You could look at this brand, they come in 3 different sizes and I have had mine for 4 years with no issues, yes its a little bit of coin, but comfortable as all get out.  I sit in it at my desk working for about 6 to 8 hours every day.

    Herman Miller Aeron Ergonomic Chair

They sell them here in Thailand.

They also start at over 25,000 baht on their website

  2. Sova is open. As for bars open? I don't know the answer. Some of the bars that remain really never closed as the back door was used to get in. What is legally open now? A regular bar goer will have to answer. But the few bars that are still on the strip are just that a few

  3. I have lived in Ban Chang for 15 years. Many friends longer. Farangs do not really talk about nightlife in Rayong City. There are plenty of Thai nite spots. The Thais certainly know where they are and which is the best places. I have never heard anyone say anything about a place to go in Rayong for this or that. But I guarantee you they are there. Rayong is not a westerner hangout area

  4. The Thais use a concrete box similar to the photo but the cover is not a grate just a concrete cover with slots in it. A grate type cover would need to be made to fit. I am sure others will be along to give a more precise answer.

You compared 1883 narration to Ken Burns' The Civil War. One has a bad fake accent the other does not so not a fair comparison. My point is a bad accent can be irritating. I still watched 1883 but will not miss the bad accent in season 2.

From what I have read there may be a season 2 but? See this website for info: https://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-and-culture/a39122946/1883-season-2/

Tops is in a Robinson Mall in Sakon Nakhon, so it happens.

There are Tops in 3 malls that I know of. Possible there is some link between these malls and Tops. I know the Central  Mall in Rayong has a nice Tops store and one in the mall in Silom Bangkok. So, my uneducated guess is that Tops has a deal with these mall developers or some business relationship. Whatever the case the new mall in Ban Chang will have a Tops and good for all of us as now we have a decent store in our area. Be nice if Foodland would put in a store

    As it was 2009.

Only 3 or 4 bars left now it seems.

IMHO the "Bar Strip" is effectively gone and being replaced with Thai businesses. Sure there are a few bars remaining but slowly they are dying. The oil and gas folks are all gone for the most part and the tourist golfers are gone and Covid killed the rest of the business.

I doubt it, Tesco is still more convenient for many. Yes, Tops has more foreigner type products but for general food I'll still be going to Makro Sattahip.

My take on Tops is it is a upscale market. Not meant for the mass market. Where the Lotus's chain of large to small stores fits the general Thai clientele. When is the last time you have seen a Tops  out in the local area of Thai cities and towns?

Bahn Chang is an area and there is speculation about a new store called 'Robinsons' being built in Bahn Chang.

Ban Chang is a district of Rayong. It is a city also of same name. Ban Chang. The last western district of Rayong just before Chonburi . Utapao Airport is located in this district.

A new, smaller scale shopping mall is almost ready to open. It is called "Robinson Lifestyle". It will have a Tops and a few of the other chain stores. It will not be a huge mall.

  10. With the motorway so easy now going to Pattaya either north end or south end is a piece of cake. Bangkok Pattaya hospital is my choice as Rayong do not speak so much English. The last few years a ton of road construction going on and travel to and from can be a bit challenging but when this is all done getting around will really be good.  Big Central malls in both Rayong and Pattaya your choice. As said a new tops will open very soon as part of a Robinsons mall. Dental care is good and many offices just need to try one.

Immigration as said is 10 minutes away and really good service and with Covid it's never crowded. 90 day reports in/out less than 10 minutes usually . I have been here in Phala Beach close to water but easy to get to town if needed and 10 minutes to the entrance to motorway to go north. 30 minute trip to Pattaya and Bangkok hospital

    Not the same without her.

I binged the complete season last night. Yes, not the same without Lisa and the entire 6 episodes was not too enjoyable for me. The plot for me was not too  exciting and the turmoil of Jenn's family life and her metal battles was too much add in the boss and his divorce issues and the lesbian chick and the Muslims. The whole thing was too much for me.
