don't you love JOBS FOR THAIS, women for THAIS, corruption for THAIS
maybe if there was GRAB or UBER, you would pay FAIR prices instead the extortion those pesky taxi drivers dare & can ask as there is NO COMPETITION
what about GUIDES that does speak thaiglish you don't understand and again, ask whatever they want
Dont bank on Grab Taxi for fair rates, Phuket 10km = 600bht going, 640bht for return journey, same route.

It's been a few years since I sold my old motorcycle, but I recall that both buyer and seller had to get some documents witnessed by the police (we were both foreigners).
That was possibly proof of residency.

A lot of good advice people, thank you so much.
POA seems a good way to go to start and whilst there seems to be many hurdles and issues, it could be quite rewarding to get it
done and post the results!

Appreciate those thoughts. The owner is known to me for many years and it certainly is free of finance, not stolen or used as collateral.
Shes just dumb, frankly and it suits me to get her out of this jam as well as by the car.

Yes I heard about the police report but I cant do it because Im not the owner!
Im pretty sue my last car was a green book..I could be wrong!

Hope someone can help.
I am buying a car off an expat who has returned to Spain, however the green book has gone
awol and she never made copies!
In addition the car has not had tax for 3 years, I suspect a cost saving excercise!
My question is what is the procedure to get the car into my name and what are the costs?
Thanks in anticipation.

Do you mean agents?
Yes they are still around. Plenty adverts to be seen, if in the Pattaya area a walk down soi Buakhao will show some, or Google.
From an agents website just now..
No Funds No Problem – We can Help you meet the requirements – we offer a postal service, simply post your documents to us & we will do the rest guaranteed!
That sounds like the Patts guy I have used before.
A url to my inbox would be appreciated, if you have time
Thanks

There were a couple of companies 2 or 3 years ago offering retirement visa assistance for those short of funds.
Does anyone know if they still operate?
Thanks in advance

I stopped by the AOB Shop in MBK (on aisle C, walk straight into the mobile phone area from Tokyu, turn left on aisle C, AOB is near the end on the left).
They had quite a crowd, with at least two of eight or so, people buying the OnePlus 3. It is a very nice phone. They had two left in stock for today, but I think they get a daily allotment, so will have more tomorrow and Sunday. Obviously call first.
They also have Nexus 5X, and 6P (1512).
Thank you all so much for replies and advice.
Went to AOB today and got one. Very impressed.
They now seem to have plenty of stock both grey and gold.
Messing for a couple of hours, it is intuitive and rapid, much quicker than my ip5

Are you serious? All this talk about guns. This has very little to do with guns and everything to do with alcohol.
Therefore, surely, learning why so many are addicted to alcohol will bring us closer to the reason for these deaths.
Wow, he shot him with a glass of beer? Classic.

I find it sad that many posters seem not to have heard of Post Natal Depression, or the effect it
can have on a lady.
Too judgmental without knowing the facts.

i still have 3 months to go so i am not in a hurry. bahtsold has worked every time for me so far. sold 2 houses on it as well.
Yes, I put it on a free ad on that site. Previously sold my civic in 2 days on TV but their classifieds are down at the moment.
Will reduce price and put on featured this weekend, maybe better than free ad.

i have bought and sold many cars in thailand although i have had a work permit but i dont think that is necessary. you may just needs something other than a 30 day visa. can get some great deals on second hand cars off foreigners who are leaving thailand. like me for example, i am selling my mitsubishi triton pickup half price of a new one and only 3 years old. thai visa and bahtsold websites have many options.
Selling my Ford Escape, leaving at end of month so bargain to be had!
You got there first though 5555

I have just ordered one through Lazada.....should arrive next week some time.
I have had nothing but bad stuff from Lazada.
Reluctant to go that route but would be interested in your experience.
From what I saw on their site the sellers are quoting massive discounts but still selling at RRP.
Thats red flag for me.
I want to go somewhere where I can check the product and not pay before being allowed to open the box!

This guy is very respected for his reviews......so judge for yourself. I am also interested to hear from others who may have purchased this phone.
Cheers.
Thanks so much for that. It bears out my thoughts exactly.
Does anyone know a reputable place in Bangkok that stocks the phone.
I have decided to buy based on my own observations plus this excellent video review.

I don't think there was ever a rule where you could be self-employed in Thailand without a work permit.
He never said the employment was in Thailand. Nit picking for junta approval?

At least Gatwick is near the airport,I'm out of here in a couple of months anyway just came to spend time with my ageing parents,.
Probably going to give Cambo and Vietnam a year or two to try them out,Thailand's a pain right now with visa rules constantly changing and the Philippines, well that's another story altogether with what is happening now, such a shame as I love the place and especially the people!I agree about Thailand and the general population, I am seriously going to miss many Thai friends and my lifestyle here.
I suppose I have just become jaded with the so called powers that be and their transparent lack of intellect, forcing the populace into submission through subliminal threats.

It really is weird here the good, old British summer. One day it is 25 even up to 30 degrees and like the Mediterranean as it's supposed to be for the next three days or so I think? Then it's winter again cold ,wet and miserable I honestly don't know anywhere else in the World where the weather is just so poor!
Even as you fly into Britain and cross the English Channel you can see a thick,low-lying cloud formation covering the whole island, despite central Europe being absolutely cloud-free and beautiful sunshine all summer!
(It's my first one for 16 years and probably the last one ever, there really is nothing here for me or anyone that knows better!)I built my business in the south, near Gatwick and lived 3 days ( sometimes 4 or 5!) in my Spanish place.
I have a small portfolio of properties in Spain so will use the sol as a more agreeable living place whilst I decide.
I do prefer tropical climates so South America/ South East Asia are my favourite places.
In the meantime I will enjoy spending time with my family.

Actually I'm here now and today it is blue, after many days of constant rain or drizzle. That horrible,Chinese-water-torture phenomenon that only exists in this sceptred (septic) isle!
After todays 90 day fiasco, I am looking forward to a SHORT time there!
I use the term short time in a globally accepted sense, not Thai centred!

Im currently in Phuket and am converting to a work permit from retirement.
I understand I have to get the paperwork, go out and get the Imm B, lawyer is dealing with paperwork.
My questions are, where is the best place to get an Imm B without hassle, are there any agency runs
from Phuket and what are costs.
Thanks for help.
