This country has (foreigner) entry fees in some cases higher than those in western countries. I don’t expect anything of you. Those old wives tales have an updated version spouted by the antivax conspiracy peddlers many of whom populate this forum. As for the UK, yeah Covid is largely ignored now, but that doesn’t mean it’s gone away. On the contrary a few of my family members have had it again and a teacher friend in Sheffield is on her 4th time now. All fully vaccinated and although some have been quite sick probably not as severely as they might have been. Over here there are still far more cases than we’re ever told about if my Thai friends are correct. From my observations almost all Thais in the places I go still wear masks but almost none of the tourists do, Asian or otherwise. Personally the only time I don’t wear a mask is outdoors when it’s a quiet street or park. I just don’t have an issue with a bit of cloth, never have.
