  1. The quality of posts here just gets better and better, one xenophobe, a pointless reference to Yingluck, and an attempted link to the Rice Subsidy scheme.

All over the misguided comments of a military "spokesmen" who is totally unaware of the irony of the situation that finds him speaking on behalf of an organisation that cost Thailand $5.7 Billion US this year..........................coffee1.gif

don't agree as i am neutral, but admire your fortitude keep up the posts

  2. Every year we also get reports of Muslims desecrating remembrance memorials also.

Every year? To quote you; please provide a link to back up this claim.

Meanwhile: Vandal admits painting 'Islam' on war memorial days after murder of Lee Rigby

"Andrew Patterson, 31, has admitted causing more than £50,000 of damage during a vandalism spree last year."

A lone vandal, acting on his own. Not a Muslim, not part of any campaign by anyone!

War memorial on Stone Recreation Ground, Stone, vandalised with white graffiti

A mindless tag, not a Muslim slogan. Was the offender a Muslim? Possibly, possibly not; but this obviously was not motivated by religion; these idiots, of all races and religious backgrounds, spray their tags everywhere.

As I have already pointed out, you will not find official reports detailing no-go areas. It would be an admission of catastrophic failure by the UK Government and its Police force. Plenty of people have highlighted these no-go areas, they exist, whether you choose to believe it or not.

The very fact, that as you point out, there have been numerous news reports of some being arrested who have tried setting up no go areas and imposing Sharia Law, tells you that it will have succeeded in other areas.

Please explain how the police successfully tackling attempts to impose no go areas etc. by arresting and bringing to the courts those responsible and the courts jailing those offenders is proof that the authorities are afraid to tackle no go areas.

Please enlighten me as to what my prejudices are ? If you want to accuse me of telling the truth, go right ahead, guilty as accused.

Your prejudices are there for all to see.

The day you tell the truth, I will acknowledge it.

From previous experience there is no PC reply acceptable to this post.Hush your mouth.

  3. I agree , hope they get the proverbial kick up the arse and somebody teaches them some respect.

I was thinking more along the lines of something that they would understand. Paraded through the town in boiler suits and a meeting with a rather sharp sword.

Jock mutton pie you are too lenient, these animals deserve the ultimate.Darwins theory failed, not exclusive to this instance, but many in the UK.It is no worse than it was 30 years ago.History has a habit of repeating itself.

  4. US$300,000 an hour: The cost of fighting ISIS

What's the problem? It's only paper with a value backed by a government promise...print some more.

Most cases, not even paper. Just digits sent on loan electronically to a bank at close to 0% interest. The bank then loans the money back to the U.S. gov't at between 3% -10% interest. The US gov't then uses that loan money to buy arms and take Fallujah, Iraq and then leave. Then come back and take Fallujah, Iraq and then leave. Then, etc... Tax payers repay the loan. Polititians and "too big to fail" industry leaders get rich. Those Nigerian scammers are such amateurs compared to governments.

Have a look at youtube and you will see that the uk is still paying back bonds from 200 years ago.Ignorance is Bliss. No critique of your post intended.

  5. The Thai visa SAS and special forces contingent must be over there, taking a break from their English teaching and helping keep prices low for the U.S. taxpayer!

    War drives economies.

Build more weapons, it helps the rich get richer and they in turn buy more Ferrari's.

Correct, that is why all my investments are in armament companies, can't beat a good war for making money.Look at good old Henry Ford and Standard Oil to name but two.

  6. I think what is being lost on he here is the probability of an air accident happening. This is why our nanny states pre-empts the situation. It's what is called foresight.Just as a matter of interest.I was a MOD PLOD based at a Fleet Air Arm Station. There was a law that nothing, including kites could be flown within a 2 mile radius of the airfield.I had the misfortune on many occasions to curtail famiy"s kite flying activeties.

  7. Well this is the country where someone picking a few wild mushrooms can be sentenced by to 30 years in prison for their trouble by a fully educated and probably still serving judge.

I agree with you about the mushroom pickers... but they weren't going to bring down an A-380 or disrupt traffic at a major airport doing that.

These lanterns aren't going to bring down a jet either. Any disruption is introduced on a voluntary basis by the airports.

The lanterns are 'crap' and a complete waste but they've been in use for many many years now. I remember seeing 1000's of them drifting across the sky on Phuket once and I haven't been to Phuket for what must be about 10 years. I don't remember airports being closed at any time since then apart from when the 'crazies' take over

Not disagreeing with you,but what brought down the Air France Concorde,a piece of metal from a previous flight.Punctured a tyre on take off.Now think about it,if you can get a puncture in your car from a nail or a screw,or any foreign object what are the consesquencies?

  8. Nobody yet knows, not even the Police, if it was a crime committed by a Muslim, or some other hate crime.

Of course, there will always be biased people who will jump to conclusions.

Never seen or read about such an assault in the UK by a borne an bred UK citizen with family who have fought in 2 world wars. This is a first.Your appoligies will be disregarded

  9. I wouldn't expect any statement from the British police on this matter. However if they also say nothing or very little at the inquest I think this will speak volumes in itself.

Diplomatic BS will rule this issue and those diplomats will trade the souls of their citizens for some little 'gain' which we will probably never find out about.

Usually, I would agree with your post 10000000% ( yea, that much), however, I think this case may be

too much of a hot potato for the usual diplocrap.

Not sure, but I hope so, Cameron has a lot riding on this if it is kept in the public eye.

Personally I don't think this will have any impact on how people vote for Boy David,I have never seen the murder of a British national impact an election. When the time comes for the great British Public to vote Hannah and David will never be given a second thought.Reality prevails,

  10. There are Direct daily flights to Gan from Male, you can visit the old bases etc.

The Maldivian then let it be used by the Russians as a Indian Ocean Sub base of sorts, now the Chinese are about to get there grubby fingers on it.

Sorry to hear that,I was there in 1967 when we surveyed Diego Garcia for the Americans.Best place in the world I have ever been, was there for 3 months fantastic. There was the wreck of a Catalina flying boat on the beach,I wonder if it is still there. An RAF Shackleton used to drop our mail and unfortunately it crashed killing all the crew. Thanks for the info.

Out of interest I looked up the safety record of the Shackletons.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_accidents_and_incidents_involving_the_Avro_Shackleton

Was really surprised at the number of fatal accidents it was involved in the 1950's and 60's. No idea how many were in service but, whatever the number, the incidents seem on the high side.

Thanks for the link, very interesting.I'm not sure if it was the one out of Singapore.I used to have a pic of it but lost it in the floods. As a matter of interest your not an ex dabtoe,I was a greenie.
