  1. Have you tried Baan Twaey? Not sure of the spelling, but it's not really a tourist place. Buyers from around the world buy from there for their stores. All kinds of wood items from furniture to statues. Furniture manufacturer s are there also.

  2. I wanted. A newer apt bigger than the standard 40's in a well established part of town with grocery store, restaurants, good meeting places. I got a 60 sq apt with a big separate bedroom, brand new, walking distance to Nimmenhimen (?), walking distance to Maya, and on good days I walk to Central plaza, always available red trucks because I'm next to CMU. I have the entire back wall of my apt with windows with beautiful silk roman shades. Small kitchen, but everything I need. Walking distance to the new Harbor restuarants/pub/shops.There are 2 bedroom apts also. Part of the Punna properties. $400 mo

  3. They are pretty birds, but freak'n loud. It was sad to see a little chain around their little legs with just 1/4" movement. I went back and asked him if he'd sell them to me...Nope. Hate to see any animal chained up.

  5. Now this image speaks to me. It says, "No smoking" and "Buckle your Seatbelt". Now that is just my opinion. Others may find something more esoteric.

  6. I am at this time redecorating my apartment in grey and darker grey accent walls. I prefer abstact. The art work here now is very colorful abstract so I would love this photo for a toning down of the color. The secondary color is med/light brown. The senario I agree with be the black and white contrast. Once done would you considered selling? I know a man with a 10' copier.and I'd like to check on the cost to blow it up to fit an accent wall. Will you post the final product and email me?

  7. I have found very very few actual US products. You may buy a US-namef product, but if was manufactured in Thailand (if there is any Thai writing on it) it will NOT taste the same. Colgate toothpaste was the worst. Still looking for chocolate. I live in Chiang Mai and I've been here a month. Any help would be appreciated. Honey Mustard dressing?

  8. Yes, there is a country with presidential restriction of 2 terms. The US, and if we thought we could get it passed we'd have limited all political terms. The longer they are in, the more they become corrupted. They learn how to play the system. Yes, voting them out seems like an easy solution, but once they have money from those big buck backers and there hand in the pot it's hard to get them out.

  9. This is one of the last cities in thailand that teach and adhere to most strongly...Respect. watch the children?they are far from our screaming, rude, undisciplined kids. Did you know that there is no bullying in or out of school? There is no crime in CM. Petty stuff against foreigners. Pick pockets. Do you understand why they have this calm smiling attitude? RESPECT.i don't know where you are all from, but the Americans head the list of, loud and obnoxious, and then there are the Chinese. Especially last year.Your in their country. You are not here to dole out criticisms. Why did you come. To enjoy a great experience. To see their heritage. They are very modest and spoken people. YOUR IN THEIR COUNTRY. Respect them by honoring their ways. Don't embarrass the rest of us. We live here. They are raising there families like my parents and my grand parents before them. With respect.
