Visa exempt + 30-day extension + 60 days for wife visit, X2
As I understand it Jack, his friend entered VE around Sept 2025 VE + 30 day ext in Nov, followed by a 60 day ext in Dec, then another VE entry in Feb and looking at a further 30 day ext in April, followed by a further 60 day ext. If correct he has already been allowed to consecutively stay for 210 days. Perhaps @rattlesnake can confirm.

Visa exempt + 30-day extension + 60 days for wife visit, X2
One 60 day extension within a 12 month period, not a calendar year. Immigration are now looking at the history of VE entries within a certain period as well as the total number of days spent within a year, again not a calendar year as before. The only way to circumvent the new rules are to use an agent.

Visa exempt + 30-day extension + 60 days for wife visit, X2
If he already stayed 150 days and just did a border run for a further consecutive 60 day VE entry, then he was very fortunate indeed. Immigration have stated extensions from VE land border entries are no longer permitted. It was always a given that you could apply for a 60 day extension to visit Thai spouse 'once' per new entry, but since changing to 60 day VE entries, my IO limited 60 day extensions to once per year to avoid abuse of the system.

Annual renewal at Jomtien - new difficulties for me this year
Power of attorney as a co signature to the account. I used to sign the document copies of disabled expats as a proxy, with PP before my signature.

There is an exception where an applicant is handicapped or disabled, allowing another person to submit the application on behalf of the applicant. Are there no good Samaritan local expats that would assist in your situation?

As already mention, lying under oath is committing an offence of perjury. You should have researched and paid due dilgence to the procedure before returning to Thailand.

Aleeady married in USA - Can we also get married in Thailand?
It's actually 4 steps. Step-by-Step Authentication Process Obtain Certified Copy: Get a certified copy of your marriage certificate from the county clerk or state registrar where the marriage was registered. State Authentication: Have the certified copy authenticated by the Secretary of State in the state where the marriage was performed (often called an Apostille or certification of authentication). Federal Authentication: Send the state-authenticated document to the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. for federal authentication. Thai Embassy/Consulate Authentication: Submit the federal-authenticated certificate to the Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate General in the U.S. for final legalization.

Why did you submit the original certificate? Only a certified copy of the certificate is required. You should always maintain possession of the original.

Is there a time limit on getting visa stamps transferred?
Unless you move to a new permanent location and file a new TM30 with a different Immigration office.

Is there a time limit on getting visa stamps transferred?
To be more succinct, you can only transfer stamps at the Immigration office in the Province where you are registered as staying, which is not necessarily where the last extension of stay permit was issued.

Visa extension based on Marriage vs Retirment
Jomtien is a known rogue office and makes requirements up as it goes along. I had one home visit for my my very first extension based on marriage. Never had any further visits and never had to file a new TM30 for the previous 10 years.

Visa extension based on Marriage vs Retirment
If your manually doing the transfers OK, but if you set up automatic transfers then as already stated the 1st or 30th of each month is not advised due to weekends, holidays, which can impact the date the transfer is received. Setting a date mid month is more advisable.

Visa extension based on Marriage vs Retirment
To apply for the Non O in Thailand, you'd need to deposit 800K in a Thai bank account, which defeats your object. Obtain Non O in the UK. Deposit 400K in your Thai bank account. When seasoned for 2 months apply for the 1 year extension based on mariage. At the same time as transferring the 400K, start monthly transfers of 40/65K to suit. The following year, you have the options of changing the reason for the extension to retirement and use the 65K monthly transfers to meet the financial requirements. Alternatively, only transfer 40K per month and continue with the extension based on marriage. I'm always tickled pink by those that claim extensions based on marriage are akin to jumping over hurdles and through hoops. The extra documentation is minimal. Copy of marriage certificate, copy of name change certificate (if applicable), photos taken in and around the house, all of which can be done from home. The only extra trip is to any local Amphoe for an updated KR2. Trip to the bank is the same regardless of the reason for the extension. A deciding factor could be how near or far you reside in relation to your Immigration office. Even extensions based on retirement are not all completed the same day and require a revisit for the extension stamp at some offices. Everything is local for me, but if I lived 60-90 minutes from my local IO, then I'd consider an extension based on retirement.

Enter Thailand on the 3rd visa-exempt entry per calendar year
It's no longer based on per calendar year, Immigration will look at your previous history regardless of the year. If your maxing out your time on VE entries, then you can only enter twice, 60 days + 30 day extension, 2nd entry 60 days + 7 day extension = 157 days. For shorter stays, you can enter more than twice. Work on the basis of 150 days per year before being questioned or refused entry.

On the contrary, if you have no lease, or end date on a lease, then until such time as you file a new TM30 it should be assumed you are still residing at the reported address.

Divorcing Thai national and visa worries after divorce
Yes, it's possible, but the child must live with you, not the Mother, which is a point @DrJack54 was implying.
