And yet I’m hearing and experiencing something totally different. In my building in Bangkok 4 units sold in the last month at close to reasonable asking prices. Lower than 2 years ago but very acceptable. Here in Hua Hin I’ve been half heartedly trying to sell for the past 3 years. The market has been depressed for a while due to over supply. I’ve been living here the last 3 months and it’s it’s made me take a different view. With foreign tourists non existent it’s a much nicer place to be and I’m likely not going to sell. Having said that I’ve had 2 viewings this week. Bangkok people are buying like crazy the last 2-3 months. where I definitely agree with you is on the rental,side. That market has been decimated. In difficult times the better properties will always have some strength.

That kind of behaviour gets you known as a troublemaker. It might not be an issue immediately but there’ll be a time when you need help from the jurisdictions office and it’ll be remembered. IMO it’s always best to follow the condo rules, even if they’re not in English.

No condo I’ve ever owned has allowed BBQ unless it’s been requested beforehand and in the gardens away from residents, and it has to be the BBQ provided (at small cost) by the condo.. some condos without enough outside space just don’t allow. A BBQ on a balcony..... recipe for disaster.

The same can be said about almost every country. When the U.K. was having record deaths last year the government changed how they counted deaths and suddenly 20k+ were knocked off the numbers.

When someone in his situation is seeing things it’s time to get nervous. Such a visionary he is, but sadly nobody else sees what he does.
