  1. I thought I read somewhere about a new law that said all dogs had to be chipped, vacinated, have a colar with ID tag and only be let out in public with the owner ( or someone responsible ) on the other end of a leash.

  2. No need to got tho the DLT,instead you can go to Big C south Pattaya branch only on Saturdays to get a Tax disc, insurance can be obtained from AA insurance which is in the row of shophouses opposite Big C ( you see them when going up the escalators to the second floor which is where the DLT staff are set up )

If your bike is more than 3 years old then you'll need to have it "inspected" and issued a road worthy certificate before you can get tax and insurance.

  3. You can get Suzuki Spares sent to your address EMS post in a couple of days from Suzuki Nano

  4. Selling clothes at a market clearing 25,000 baht per month.

lots of work setting up/taking down then lots of boredom sitting around waiting for customers.... for ( probably ) very little reward

best to keep the job she has now and try to work less hours.

  5. The sign says works for 800 odd days...... so at least 5 years then sad.png

    ?

800 days is a little more than 2 years.

"odd"? odd/even? Still not 5 years.

I couldn't remember the exact number of days the roadwork sign says 860, 890, 889.....

whatever the sign says its almost guarenteed that it will take longer than planed...my guess is at least 5 years.

  6. Yes XBMC would be pretty easy to set up on the Raspberry Pi there are ready made "images"

that you install to SD card and boot right into XBMC ( it will always be XBMC not Kodi for me )

you then need to configure XBMC to suit your needs

there is a learning curve it is not just plug and play the advantage is ( eventually) you have more of an understanding how things work

and can set things up as you like.

  7. Anyone used one? What could an average user do with the Raspberry Pi that might make it worthwhile buying?

I use 2 of the old model B Raspberry Pi's

1 with 256 MB of ram runs as a NAS server, Transmission ( bit torrent ) and Myql database for XBMC

the second one with 512 MB ram is running XBMC connected to a 50 inch plasma TV both work rather well.

Setting them up was a "challenge" ( XBMC bit is easiest ) they are slow at times and there are hickups now and again like every computer.

I think I've had my moneys worth out of them they are sold as educational and they are another plus for me is that they are made in the UK.

  8. Problem is, most of the cybercafes now survive as gaming dens, filled with yelling kids day and night.

They allways where full of gamers.....the internet cafes bread and butter they sit and play for hours on end.

Compared to the " I only checked my email for 2 minutes " customer that moan about a 10 baht mimumum charge

    the gamers are great.

Still it is surprsing there are any left at all, after buying all equipment, the correct licences for OS and games then the government saying

all activity needs to be logged ( more equipment ) and CCTV installed + rent + electricity + wages profit ???
