Is't the 90 days starts to count the from the day you enter the country (The Visa says enter before Sep 2014) which I guess means that the right time to convert his Visa would be around Oct 15 due to our arrival Aug 15. /Thanks for your help

Yesterday I picked up my Non O-A visa from the Thai Embassy in Sweden valid for a year, with 90 days reporting , at the same time I also received the Visa for my son who is 12 years. The embassy issued a non O visa but valid for only 90 days which I think is strange due to the fact that I'm his legal guardian and a dependent child and we are going to live in Thailand , my question is can I extend his visa in Thailand ? Thankful for advise.

In many of these cases Thai ladies married to Swedish men is behind scams like this, They create a company and go to Thai villages and convince hard working Thai people to come to Sweden during the summer months and make a lot of money picking blueberries , lingonberries and mushrooms but the people make the most out of it is this small scamming companies. I know this for a fact , the best for everyone would be for the berry pickers try to come and visit family instead on a three month tourist visa. My wife is Thai and she had her relatives her there times and they also made a decent amount of money to bring back to Thailand. The warning from the Thai Embassy in Stockholm is very valid. My advise is to investigate the job offer very carefully. There is plenty of berrys here and it's enough for everyone, and there is many serious companies that buy the berries and mushrooms.

Thanks , this is very helpful, why doesn't the Thai embassy give this information, they claim that he need a student visa, which is ok but to get one I need to register him in a proper school ant that is not so easy if you still is abroad.

I'm married to a Thai woman and our marriage are registered both in Sweden and Thailand. We are moving to Thailand in August and I have a 12 year old child from a previous relation which I have sole custody for , What kind of non-emigrant visa's are the best to apply for for me and my son. ? It seems that I have a few options but are there any options for my son? like a dependent visa, I'm 50+
Confused about Visa for a dependent child

For my son it's a single entry visa, which I want to extend inside Thailand due to my child is a minor depending on me and my wife which is Thai. I was told that I could not get a marriage visa and claim him as dependent hence my child is not my wife's biological child, he is Swedish. I would prefer a marriage visa before a Non immigrant O-A visa which I have. I don't understand this rules . If a Thai woman bring here Thai children with her and marry a EU Citizen, she and the children will automatically get the same resident permit . but I understand that different countries has different rules, but for me i don't make any common sense.
