That is a drop of half, TAT would normally ignore such a deviation of their plans as a rounding error I am willing to bet the numbers are more dire that those given for TAT to even comment.

If TAT wants to attract the elusive "high end" of the tourist market they will have to ensure that the necessary infrastructure is built to the needed quality and . . . . . maintained. Not holding my breath.

Who said there was no precedent in the Thai legal system? This is a path forged by others for a prison sentence being served in the police hospital, with the side benefit of having the government paying for all the treatment.

We concentrate the great unwashed tourists who cannot get the Thailand Pass, how about the poor Thais who cannot get back home? These people are far more significant to the relevant authorities than the great unwashed. Even more worrying for them, they can complain in the correct language, and they may have connected relatives!

Must be hard when you can't use the usual politician's excuse and blame the previous administration without besmirching your own family. So it is the rain's fault, along with any building project permitted by any administration in recent decades.
