  1. What do you expect from uneducated people.

I had some paper in Thai which I couldn't read. I went to the market and start asking people if they could read what does it write on the paper. Everybody turned of or just smiled without looking at the paper maybe if they could understand something UNTIL NUMBER 10 WHO COULD READ AND WRITE THAI LANGUAGE.

So that means only 10 % can read and write in this country. Some countries in Africa only 1 or 2 % can read and write but these countries do not have big population, maybe some million or so ,,,,,, than I check a big country like India with a population of 1000 million people, I get surprised when I saw that ONLY 4 % CAN READ AND WRITE.......

I am not clever at all, and absolutely not rich. All my life I survived with some limited money, worked nights and studied day time. Sometimes I had food to eat sometimes I had only bread to eat. BUT I ALWAYS LEARNED SOMETHING ALL THE TIME. NOW I CAN SPEAK AT LEAST SPEAK 7 LANGUAGES AND UNDERSTAND SOME OTHERS.

Because I couldn't just work eat and sleep.

I don't know what these people are thinking, if they ever think.

I have learned not only the history of Europe but the hole world back to 5000 years in the school. Why ? Because I have a brain and I want to use it.

Here they even don't believe in God. So God can not help them either.

Why I stay here ? I tell you.

The climate is warm , you don't have expenses with shoes, socks , warm clothes, gloves etc. and the food is cheap, and I am poor . I don't have any other choice but I sit here and learn every day many things.

    Have a nice day

    Cheers

  2. I have very bad experience from Bangkok Phuket Hospital. They are only there to earn money. Doctor consultation is 1250 baht , they said, but after the consultation I had to pay 4000 baht for it and no explanation why did it cost so much.

The last 5 years I HAVE NEVER AND NEVER MET ANY GOOD DOCTOR IN THIS COUNTRY INCLUSIVE BANGKOK.

AND I HAVE NEVER MET ANY THAI DOCTOR IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD .

    NOBODY GIVES THEM A JOB.

AND NO OTHER DOCTOR COME TO THAILAND AND WORK ,,,, BECAUSE THE SALARIES ARE SO LOW.

So I go to Kuala Lumpur to see a doctor in a private hospital .

Very good doctors and the price is 1/3 of the price of Bangkok Phuket Hospital. You pay 10000 baht instead of 30000 baht.

This is my experience and every time I go to Kuala Lumpur I get help immediately.

I even did health control which was very cheap.

I take a bus or train to Kuala Lumpur. It's cheap , Hat Yai - Kuala bus is 450 baht but flight 1200 baht if you are not in a hurry. Kuala airport to town bus is 200 baht. Taxi from bus or train station to hospital about 150 baht. You can sleep in the train, from Hat Yai is 600 baht one way, from Bangkok I don't know.

    Good Luck To You

  3. Bloodnut, Hello Again,

    Thank you very much.

It worked very well , Ian send me the tablets very quickly, I get them after 2 days after I paid with pay pal.

I shouldn't have written like that about the things happened to me some years ago. There is every kind of people live everywhere in the world, you can not generalize the people. I am very sorry that I have written like that. Very very sorry.

But the tablets doesn't work for me.

After the first tablet I felt so sick , I get unusual sick, now I still feel sick after 24 hours, and I haven't eaten anything during this time. I hope the sickness disappear tomorrow so I can eat something.

I am never allergic to anything and have no medication at all. I am full frisk and have no problems with anything. I only get some kidney stones sometimes, that's all. Last time I was sick , I don't remember , maybe 30 years ago, than I was very sad and drunk after 2 bottles of whisky, woke up at a hospital.

I hope I can send rest of the tablets back to Ian. BUT I shall try a tablet one more time to be sure that pushin makes me sick. I'll see.

    Thanks a lot

    Take Care

    Cheers

  4. Hi BLOODNUT,

I want to try this Pushin tablet.

How good do you know this Australian guy Ian ?

I have to pay before he send the tablets to me. Can I trust him ?

When I stayed at Phuket some years ago, had bad experience, Australian guys borrowed money from me but I never get it back.

How safe is it to send money online to buy pushin ?

I just want to know your experience as a Thai Visa friend .

