Been looking at Neta V for a while now.

New was 430kbht, but suddenly 2 year s/h became 219kbht.

So for a 2 year old EV with 25,000Km @219kbht (inc transfer, 1 year tax but no insurance) I couldn't resist.

Only driven it 30Km so far,

    The good,

Plenty of leg and headroom, seating comfortable, very easy to drive, very smooth ride, nice responsive light steering.

1Kwhr takes me 8Km, so very cheap to run.

I turned on "1 pedal" so when you stop accelerating it brakes gently on it's own.

I turned "creeping" off, too easy in stalled traffic to forget to keep your foot on the brake, then you're into the car in front.

I like the fact I don't need to use the remote key, button on the drivers door which unlocks and turns everything on when you enter, and locks and turns off everything when you exit.

Centre mirror has a USB connection for a dashcam.

Doesn't feel or look any cheaper than the other small hatchbacks on the market (Swift, Mazda 2, City, etc).

    The Slightly annoying,

Carplay is only for wired phone connections and apps, once launched best operated from the phone screen as the 14" touch screen isn't very responsive, but it surprisingly works with Android phones using the Carbitlink app from play store.

Not obvious how to turn cruise control off once you're cruising.

    The bad,

Windscreen cluttered (like many modern cars).

Very limited view through the rear windscreen, rear passenger seats and headrests are in the way.

Electric adjustable side mirrors don't fold back, everything else electric, but no electric folding mirrors.

I'm not a person that really cares about a car other than it gets me to where I want to go.   After  buying a Neta V last October, I got rid of my truck last month because the Neta was so much nicer to drive.  Now after switching I now do care about comfort and ease of use which will make it hard to ever go back to driving an ICE car.  Camping trips and picnics  are on a whole different level with the Neta V.  I bought an external power supply for 500 baht and now I have more power than I use at home available  for days while camping (not really camping I guess ).

The bankruptcy sucks but already over it.  Most likely  there will be workarounds for parts and maintenance.  Many options are popping up every month and other than CDU box  issues, most problems should be easy to resolve.  My brother in-law has 100k on his Neta and zero issues other than his wife backing into a truck and having to wait months for a panel.  He just got his last checkup because the dealership told him it might not be around much longer.  Also I noticed his odometer is now 56k - LOL.

You were right before when you said it’s really just one person, or maybe a handful of conservatives, driving all of this. What they’re trying to do doesn’t make sense on any level, not economically, politically, socially, or civilly. So you start to wonder, why even push it when it's going to harm the livelihood of tens of thousands of people. Is it all just about political rivalries and personal vendettas? Or is it about serving personal interests, either of those in government or connected to the alcohol industry? If it’s the government itself, then everything could end quickly if the current administration collapses soon. But if it’s the alcohol cartels behind it, this could remain a source of conflict for a long time.

I'm all for legalization but this above is an oversimplification without any consideration of alternative viewpoints.  It is FAR from one person pushing for changes to how pot is sold and smoked.  There are many others reasons that are not dark or conspiratorial  that may be behind the possible enforcement of existing and new laws.

People that have  used weed like myself need to drop the righteous attitude and start being solution oriented.  There has to be a better alternative than the haphazard weed legalization a few years ago.  It just took off and everybody I think was amazed with the magnitude of the weed dispensaries and public smoking.  Too much for many to digest and telling them to go to hell if you don't like it was the prevailing sentiment.  What is happening now is the result.

More like a 60 year period? So for the past 60 years America has been bad for world peace but that doesn't count? Ancient history is more relevant? America needs to disentangle itself now.

What happened the prior 60 years?  Your making my point.  The previous 60 years was extremely violent and make the altercations you listed look like bar brawls.  America is FAR from perfect.

You sure about that. America put the Shah of Iran in power instead of the legitimately elected party. South and Central America wracked by bloodshed and military rule thanks to the USA. The Vietnam War and the Iraq war made the world safer somehow?

Which are nothing burgers compared to previous conflicts.  You just covered 50 year period.  What happened the prior 50 years?  Yep, I'm sure the world has been a much much much safer place 🙂

  5. The world is full of terrible people that enjoy beating others and especially if in a group.  The Thais should be arrested and the same would apply if they were Americans.  Don't know what went down before the video but SERIOUSLY doubt it could justify the beating.  He is fortunate and probably should  evaluate how he got in the mess in the first place.  Lovely GF he has acquired 🙂  If my friends back home saw this girl which I called my GF behaving like this, I would be mortified.

Absolutely. Even if Putin does invade his neighbors, so what? How will that hurt America? If the Europeans are so alarmed about this, let them handle it. Since this is the case,  I still don't understand why President Trump thinks it's important for Europeans to up their defense spending. Why should that even be a concern of the United States? Why is the American still in NATO? How to reconcile that with America First?

Better ot have friends when you need them but get what you are saying.  Don't agree 100% but generally think America should play a much smaller role in policing the world.  It is worth considering the impact the USA has had since it began to police the world.  The world isn't perfect but vs pre-American military dominance, It sure is much less deadly.

And the possibility of Iranian sleeper cells doing harm to Americans just increased exponentially.  Why do you think that the FBI is no longer helping capture dangerous illegals? Now they have to hunt down Iranian terrorists in America.

Making some good points and not losing your cool.  Refreshing thread and still think the Pres is making the right decisions but time will tell.  Would you include the Ukraine involvement as  also a bad idea?

