how Martial Law is in affect when the red shirts want to protest but not while the killers are protesting.

So the mod has talk more seriously during their protests when are they all going to be in front of the courts? Oh wait that's right you can take over airports as long as you are on that side but if the other side, "the poor" side steps out of line even for a second, its off with their heads and they are evil.

Poor farmers hold the largest voting block in the country so lets make them suffer even more, to make sure they stop voting for the ONLY party that has ever helped them. Talk about modern day slavery.

    Thailand's true democracy,

  18. It all depends where the money has been accepted, if in the US then tax there, if in Thailand than work permit and tax here.

Remember many people come here for vacation etc. they answer business emails while they are here and it isn't illegal yet they are still doing work of sorts, running an online business from Thailand doesn't need a work permit if all the legalities are in another country, but that countries legalities will need to be dealt with.
