  1. its all a volume game here. Chinese are the largest target visitors and they don't stay longer than 30, unless they have upto some games here. that is the only audience getting any attention
  2. If most of the visitors are staying less than 30 days, how would this reduction of stay from 60 to 30 days reduce the risk of unlawful activates always chasing the wrong shadows
  3. did he pay the half a bill $ penalty, before starting campaign for more
  4. I can confirm this recommendation. Have taken a buddy with skin cancer and my kid for violent acne. Both at her private clinic. She was helpful and affordable
  5. fix own backyard, before focusing on dust on your Neighbours windows
  6. Where did i hear this before.. it was the bar-girl mantra for farangs.... dont like thai men, dont like asians only like you, she said looking a the wallet
  7. Bars are not the only tourist revenue earners for Thailand. ie Bars are not the metric for tourism earnings, except for bar stool tourists. Few of the falangs leaving would also help reduce crime here. Most of the developing world were colonies of western world, but some falangs may have missed independence of these countries and cant digest progress of non-western countries. This is real people. let it sink in. Chinese and Indians are wealthy and come in numbers, whether others like it or not. Russians have cash and they will spend where they feel like.
  8. A week back they were worried about drop in tourists. now it all seem to be fixed With 30% of global population being chinese or indian, a small portion of them coming here would result in a large increase in arrivals. we like it or not, that will continue. During peak summer months arabs will visit with families as its too hot over there, so no surprises of the growth in that segment
  9. next step in this narrative... anybody wanting to burn an incense stick will be provided with corn straw filled with incense powder for the next season
  10. i can suggest the following https://66property.com https://www.fazwaz.com I have had good experiences with both of them. the first one, goes out of the way to get results. in fact, if the price is right and its a decent product, it does sell pretty quick. May i ask the location or name of the condo?
  11. 2 weeks ago, there was another snippet of a female screaming 'ya ying', (dont shoot) from an ambulance, on BBC. Dont know if that was thai ER staff in the ambulance or an attack victim being taken to hospital
  12. being one of the tallest people in town, he should be able to lift it above norm
  13. 2 of the best in CM would be both with different character. A luxury retirement facility in Thailand (careresortchiangmai.com) - mae rim area. Vivobene - Assisted living and care in Thailand doi saket area if assistance care is not required, both were around 50k a month incliuding full board.
  14. In as much as many of would prefer not to see Indians or Chinese or even Ruskies, times have changed and a small fraction of those populations who have higher spending power are outnumbering westerners. Pattaya is certainly an exception as most indians visiting appears to be short stays, only to party and return. growth in the number of india focussed nightvenues or those clubs on WS that only let in chinese, koreans or japs are thiving Having said all this, the focus in the OP is about attracting wedding groups from india. I have seen some of these in Khao Lak, they splurge and couple of flight loads per wedding is great business for establishments in thailand. Not for the night venues, unfortunately. Can you imagine the income/day/person for these groups...
  15. While walking along the sidewalk in front of pattaya night market (across from view talay condo), two blokes who appear to be pakistani or indian, made a comment about my bald head in broken english. Made me curious as one of my buddies had been conned recently and had narrated his experience. For lack of nothing better to do during the afternoon, i played along. This is how is goes, - they get your attention by commenting about your bald head, - if you take that bait, he shows photos of his bald head in the past! And tada... he has thick hair now! - Tells you its very easy, get pure coconut oil, mix a, b, c herbs and apply on your head for 1 month and its all magic...???? So i asked him for details of the a, b & c. I could not grasp his prescription and the kind gentlemen took me to a herbal product shop in the pattaya night market. The shop appears to be similar to a hemp shop, but has 100s of bottles or cans with supposed herbs. its manned by an asian guy & a thai lady. So i went on to buy a small bottle of cocunut oil which was only 120 baht. thats where my experience stops as i was not ready to part with more money. From my buddies experience, he lost in excess of 40,000baht. apparently the herbs, a, b & c are priced 50, 120, 1800 baht per gram and he was prescribed to buy 12 gms based on his age & weight ????. the price of the most expensive herb 'c' is not disclosed until the 'a' & 'b' is mixed in the coconut oil you bought off them. Has anybody else come across this scheme? if not, this can be heads up for any others that may be approached in future.
