A week ago or so TAT said it was 20000 Russians stranded in Thailand, and I don't doubt TAT on this, at Jomtien Beach 2:30 PM there was a lot of falangs congregating and swimming, maybe they needed to cool down after hours in the immigration line ?

Went to futurepark on Friday all the restaurants have tables set up for orders either in person or phone. They also had about 30 grab motorbike riders waiting for orders.
You call MBK the restaurant prepares and it is sent out with a grab motorbike simple actually.
As to booze have afeeling that 5-6 is going to be very busy at 7/11
It's very easy to buy alcohol in Mom & Pap stores usually open 7am-6pm at least on the Dark Side in Pattaya.

Pink cards only came out later, in 2017?. I only know one person who got one. Infact i hadforgotten they exist.
Also pointless....but lets see how many pink card holders disagree
Totally disagree. ID: I have entered local attractions and national parks many times (in some cases it might differ) for the same price as Thais. Yellow Book: Immigration Extension, Applications to Government related agencies. Like NBCT, CAAT, Land and Transportation Office etc.

will that be an O-A visa ?? ?,she will already have UK insurance cover.she has a neighbour trying to get the E Visa, but proving very difficult,if they hit her with requiring to get Thai insurance, she will never come again. regards worgeordie
Try to get a tourist visa valid 2 months , that can be extended here in Thailand and a good travel insurance from UK.

USPS offers different types or classes of postal mail service with different delivery times. Which service did you use for your letter to an address in Pattaya?
https://www.usps.com/international/mail-shipping-services.htm#quickcompare
I don't think it matters if you don't send it EMS, I live in a Moo Baan in Pattaya and we all 57 villas receive our mail once a month in bundle with a rubber band , We have been to the post office and complained, but nothing happened. TIT

The transfers are only available to countries in the Eurozone (except Slovenia). Since Denmark and Sweden are not in the Eurozone, they were not included.
For marketing purposes we stuck with calling it EU, by no means is this an attempt to mislead; it is merely using a word commonly used by regular people to describe a region, a cluster of countries that share the same currency, not a union/trading bloc.
OK I understand but what about UK and Scotland they are not in the eurozone , they are using pounds an we DK and SE are using krona DKK and SEK and members of EU of course

Hi Scottie, thanks for pointing that out, we are fixing it immediately!
As for transfers from the UK INTO Thailand. That is currently not possible with us. DeeMoney specializes in transfers FROM Thailand to the world.
I also miss Denmark and Sweden also a part of EU

YOU CAN HAVE THE VIRUS AND NOT SHOW SYMPTOMS.
How difficult is it for these people to understand what is going on?
Cancel all visas. No exceptions. Or pay the price.
Close the border to China like many other countrys , cancel all flights. For Thailand it seem to be all about money. Clowns...

Again not the point, the aviation chart for CNX would suggest that drone is within the airspace designated for CNX flight operations.
CNX is a military airport and it is not a good idea to fly a drone within the airspace.
Other than that I agree the size of those fires is appalling.
If it is a restricted air space marked in red on the map you can't even take off with real real UAV

‘Eat, Shop, Spend’
That sounds like a science-fiction novel.
How would that be possible ‘Eat, Shop, Spend' with a balloon currency that sooner or later will explode, no one with sane mindset will go to destinations where you will get ripped off, people don't afford Thailand anymore and it's not only tourists and expats even Thai people suffering. The only way would be that BOT devaluate the currency 15-20 %, and the tourist will be back...

Would'n it be nice to consider to close this thread. Its just a bunch of speculations on 131 pages and lot of BS, and as of today there is some hard evidence with a new or old O-A visa health insurance is required from government from approved health insurance companies. Try to se this with bright eyes and relax, if you don't afford health insurance go back to your home country or go the other suggested way, and who knows what happen in the near future at immigration, looks like todays report in the news the turism incl. expat sector suffering a lot. Changes to current regulations might come sooner than later. Cheers everyone.

Apparently not all immigration officers have gotten the message it does not apply to a visa issued prior to October 31st.
I seems the person that stamped you in to the country for a year was aware of that.
This thread is getting more and more confusing the more you read. For us who entered the country several years ago initially on a O-A visa and reside here now on an extension of stay based on retirement, does the new health insurance requirements apply to us as well ? Thankful for a clarification...

Fun fact .....
"Japan is the largest market with more than 20,000 stores under the name “Seven & I Holdings,” the parent company of 7-Eleven since 2005 [PDF]. America ranks among the top with 7896 locations, along with by Thailand and South Korea with more than 11000 and 7000 stores, respectively."
http://mentalfloss.com/article/51629/11-facts-about-7-eleven-711
i think the numbers are to low for 7/11 , they opend a now store a few months ago across the street from my house here in Pattaya and that one was no; 13500 something, so it's for sure over 14000. ps; you usually find the store number close to the entrance.

Went to Immigration today to do my 90 day report,it took less than 3 minutes, no questions about TM30. I have during the last four months 14 days of hotel nights so I was thinking maybe the will ask me but not, just a smile from female IO handing over my passport. What really surprised me was that the office was nearly empty. It used to be packed with people all the way to the front door, maybe the tourists and expat leaving Thailand.

No need to have money in the bank if you can meet the 65k baht income requirement.
Thank you Ubonjoe , always helpful as usual

I don't understand, What about a letter from your bank proving foreign deposits , of 65000 THB every month or more, together with income affidavit from your Embassy or consulate. Does it also need 800K/400K sitting in a Thai bank for months ? The vast majority are still Issue them with the exception of four countries.

At immigration, correct - English is fine. But at amphoes, it's another story.
For example, my English "affirmation of freedom to marry" document (from my embassy) had to be translated to Thai and the translation and original certified by the MFA. Marriages are registered by amphoes - not by Immigration. The amphoe's docs, and your originals, are required by immigration for your extension.
You are correct...

Not sure the consular officer gave you correct info. They should still accept your Australian marriage certificate.
You cannot get married again here.
You can only register your foreign marriage at an Amphoe to get a Kor Ror 22 foreign marriage registry. You will need to have marriage certificate legalized by the Australian embassy or an authority there. Then the translation of it would have to be certified by the Department of Consular Affairs in Bangkok.
Translation not needed for documents in english

Why don't people using the income method (Transfer 65.000 THB in to your Thai bank every month) hassel free year around.

Shopping experience at Big C Extra Pattaya Klang
in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Posted
Went today for food shopping at Big C where they had a heat scanner, checking body temperature at the entrance from the parking , also gel for the hands. Went upstairs and in to the grocery section of the store. I was amazed chicken and pork in the open air, the same with the bread department . I was a little bit upset and went to a manager at the bread department and asked him why bread is't packed in plastic bags, paper bags, or containers. The ignorant man said to me "why not, people wearing face masks" , I was amazed of the answer, I tried to explain to him what other stores do to prevent contamination from hands etc. He did't wanted to listen and went back into the bakery. Is this the way things should be handeld in Corona times like this?. You will find similarities in other supermarkets in Pattaya , where meet and poultry is in the open air... and thousands of people walking by. My opinion is that Health officials at the city hall should act on this.
