I do not believe this, at all.

Corporations have to be transparent, especially when dealing with governments.

    To suggest otherwise is disingenuous.

Bogus. Only someone trying to hide something would say this.

Even if it does, amend the contract.

And this guy is the legal whiz? Honestly.

Yes, I'll stipulate that riders may be confidential, esp. re: pricing and discounts.

Contracts dont write themselves, if it has a confidentially clause it is because someone put it there and the signaturies to the contract did not object.

Scenarios are dime a dozen and so are dreaming, reality however, is what will happen tomorrow, not in a 120 days, and so far things are not looking good for Thailand as far as vaccinating their population...

If they were putting as much effort in to obtaining vaccines and getting them into arms  as opening Phuket and other parts of the country we may think they care for people more than money

I challenge these fools now to totally ban the sale of alcohol in Thailand, see how your tourism goes then

Honestly - the fools and their rules, reap the benefits through tax revenue and tourism and social structures but then demonise the whole thing - time to face reality, you either want to totally ban it or face reality and stop with this stupid nonsense.

Either #### or get off the pot

The time rules are lip service to the foreign do gooders, Alcoholism is a problem in Thailand but mainly up country where Lao Cow (white rotgut) is drunk. There are no time restrictions on sales of this in the many small shops. The Govt was advised to price on the basis of the alcohol percent (a proven deterrent) but that would have affected their popularity at election time so they based the tax on the retail price and guess what; beer is the most affected. But thats ok because it's farangs who mainly drink beer.

That is nonsense that they said. All they can do is fine you for not reporting your address.

They may of been trying to get extra money out of you.

Did you have a booking at the hotel that you first listed and do you have a record? Maybe you could use that documentation but explain circumstances changed But then you should have notified IO within 24 hrs of your new address

Nothing new here about expats not getting the vaccine

I am waiting to hear from my international hospital in Bangkok  when they will aquire the vaccine then go and pay as expected

You have just been told, it will START in October, nothing said about when you will get the second shot

I am pretty sure the hospitals will have to pay up front. And the vaccine has only a limited shelf life. I understand that they don't just order amount x only to find out that the demand is not what they expected.

As long as they have a fair refund policy I don't think paying up front is a problem.

Its not the pay up front that concerns me it is the wait until October to start jabs. Where are the AZ vaccines and could a first shot of AZ be given BEFORE October. The next few months are going to be dangerous due to the forthcoming predominance of the delta version and possibly even a delta + version

Watch the numbers rocket in July... little testing, virtually no lockdowns [unless your in a work camp] people starting to migrate away from Bangkok.

    Spreading the love.

Samut Sakhon Thailands bread basket in serious trouble again.

Statement above is a correct analysis. By example the recent Delta outbreak in Sydney Australia was sourced from one individual ferrying air crew. Its rate of growth is dramatic and prompted the severe lockdown now in place. We here are being too complacent for which we will pay a high price.

just process the test result without challenging the test basis, as if any of you are qualified, despite throwing around trial method terms like you are experts.....

result makes some sense as a brazilian trial had Sinovac at 100% effective against original covid death or hospital case.....

yes these test results are from non- western sources and are therefore unreliable.... but its good news if you chose to be optimistic & positive.

    I prefer to be realistic

From what I've read, the building was on some sort of filled area, and had subsided about 2mm per year for 30 years.  And the 40 year inspection was currently in process.   Ouch.

I suggest we wait for the subsequent report but as an Engineer my money is on re-bar corrosion in the outer columns causing spalling in the concrete. Rust expands and cracks the concrete. The compressive strength of the concrete is thus weakened and cannot support the weight it was carrying.

    Ancient History

There was a Hotel in Khon Kaen that collapsed in early 90's. Killed a few people as I recall. Long forgotten, the only reason I remember is because I stayed in the bleeding place, 89, a year before it collapsed. Must have been a mid range hotel recommended by Lonely Planet.

Thankfully that is one of the few in Thailand. Yep you would think more given the lack of regulations, but this was an exception. I believe it was Cairo Egypt which had repeated collapses back in those days, but you not going to retire there anyway so ..

I had lunch in the ground floor restaurant one week before the collapse. Investigation concluded it was due to illegally added water tanks on the roof to supply the massage parlors. The additional weight was just too much. Still remember the waitresses in the restaurant who perished.

indeed i am affraid thailnd is heading into a disaster.

in pandemic  everyday counts. and the government does not seem

to get the severety of the situation.

does it mattar if the malls will be closed 9 p.m. or 7 p.m. ?

yes it mattars to the economy but not for the virus.

again oil massage solutions that rub only the surface.

another solution is the mexican - open all now and this way

    at least save the economy.

yes there will be hundreads of deaths every day, from the virus. but many

others will be saved from hunger and depression.

So if you were going to be affected by one or the other which one would you take?.

And I agree Thailand is heading for a disaster.  The choice, lock down to suppress transmission until you have adequate effective vaccines to undertake a really mass vaccination program that will allow you to open the country and save the economy or muddle along as the incompetants are doing now and enter the disaster as mentioned above
