  1. I don't understand why ordinary Thai people put up with this.

He, and the real powerbrokers, stole the country from the people under a pretext and refuse to give it back.

This had nothing to do with saving Thailand

    It was a pre-planned coup.

For personal control and of course financial gain.

A coup against an elected government is treason isn't it?

This'll give Yingluck something to discuss with the EU ( if they let her go)

But even if they don't the EU know what this guy is all about.

  2. Oh god......oh god........oh god...........!!!!!!

And his qualifications and experience for trying to take the game out of the Middle Ages here are what exactly?

Thai football is already 4th rate. Looks like the future promises struggling wins against the teletubbies.

Do the powers that be ever consider bringing in a foreigner who actually knows what they're doing to take this on? Not that I think any of them worth a salt would take it on.

Oh no, mustn't use foreigners. Thai's do things better.

In case it have missed their attention, clubs in Thailand RELY on foreign players to make it even resemble a game of football. And 90% of them are only here because they're not good enough to play in Europe or their home countries.

It's a bit like the English teaching thing. Get rid of the foreigners. Use Thai people who can't speak English to teach English. That will raise the standards.

Let's get Thai people who don't know football to run football. That raise the standards.

Thai football in reality, has been in existence for 10 years and they think they know it all.

They know nothing of how football works. If they did you wouldn't have such a shambles.

They haven't even worked out you've actually got to kick it between the white sticks at each end yet ....yes, have you noticed those.....judging by some of the 'efforts' on goal I have seen.

And the 'coaches' , and I use that term very lightly.

No structure, no ambition, no idea.

Clubs owned by politicians, the police, the army, a couple of hi-so's. Yep REAL experience of running a football club.

But I am sure they will consider themselves a threat in world football after overcoming Chinese Taipei, just.

Still the reputation of the Thai police for their honesty will fit in well with FIFA.

    Oh god........oh god......oh god!

  3. Wouldn't, I'm sure, be the first time that officials have shown 'favouritism' to a particular team, obviously for some form of favour in return so this accusation doesn't surprise me.

I retired here from a football environment in England and Holland.

I have been to a lot of matches in the last 2 years and three things are very evident.

1- that in general, the people who run the clubs couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

2- that some of the refereeing decisions are so bad it is not possible they were mistakes, as an example a penalty awarded to Port FC against Chonburi recently and a Port player allowed to elbow a Chonburi player in the face right in front of the ref who did nothing. That can only mean one thing. Favouritism is the polite word. Bribery might be more accurate.

3- the level of dishonesty is staggering. Nakhon Ratchasima FC allowing 34,000 into a stadium that holds 22,000 to make money and set a dubious attendance record, and then the GM justifying it. He should be banned from football for life for doing that, how is he still there? Has he never read of the deaths at football stadiums as a result of overcrowding?

I'd like to see the public insurance liability insurance. ( if they have one)

So I sympathise with Satun without condoning the violence.

But then we shouldn't be surprised.

This country is a 4th rate footballing nation ( being generous) but with world class corruption and bribery everywhere.

  4. Now this is an interesting political development.

This is a personal snub to the old general, and the EU saying "we don't believe you"

Having been fed junta controlled media reporting, pre-arranged popularity survey results and the rest they want to hear another side.

I don't suppose they particularly trust Yingluckl either but it is a way of telling him we don't believe a word and we are opening dialogue with an alternative.

Can you imagine what is happening in the halls of the unelected mighty?

Having thrown his own toys out of the pram so many times they are all in pieces he's probably throwing other peoples toys.

Make no mistake, this is a personal snub and a wake up call for him.

    It's his own fault

It is clear he has no intention of returning some form of democracy to this country and is going to be here as long as he can get away with it.

He has not delivered an election, freedom of speech or rid the country of corruption. They are the big issues not clearing up a few illegal beach workers.

He may think he lives in a protected bubble but he doesn't.

And the 'real' powerbrokers behind all this. What are they thinking?

    Very clever diplomacy from Europe.

He's a long way out of his depth trying to deal with those people.

I wonder if they will let her go.

If they don't then he will prove to the EU what they probably already know anyway.

  5. Oh dear the rock 'n' roll save the world circus rolls into town.

I must admit I quite like Geldoff. I was fortunate to be at Live Aid. It was outstanding and did I suppose raise awareness and achieve some things, not nearly enough of course, but something did come out if it.

I suppose it's a good opportunity for some good PR for the local cronies, then they all go home and everything is forgotten.

Thank god we've been spared that moron Bono. What a f*****g turd.him and his crap band on the 'aren't we wonderful trip'.

