Any vaccine is better than no vaccine according to the doctors that specialize in contagious diseases. So if anyone knows where she can get Sinovac that would be appreciated.

My gf got her first vaccine a month ago at the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, but vaccinated at the Central Festival Mall on 6th floor. The first vaccine was Sinovac. Her second was Astra Zeneca and she received it at the same place two weeks later. She was not a registered patient at the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital though she had two outpatient appointments there in 2012.

What did they prescribe to help clear things up?

Psoriasis is basically a long-term affliction. Treatment for psoriasis of the scalp (and to a lesser extent forehead) is Topicorte 0.25% skin cream or ointment for an "attack", not to be used more than once or twice a week as Topicorte is a steroid. I was also told to wash my hair with Aphosyl shampoo which contains coal tar and alcohol 5%. Early on I could buy the shampoo at Boots, but in the last few years I can't buy it in Thailand because it contains alcohol!!!! I get mine from the UK, but I am sure any reasonable country would sell it (I can't see many abusing alcohol by drinking shampoo, can you?). Topicorte you can get in most pharmacies but get the larger bottle of 15 g as it is a lot cheaper than the smaller 5 g bottle. Good luck, it really worked wonders for me, and still does!

  3. I had a lady doctor at the Dermatology Department of the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital diagnose (correctly, as it turned out) psoriasis of the scalp some 8 years ago. Three so-called dermatologists at two other private hospitals in Pattaya all failed to diagnose it. It was money worth spending!

If you're high risk (over 60, etc.) and have a doctor that knows you at BPH contact her ASAP and ask to be sponsored for AZ jabs. They don't seem to have a stock in right now, but they apparently have an expected (limited) allotment that they expect before very long. So now they are directly contacting some known high risk patients and registering them. This is not the same thing at all as their Moderna program.

As far as when more widespread availability will happen here. I have no idea!

I got Astra Zeneca at BPH three days ago after responding to their recent survey.

You set me a challenge and I accepted it and told you how I would do it. I am not a wild guess kind of person and since the true data set on which I want to base my forecast is so small, one extra data point could make a big difference. So, here is my suggestion, I suppose I should call it a forecast, for tomorrow, Friday:

1776 new cases overnight from Today, Thursday, to Friday, 15th - 16th April.

In another message you suggest we should make a five day guess. Given everything I have said and given the techniques I have used to arrive at my single point forecast, I would look even more foolish if I posted them.

If I had more detailed information, that I tried and failed to find today, I would probably have submitted a five day forecast. I am not afraid of anything. I am not crying wolf. I am trying to do this in the way I usually make and share any forecasts I do make.

So, in good faith, 1776 new cases overnight.

    Over to you!

    Over and out!

Interesting and very tragic indeed. Poor people may rot in the halls of the hospital and whoever has been in Rattanakiri knows, how basic the infrastructure there is.
The driver should be locked up and the keys to his cell thrown away for good but maybe European values are in the wrong place in Indochina.

In what kind of world are we living today?

So sad. I've been coming to Thailand for 48 years, the last 15 living here permanently. Maybe I am just deluding myself, but I really don't think stuff like that was as common in 1973 as it is today.

Why is there a standoff , if the trees where felled in Thailand and still on Thai land then the Cambodians don't have a say in what happens just get the army + machines in there and drag the logs out .

logs have been stored near the Cambodian border, waiting to be hauled into Cambodia by illegal loggers.

Thai army has been pretty useless in warlike situations for ages. It appears its role these days is limited to military coups

Supposedly it is possible for dogs to catch covid. And if they are constantly sniffing covid infected people it stands to reason they could become infected in doing their job. so, are these dogs regularly tested ? And is it possible to be infected with covid by a covid infected covid sniffer dog ?

I was wondering about this too. At least now I know why dogs keep sniffing each other! And I suppose they can detect any other virus there is, because they've been sniffing themselves for eons?
