GPS coordinates now required.
At a guess, it's a hand out leaflet from an as yet unspecified Immigration office.

Yellow book
Yours is a different situation. You had PR and already named in a Blue house book, only requiring the pink ID card. The topic is about obtaining a Yellow house book and the procedures. I sent you a PM regarding this.

On the contrary. Years ago it was quick and easy with little bureaucracy. I translated my passport into Thai using Google Translate and that along with my passport was sufficient. I verbally gave them the name of my parents, which they translated. There were no requirements for 'certification' or 'legalisation' procedures then. Nowadays, you need to have copies of documents 'certified' by your Embassy (appointment only), then have those translated into Thai, before taking them to the MFA for legalisation (appointment only). For many, this involves a journey to Bangkok, and one/two nights stay depending on availability of appointments.

Has anyone heard of a new law ??
There are no current laws limiting visa exempt entries by air, as there is with land border crossings. Any new regulation as such would have been headlines in the Tabloids and would have to be posted in the Royal Gazette before coming into effect.

Come to Thailand one time a year and stay for 6 months
Under current regulations, there is no problem with this, it's just a lot of travelling and dealing with Immigration offices. Next year, consider the METV. 60 day unlimited entries during the 6-month validity of the visa. 2 border runs would permit you to stay for 6 months, without the hassle of 30 day extensions.

Wrong visa stamp on arrival
Already explained on page 1. As usual, you jump in late without reading previous posts, repeat, then criticise. It's not difficult to understand, but it would cause extensive inconvenience and unexpected extra expenses to go with option 2.

They require all the details on your passport certifying, translating, and legalising, not just your name. Certain Amphoes also request a birth certificate be certified, translated and legalised for your parents names that are also entered in the house book. Best to check full requirements at your local Amphoe first.

I got mine in 2014, but the procedure has changed a lot since, requiring Embassy certified copies, translations, then legalised by the MFA, to be acceptable to the Amphoe.

Least Money in Bank.
I believe he wants to keep funds to a minimum for some reason, he hasn't explained.

I'll stand corrected, it was some time ago he explained it. It may well be every 5 years, although I'm sure he stated 10.

If it's of zero relevance to you, why post on the subject, or just trolling for amusement.

Mmmm! I have a very good friend who's has had PR for 20+ years, currently working in Lao. Each year he confirms his address at the local Immigration office, although this may no longer be enforced, it's just habit for him, but every 10 years he has to replace his 'red' book. Different courses for different horses?

That just highlights your ignorance of the relevance of a Yellow book and ID card. Psst! You can't extend visas, either 🙄

Wrong visa stamp on arrival
Not entirely, you also suggested a 30-day extension, which would cause a lot of inconvenience and added expense to their plans.

Has anyone heard of a new law ??
Could you post the official Immigration regulation that states the limit of entries by air then? That is a commercial website, not an official Immigration website. It's often found to be incorrect and/or out of date with information. Dec 31st 2016. If that were true, you can obtain 30-day extensions for each 30 day VE entry, which would mean you can stay all year on VE entries. There is no written official regulations on the limit of VE entries by air, it's at the discretion of Immigration. As far as I'm aware, the official guidelines for entering VE haven't changed since 2014, except for the limited land border crossing by VE restricted to 2 per calendar year. Should have opened an account with 'Wise' and obtained their debit card.

Question about TM30
If he doesn't need to visit an Immigration office for any reason, then the consensus is, don't worry about filing a TM30.
-
Question about TM30
Where does he stay in-between his visits to the house?
-
Yellow book
Correct. Slightly off-topic, but the Thai definition of 'lifetime permanent residency' is IMO somewhat misleading, as if you leave the Country, you still require a re-entry permit to keep your 'permanent residency' status valid. Submit annual reports to Immigration and renew every 10 years.

90 Day Reports & Tourist/Family Extensions
The 90-day report is only required if having permission of stay beyond 90 consecutive days. It's a requirement for those with an annual permit of stay (not a visa) based on Thai spouse, retirement etc. Tourists having to visit an Immigration office for 30/60 day extensions are effectively confirming their address on each visit, therefore a separate 90-day report is not required.

Usually prefixed with the number '6'. It was the issue number I referred to, which is displayed under your photo.

Just opened a Pattaya Bank Account
It's accessible immediately, but you lose interest for early withdrawal of the funds. The agreement is you deposit the funds for an agreed fixed term to receive a more favourable interest rate.