Bono..Sting...get a last name will you. Pretentious moi?

  6. You grinning lying bastard.

    Blood on your hands.

    You knew all the time.

Sucking up to the moron from Texas who still thinks he's in the Alamo.

Prosecute him and send him to jail.

Middle East peace envoy my arse!

    And the Bush brigade?

George W says.." The world is a dangerous place".... Yes thanks to you you moron.

What was it Rumsfeld said..."oh Iraq, terrible weapons, terrible weapons"

How did you know Donald.....did you look at the receipts from when you sold them to them a few years before?

And now the Yanks might vote in another cowboy Jeb?

Fluent in 2 languages I am told.( one of which is probably his own)

Well that's two more than George W.

Can just see them can't you....we need to start a war lads...get some kudos ( and some oil)

Who can we have a go at that can't fight back. That's much safer.

Don't see the yanks taking on China or North Korea do we....oh no let's go after some people that are going to throw rocks at us. Or maybe a few more My Lai's....yep let's murder some rice farmers and their families...that'll show 'em!

    Politicians.......all the bloody same.

And we have the nerve to say that some others are a threat to world peace.

Some are but let's look in the mirror first.

  7. Yep......."another one bites the dust"

    What a cretin.

Convicted of fraud and wants us to trust him?

Leopard and spots come to mind.

Oh and he's "responsible" for Thailand winning 'everything' in South East Asia?

Well when the opposition are little more than English pub teams, if that, that ain't hard.

Anyone who knows the ball is round could've done the same.

If he is 'responsible' for the quality of Thai football he should have been sacked years ago.

The only reason I watch it is so I can find the funniest one, ( and there's quite a selection to choose from) and send it back to Europe so they can have a good laugh.

    And they do.

Clubs owned by politicians, army and police personnel and a few 'hi-so's' who don't actually know the ball is round and it's supposed to go through those white stick things at each end.

'Coaches' and I use that term lightly, and players who can't get clubs where real football is played because they aren't good enough and get paid a fortune.

Oh but I forgot ...sorry...Thai's know best.

Well Thailand the Germans and the rest are NOT quaking in their boots.

  8. What a ridiculous question.

I note from the survey that 10 thus far think they should.

    The RTP are on here!

So let's have another survey.just for them....

Who trusts the RTP to police the country diligently without bribery and corruption?

    Let's start in Kho Tao.

Oh one another thing,....as you actually haven't found the bombers yet can the Thai people have there money back.

There are thousands of children going to bed at night hungry.

    Thank you for your concern!

  9. I don't know what all the fuss is about.

Thailand isn't a Buddhist country at all.

Oh it says it is but it doesn't take long to realise it's all an act.

One of the first things I read that The Lord Buddha said was "everything is not self"

    In Thailand 'everything' is self.

Greed, corruption, violence etc., are not part of his teachings.

    Buddhist country?

    Yeah right!

    Course it is.

  10. "Under Thai law"?

What the law of give me enough cash and you can do what you like?

Sorry, mr ex-FIFA official, you are perfectly aware that when your country signed up to FIFA you live by their jurisdiction irrespective of what country you live in, in the case of misconduct as can be seen by the multiple suspensions and arrests already issued.

Asking the English FA for 'favours' to vote for them was not a good idea !

Thai law, the law of the baht, is not going to save you.

    Better start running.

  11. He keeps talking about democracy.

I don't think he understands the meaning

Democracy quite simply is a political system where the supreme power lies with the citizens who can elect people to represent them.that body of people make decisions binding on the whole.

So any situation where the army can just march in and take control when they don't like something is not a democracy.

They are 'requested' by .....'elected' people to assist in the occurrence of civil unrest and that is all.

But they do not take control.

If an army deposes an elected body of people in a democratic society that is called a coup and is treason.

So Thailand is not a democracy and probably never has been and won't be until the influence of the army is written out of any constitution and practice.

  12. So let's review some of the ways Thai's can voice their opinion.

    - by public criticism. Then get taken away for 'attitude adjustment'

    - through the press. Negative comments are censored

    - through public meetings. Banned

    - an election. Probably won't be forthcoming.

How then can they voice an opinion.

But it's ok his opinion polls tell him the people love him so that's alright then

  13. Well if he is so concerned about poverty he can start in his own country.

What was he going to do .....spend billions on Chinese submarines while some of his people can't feed themselves or their families.

What did he allow....the police to reward themselves thousands for doing what they are paid to do in finding (they say) the Bangkok bombers, while children go to bed hungry.

    What a hypocrite!

He's got a few bob acquired from his army salary hasn't he?

Perhaps he would like to make the first donation