    Thanks a lot.

    Cheers

  5. Thanks Joe,

I shall do it. I shall take it of that paper out of my passport. But if they tell me I have to pay for overstay, than I will show the paper. I hope it's valid even it's out of my passport.

Now I look at this 90 day report slip again in my passport. There it doesn't write my name or any name of immigration or anything. That paper can belong to anybody. What does it write on that paper,,,,, only,,,,, if you stay over that day, you have to pay 500 THB fine a day punishment or maximum 5000 THB. And this is the paper for every alien has to notify their residence address every 90 day. But they INSISTED at the immigration , even I have got 90 day report, if I go abroad I have to apply to immigration every time I come back to Thailand, maybe every week. Do you think they want something extra.

We will see what happens next week.

    Cheers

  6. The Immigration officer in Nakhonsithammarat tells me this.

4 weeks ago I took a bus from Hatyai to Kuala Lumpur. Because there is a very good and cheap private hospital in KL. They have THE BEST DOCTORS and everybody speak English. But there are problems with taxi same as Bangkok.

The bus passes YALA border Immigration. There nothing happened 4 weeks ago but when I pass again 2 weeks ago they took all the lose papers of my passport. When I asked why do they do that , they told me I will get it back when I turned back. But I didn't get it back and in the Yala office they told me , now you have to go to your local immigration and get another 90 day paper to your passport, it doesn't cost anything but you have to go there " 85 km. far away from there I stay " otherwise you have to pay for overstay.

I did go to immigration in Nakhon 3 days ago, he just put a paper in my passport , 90 day paper , and told me that after my Europa trip , I am going to lose this paper at the immigration . After I come back within a week ((( ok. 2 weeks,,,, ok. 3 weeks for you ))) I have to come back to immigration for another 90 day paper, because I must have that kind of paper in my passport all the time even if I HAVE A YEAR VISA UNTIL 12th of February 2015.....When I asked again. Yes , everytime time you come back to Thailand, you have to come to immigration to get a 90 day permit. You must have it in your passport before you go abroad again. Otherwise you pay for overstay at the immigration when you leave Thailand.

If I go to hospital in Malaysia and turn back to Thailand, before I go to hospital again I have to go to Immigration, otherwise I have to pay for overstay.

Now I have 90 day paper until December, I see what happens when I turn back from Europa .

    I let you know.

    I am happy anyway.

    Cheers

  7. I am going to Europa again tomorrow for a week. I have a yearly O- Retirement visa. I ' ll see what happens when I come back.

Immigration tells me that the rules and the Thai law changed 2 weeks ago. What can I say ? Immigration is the boss. If they get angry with me , they can say " I do not give you any more visa, you have to leave the country " . I 'll be sad , my tgf will be sad.

I think every immigration office has different rules. Like the every land office has different rules. On Phuket you can go to a land office and borrow money from a Farang on a land paper, but when I try this in Thammarat , they say no, we don't do it , it's too much job to do it and there is not many farang here so it's not necessary to learn for us how to do it.. It's TOO MUCH JOB FOR US TO DO IT.

They are working there and Thai Law says that you can do it. I have even an answer from a lawyer from Bangkok. The lawyer writes, that's the law BUT EVERY LAND OFFICE DECIDES SEPARATELY........ That's the most strange think I've heard in my life. Different laws in the same country.

I have to accept that. I have no choice . What can I do ?

    Cheers and be happy.

  8. Hi,

I start this topic because I wonder if I misunderstand the Thai Immigration who tells me every time I go abroad I get rid of the 90 days separate paper which is in my passport, and I have to go back to Immigration within 2 weeks after I return to Thailand to get a new 90 day extension with the same old date.

I did go to Kuala Lumpur for a hospital visit for a day. When I left Thailand , they took all the loose papers of my passport, even address paper. So when I returned they just looked at my multiple re-entry visa and told me that I have to go back to Immigration again for 90 day extension OTHERWISE I HAVE TO PAY FOR OVERSTAY.

For example if you have a 90 day extension which is valid until 1 st of January. They take of that paper of your passport when you leave Thailand , and when you come back you have to go to Immigration again to get the same paper with the same date which was 1 st of January, even they still call it 90 days extension which can be 25 days only.

