they probably do just want a "pretty" Filipino teacher

I learned quickly that this is how things work in this country.... they borrow, and only give things back when it is broken and need fixing. - or next life as they say themself
So now i have two sets of tools...
one set (with rapidly declining number of tools) that is for "family" to borrow from, this is also where i put my old tools when i replace anything.
Second set is in my workshop (man-cave) this is locked and there is only one key, and that one they can only get from my dead body...

Thailand to become the ASEAN region's center in green energy
Another "frigging" hub to put up there in their imaginations.....
It is going to be a big "crash and burn" the day when the Thais will have to loose face big time and understand that they are loosing out to all the other ASEAN countries... in everything, being all from hubs to education and down to English proficiency....
What a day that will be!

Not a Australian, but we see this happening all over Europe too....
But i dont understand why they stop them....
Let them go... Invalidate their passport... and tell them never to come back....
Then there is less for the government to feed... because they are usually all on government benefits.
It makes me so angry that my tax money is going to these lazy so and so's

"Police and the governor of Pathumthani arrived to inspect."

The article has some issues that need to be answered.
High school children are typically age 12+
The "effeminate" remark bears scrutiny as it smacks of a witch hunt.
If the case is proven, the teacher should be jailed
It would also be too much of a coincidence for the boys to be between the ages of 8-11 and the travel dates to be from March 8th through the 11th.
First of all i would say IF he is guilty, lock him up and throw away the key!
BUT, i would have to join the skeptics and look at the conspiracy theory too.....
No child of 8 is in high school ! (could just be shabby journalism) but until more info i am skeptic and smell a witch hunt.
All of us that have spent some time in Asia, know that there is always more to the story than it seems. or it is a totally different smokescreen all together.......
until then

She forgot to mention that her "honest services" cost the taxpayers 600+ billion baht!!

Being a non-American, the first thing i miss the most and the first thing i order when i arrive in Paris would be a decent cup of coffee......
Am i strange? or?
been here 8 years now and thought first it could be a business opportunity, but it seems like my fellow ex-pats don't want hot coffee due to the heat.
i am a coffee connoisseur, and even with Starbucks being the closest you come to coffee it does not really come close to the real Cafe express....
yes, i am probably strange!
Monsieur,
After reading your post, I decided to try a coffee in France, on my next visit to Europe (in 2 weeks).
I have not ordered a coffee in France for about 30 years, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, and all that.
But maybe now the French have mastered the art of coffee making.
I might even try French wine - are they up to New World standards yet?
Hi mate
I would recommend to hold off on the French wine!
I have spent 5 years in France, but usually the French table wine is like watered down Ribena. i much prefer a good Rijoa or a Navarra, (i do like the oaky taste)
coffee on the other hand..... if you order a cafe express, you should get a espresso cup half full of creamy top, thick coffee.
after putting a spoon of brown sugar in it the plastic spoon should fall slowly to the side of the cup..... :-)
Ah, heaven.... Aribica

can already see the signs... many condo's are only 50% sold so we already can see the bad times coming....
especially in Jomtien, sitting on my balcony i can see 7-8 new building sites. seeing my condo unit only have 50% empty units...
OP, yes it is a sign of difficult times....

I use this highway about three or four times a week and have seen numerous motorbikes on this highway including one coming against the traffic next to the middle dividing wall.
So obviously no notice has been taken of the "no motorbike" sign at the Sukhumvit entrance to the highway.
was just about to say....
(removed)
there is a no motorbike sign there for a reason stupid....

Well at least they didn't use a hoe and rape him so they ought to get bail.
500 Baht, say sorry, and promise to not do it again....
Shocking enough they will get off...
If they are 17.5 they are minors and then only a slap on the wrist will be done....

It says happiness to the people , not happiness to the thieving rude Phuket beach vendors
-
....I hope they check to see that it was not something...or someone else that killed him before the crash...
...7:20 am is not so early to justify 'falling asleep'....nor are the travel distances....
...and as for the 'Fortuner'....it seems to have no frame integrity......it looks cut in half.....
.....and....were there even air bags deployed....????
Start to question cars made in Thailand.....
Looking at this mangled pile of junk...
Look like no frame at all on this car... After all that was a SUV and is supposedly the best of the best from Toyota in Thailand.....
for sure there is a lot more to this story than a simple accident
-
a "sorry" 500 baht fine and promise to not do it again... then the guys go home....
This is nothing but a publicity stunt.... BIB in Phuket are tired of the Army on their back... trying to show that they have cleaned up a lot....

Bangkok governor admits mistakes in flood management
in Thailand News
Posted
It is amazing..... but then again TIT
The last 6 dry months the People of Bangkok have used the drains as their personal garbage dump. you see all the street vendors are using that "hole in the ground, where garbage goes away"
If the Governor had been a little clever.... i know... pun intended
there has been like two major warnings about this.... in Europe they would have started to check out drainage, using fire brigade, pump water into system to see it working and not being blocked....
But here...
Lets pray to Buddha and hope there will not be any rain this year.
