  1. 10, 27, 38, 61, 142, 196, 240 oops we dont have so many... Wonder which algorithm is being used
  2. If the pax are double jabbed, tested prior to departure and upon arrival, The risk profile of those travellers would be at par if not in close range with any other nations.
  3. why not! West is accepting jabbed indians. what stops thais from doing so? The conditions being used for entry are - double vax - testing before departure - testing upon arrival
  4. Lets get this right... China is the main target. will however depend on what CCP decides on letting their citizens out. Long list of 27 countries is more of a camouflage for Chinese, Wonder how many visitors they have had in the past from majority of the countries listed in the additional 20!
  5. That segment will be limited to Chinese. Majority of Indians who arrived in the past went to pats for a long weekend as flights were inexpensive, short hauls and visa upon arrival at a nominal fee. With CoE/Thai pass and no nightlife, majority will go elsewhere. TAT seems to be ignorant that there are several choices for big spenders and thailand drops in the pecking order for mega spenders.
  6. Wonder how many visitors they would have had from the 20 additional countries in the past decade...
  7. He has a valid point.. Nightlife venues have been shut for the best part of 2 years. There is a high probability of doors hinges being rusted. Hence reopening needed 'utmost care'!
  8. That's all he intended to communicate in the press release.. Rest is all fluff
  9. This should be the decision making parameter. Travel history/country of residence, than their nationality..
  10. thats good news, then. Talking to mates, they were looking at mid 2022...
  11. just saw that... So its going to be 2-4 countries on a sure list and a rigmarole of other 6-8 nations..
  12. At least India is providing some stats of infections and inoculations... China has masked that out pretty well, but qualified!
  13. If China qualified, wonder why Australia did not make the list. Both countries may not be letting their citizens leave homeland for at least another 9 months
  14. No breathing at high intensity... We will be issuing CoE (cert of entry) for the citizens who wants to make out. requirements: - insurance - fit to F certificate from authorized personal
  15. how productive would it have been, if these resources for testing, were focussed on inoculating kids that needed it
  16. One starts to wonder, who is responsible for landing the country in the first place. secondly, host of other nations were taken off the red list, so what superhuman effort came from our superman!
  17. Brilliant Idea!! We want domestic tourists to spend 882bill. All we need, is to ensure the domestic population has disposable income of 882bill, so that they can spend... drilling down; 70mill population - 882bill spend - if 25% of the population takes part in this bonanza, thats some 50,000/tourist - assuming 4 pax per family, thats 200,000 baht per family of disposable income for tourism. Now, on to the next brilliant idea...
  18. with some chalk powder pigments.. As sunblock is banned, there has to be a new market for these products
  19. From 2023 January, - All tourists visiting beach locations would be a levied a 'submarine maintenance fees' - All tourists visiting mountains would be paying for 'space and moon mission'.
  20. Front page news in May 2022: Every man, woman and child who enters Thailand from January 1st will have to pay 50,000 baht for the privilege... Earlier estimated one million tourists couldn't make it. but to meet our greed of 500mill, each of the 10,000 tourists arriving during the year would pay 50,000 a piece. NB: each tourist would receive a complementary herbal sunscreen (upon payment of 8000 baht).
  21. Errata: Only 51 business are open right now. rest are closed. The % was a typo..
  22. yes, outage hurts when those are the only wheels at one's disposal. out of curiosity, what are the common breakdowns?