I was in an accident in a first world country as a teenager. The car turned from a side street onto the main road where my motorcycle was driving. This scenario is similar to doing. U-turn. I struck the car from the rear. The investigating officer said that if the entering vehicle made it completely into the lane then it's the fault of the rear vehicle, in that case, me. Once a vehicle is in the lane, the overtaking vehicle is always at fault.

Yes it is assumed if no other info is available that the car doing the rear-ending is at fault.  It is determined that the car in front is at fault or nobody is at fault depending on many scenarios.  Below are just a few from AI.   BTW- I wasn't the person that attached the laughing whatever you call it pic on your post.

    • Sudden, Unnecessary Braking:
If the front driver slams on their brakes for no apparent reason, and this causes a rear-end collision, they could be partially or fully at fault.

    • Malfunctioning Brake Lights:
If the front driver's brake lights are not working, the following driver may not have adequate warning of a stop, and this could shift some liability according to Drake Injury Lawyers.

    • Sudden Lane Changes:
If the front driver makes a sudden lane change without signaling and cuts off another driver, leading to a rear-end collision, they could be held liable.
    • "Brake Checking":
If the front driver intentionally slams on the brakes to intimidate or retaliate against the driver behind, they are likely at fault for any resulting collision.
    • Mechanical Failure (with prior knowledge):
If the front driver's car has a mechanical issue (like brake failure) and they continue driving without addressing it, and this leads to a rear-end collision, they could be held liable according to Steinger, Greene & Feiner.

The brakes are what slow you down not the horn....🙂

My first reaction to something this dangerous and imminent is to hit the brakes .

The horn is a secondary action .

I doubt he hit the horn but maybe he has quicker reflexes than most or He was pissed and let his temper overcome common sense and this was the result. Another possibility is he did hit the horn and the older guy panicked and swerved into his pathway.

The driver of the truck is at fault. Any accident where a vehicle is struck from the rear is the fault of the vehicle in the rear. If he hit the side of the bike, different story.

No - not if they are entering a new lane and definitely not if they are u-turning into oncoming traffic.  You are mostly right though when it comes to traffic going in the same direction.  His dashcam should have the details needed.  I just got a better  dashcam for this reason.

But they were allowed! If they weren't, no one stopped them, hence the 18000 dispensaries that opened and countless groweres. No one was being arrested or prosecuted. Given it seemed that whether intended or not recreational use seem there to stay, why would people seek to supply the market. They were doing nothing illegal, just making a living like anyone else.

Huh? Another delusional rant from a person that is bent about the impending enforcement of  laws.  IMO, make it legal but the tireless posts by those that don't like the law are tiresome.  If valid points were made and not lies and silly rants they would get more support.  People just got tired of hearing how wonderful it was and anybody that didn't buy into their narrative 200% was ridiculed.

Such a wonderful opportunity to get weed without risk trashed by the better than thou segment of the weed smokers.  Still easy enough for me to obtain but  what fools.

    Has Iran confirmed...............lol

You need to do a little better than that.

No he can't.  This is him at his best and it only gets much worse. I'm sure he backed the USA involvement in Ukraine.  What is the death toll of that war?  If  the peace-loving nation of Iran or its proxies were able to kill many more Israelis it would be wonderful in his demented mind.

THat is just the lowest form of evidence and you seem to think it's valid!?!?!!?

You cut out a portion of my comment to misrepresent what I stated.  Is it really that important to be right that you have to be deceitful?  Sad man you are...

You need to chill and listen in lieu of being aggressive.  You are the worst type of smoker and the type that caused the ban.  You can only see your perspective and enjoy bashing other alternative perspectives.  I've smoked a lot over the years but completely understand others reservations and do my best to indulge while blending in.

Dude - where is all the anger and terrible manners coming from?

nonsense - this is pure poilitics and prejudice - they've now got to squeeze the touthpaste

Utter nonsense - the thing is how do you tell??? - I know several very motivated and wealthy people who smoke every day - the thing is the only way you can say that is pure comjecture and confirmation bias - do you expect a millionaire to stand in front of you light up a joint and the "still motivated"???

And I do know some wealthy who smoke also.  I also know of others that smoke throughout the day and have cratered their careers.  I also know from personal experience that I am substantially less productive while smoking.

If you believe smoking makes you more productive, I really could care less 🙂 I don't think it should be banned and productivity isn't the end all.  Sorry if my opinion upset you but you do realize it is an opinion?  No reason to get bent about it.

Don't think it would matter, this is a fight between cannabis and casinos, nothing else.

And the casinos owned by foreign nationals will suck all the cash out of Thailand.

Thaksin and treason rolled up together, and hopefully soon burned.

probably right about  it not mattering but you lost me after that 🙂 Not sure what casinos and Thaksin have to do with cannabis but I far from up to date on current events.

It has always intrigued me as to why the staunch anti cannabis brigade spend so much time on cannabis based threads.  Trolling and generally insulting others is strange behaviour from people trying to or claiming to occupy the moral high ground.

The really amazing thing is that their aversion to cannabis is based on 100 year old propaganda from the USA

I do find many of the anti weed posters have interesting perspectives but the pompous fools that are insulting bore me.

Smoking at home or ,when in public, in areas that don't offend others would have probably eliminated the risk of it being banned.  For whatever reason the smell and the act of smoking is upsetting to many.  Too bad we can't rewind the legalization and implement strict restrictions on where it could be smoked and sold.
