When is the earliest I can go for the next 5 year licence? i.e. during the month of February or need to wait till March?

When is the latest after March 4th that I can still renew the licences? i.e one or 6 month after the expiration?

Also what do I need to bring this time besids the 2 licenses. Passport and what else?

Most people, even with travel insurance would have no coverage under the martial law, as that is specified in the exclusions ....

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE INSURANCE (GENERAL EXCLUSIONS)

Treatment for sickness or injury directly or indirectly caused if you actively engage in, participate in or choose to go to a region where there is: a war, invasion, acts of a foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war has been declared or not), civil war, terrorist acts, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, civil commotion, military or usurped power, martial law, riots or the acts of any lawfully constituted authority, or army, naval or air service operations (whether war has been declared or not),

    UPDATE

Objects Spotted In Sea In Missing Plane Search

An Australian plane has spotted objects in the sea during the hunt for the missing AirAsia flight QZ8501, officials have said.

Indonesian officials said the search team had made the discovery while searching for the jet which stopped communicating with air traffic control over the Java Sea in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Earlier, the chief of Indonesia's search effort said that the missing AirAsia passenger plane "is likely at the bottom of the sea".

Bambang Soelistyo added that an initial investigation into the disappearance had revealed that the "estimated crash position is in the sea".

More than a dozen ships have been sent to the area to try to find the aircraft.

Australia, Singapore and Malaysia have deployed planes to assist in the Indonesian-led search.

The UK, France and the US have offered technology to assist in the search for debris, much of which may not be on the surface.

Search teams are currently scouring an area where the sea is 40-50 metres (130-160 feet) deep, Mr Soelistyo told journalists.

Distraught relatives spent the night in the Indonesian city of Surabaya hoping for news of loved ones.

One, who called herself Intan, called on Indonesia to ask for help from other countries, rather than try to carry out the search alone.

She said: "My hope is Indonesia seeks as much help as possible from other countries. Don't claim 'We have sophisticated technology', just ask other countries because they are better equipped.

"My prayer is I really, really hope that there will be news about the people on board. Whatever it is, what is important is we know where they are now."

Air traffic controllers lost contact with the twin-engine aircraft around an hour after it left Surabaya's Juanda international airport at about 5.35am on Sunday local time (10.35pm on Saturday, UK Time).

The flight had been on its way to Singapore.

One Briton was among the 162 on board, with the rest from Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and France.

Unbelievable in this Day and Age , They cannot find a Jetliner of this size, it Boggles The Mind...

The ocean is vast...not like your garden variety backyard swimming pool.

200 x 800 km at an ave depth of 150ft is hardly a vast ocean.

  7. In some other (unnamed) expat friendly countries the retired foreigner pays the retirement discounted price. All prices are the same for foreigners and locals alike. BY LAW. Blatant discrimination in Thailand and some other SE Asia countries against older foreigners is a big stain on all the local people and the whole country that will be talked about for a long time. It benefits a few greedy locals but costs the whole country much more. Asian greed and stupidity has no boundaries. That is why I tip zip and never recommend Thailand to anyone. Some will call this Thai bashing but is the truth and nothing but the truth. bah.gif

This train stops and accelerates quickly before people (mainly tourists) have been able to find a seat. The safety of this part Kanchanaburi railroad and maintenance of wooden bridges is awful. The article mentions only the Christian names of the victim, not the family name. Again a total unnecessary horrible accident in a country where safety standards are not met. Railway of Thailand should be ashamed of themselves. And TAT keeps shouting their positive forecasts.

i dont think your comment is fair ''yet'',yes standards here are poor, but in some cases the tourist is to blame...unless you know some facts we are not aware of..cheers

Don't blame the tourists when this happens time and again. In a civilized country the rail road company would be held responsible and this "avoidable" accident would be prevented. Is there not even a semblance of decency here?

  9. What is it with the 2 for 1? You ask for one Leo they put 90B on the bill. You get the second Leo free. Get a third and they add 90B. I only want to drink 3 so they charge for 4. I say, no way. The cashier comes over and said OK you pay 150B. I say OK. Now I paid 50 for each beer.

I don't like their BS. 3 has me driving OK. 4 is too many. So I have 2 and leave. Stupid is as stupid does.

He just had trouble remembering where he hid the coin. This was his way of getting help searching for it,coffee1.gif

The first time I arrived in bkk I saw a lot of older guys, by which I mean 70+, with quite young women, around the early 20s mark, I thought it was quite disgusting at the time but since I've gotten older(im 43), and realised life is very short my view has completely changed, I take my hat off to the old boys for sharing the company of a young woman, obviously no love involved but if it suits both party's 2 fingers up to the world, your along time dead

You say obviously no love involved. Could you please explain what love means and do it in 500.000 words or less. Thank you. clap2.gif I will enjoy living well but not sit around waiting for your assignment to be completed.coffee1.gif

Well, at least the Burmese have lawyers. That's a big step up from what they had at the 'safe house' : No one.

I wish them as fair a trial as possible, but it's a tough row to hoe, going up against the full arm-locking force of officialdom - all trying their darndest to bust 'em, while concurrently doing all they can to continue to shield those who should be prime suspects.

No way they get a fair trial. Thailand will have a big black mark against it after the trial nwith the worlds media watching.