That happened to me and there is no misunderstanding. If I do not go there for a new (old) 90 day extension within a week , I have to pay for OVERSTAY.

They told me these are the new rules or new law.

Has this happened to anybody or different Immigrations are different rules ?

    I wonder.

    Thousands of thanks in advance.

    Cheers

  9. Hi,

I want some information from the Swedish Retired Persons about the retired salary.

There is a rule says that you lose your Garanti Pension , if you stay more than 6 months a year in Thailand.

I wonder how hard are they about that rule. Do they check my passport next time I go to Sweden and tell me that I lose my income retroactive, because I haven't been to Sweden for a long time and retired, but I still have an address in Sweden there I am written.

Do you have any experience about that ?

When you are old , it's very difficult to make that long trip to Sweden, but rules are rules. Life is easier to live here in Thailand, less clothes and no shoes and fresh air and fresh food and smiles.

Maybe I have to go to Sweden and come back many times every year to keep my salary 100 %. And I have to stand that long trip every time or can I do something else ?

The 92 years old south Swedish Lady had that problem 4 years, and she died at 96 year of age and all the problems disappeared immediately.

I am glad if I find out something more, for ex. How hard is the pass police at the airport when you arrive to Sweden.

Thanks in advance for any info.

    Yours Sincerely

  10. Hi,

I've been here in Thailand many years and have a young tgf, and I'm happy enough.

When you change your address, The Immigration give you a paper which calls RECEIPT OF NOTIFICATION. This paper you have to keep it in your passport.

Recently one of these days at the past, I noticed that this RECEIPT has an address which is an address of an ALIEN who is me. Haaaaa Ha Ha

Now I feel that I belong to another planet.

Is the development so high in the west, that's why we become Aliens here in Thailand ?

    Hi  Langsuan Man,

Have I missed something in my many departure out of Thailand ?

I have never seen a Customs station on departure, only upon arrival

Very Clever Answer. You are right, there are no customs at departures, But I was thinking, after check in , you pass the x-ray control with your hand baggage, there they can look at your hand baggage. I take everything with me because I don't have any suitcase and too old to carry and lift it.

I'll see , what they say, maybe I have to pay some tax in Stockholm, which is 25 % now.

    Thanks

  12. Thanks a lot for suggestions,  These hats I bought for 50 baht each, very cheap. That's why I bought many to give as presents to my friends for the next Christmas, because they are expensive to buy in Stockholm. They are hand made and very good to use in winter time, keeps warm , woolen hats, actually it is toque, biggin or ski hat. Probably they want me to pay 7 % tax, I hope I can take them with me to Stockholm. When I turn back I'll have in my suitcase 10 kg. dried mountain figs because I love to eat figs very much and I can not find them here. We call them fikon or ficus carica in Latin. I'll see if they want me to pay tax for it too. Rules, rules everywhere, I hate rules. We are not criminals or something.

I let you know what happened when I comeback.

    Cheers to everybody.

  13. Hi, I wonder what happens when you pass the customs at Suvarn. if you have things you have to declare. Do they take tax from you ? Can you take them with you, after you paid the fee ?

I want to take 10-15 hats with me, as presents for my friends. Do they stop me for that ?

I've even heard that , a tourist can not have belongings more than 10k THB worth when they leave Thailand. Is that true ? What happens if you have, when they stop you ? for ex. a laptop or an I-phone, which are valued more than 10k.

Do you have any experience, when you leave Thailand or when you arrive to Suvarn. ?  Do they check more people now, compare to before ?

I've heard that some salesman come to Thailand and buy some cheap silk ties and go back home and sell them at home with a big profit, at the same time have a free holiday in Thailand. The man told me he could put 500 ties in a suitcase. That's business.

But why do they have to limit the belongings for a retired tourist with a long stay visa.

Did they check your belongings when you leave Thailand at Suvarnabhumi or when you arrived to Suvarnabhumi recently ? I wish to hear ? Thanks a lot.

I'll write a new topic when I comeback to Thailand with my experience about the customs.

Preparing for the 2 weeks trip home.

    Cheers
