  1. You may find that one Immigration officer who agrees with you; but, I highly doubt it.  Your problem now is they have you being denied in their computer system; and, the reason why.  So, no matter where you go that's the first thing they will see after entering you name in the computer in every province.  I would say your only hope is to show them that the amount of foreign currency isn't changing; and, the variable baht amounts are due to the variation in exchange rate.  Good luck.

  2. There's two sides to the "free" argument.  First, it's not free. Someone is paying for it.  If you expect the government to pick up the bill then include it in a package of choice. You get a free Covid test; or, a 3000 baht stipend to do with as you please.  We all know how that will go.  The second argument is, what price is too much if you think you are sick enough to warrant getting tested? If you test positive then the "free" testing kicks in. End result, about 3 baht per person; because, of that one positive test which resulted in another 1000 having to be tested.

there is every year a lot of time to maintain rivers and dams, but as usual they only will do it when the country is flooded.. after the flooding the problems are solved again..

There is a system in place to control rain water flooding. That's not the problem.  Parts of Issan get flooded every year; because, the dam "maintenance" system in Thailand; and, surrounding countries consists of opening the floodgates to insure the integrity of those dams. They don't care about the affect that has on everyone downstream.  I can only imagine what is going to happen with this forecast.

  4. We were talking about this yesterday while playing in Ubon.  I don't know where he got the information from; but, one of my friends read somewhere it was going to be in the neighborhood of 200,000 baht for that golf package; and, that is playing without caddies.  Knowing how Thais take every opportunity to gouge foreigners I would say that figure is probably spot on.

  5. What information has not been disseminated that makes these numbers even possible?  From The Thai rumor mill in Issan that "fish factory" is actually a nationwide self pickup distribution center. Considering the number of provinces that have active cases there's probably a lot of truth to that rumor.  Instead of telling me there's going to be 18000 new cases daily in the near future how about telling me what has been/is being done to isolate that fish/Covid 19 distribution point.

This is unfortunately worded. There was a report a few months ago (it's on TV also, got to search for it) that actually said that EACH of the 567 staff allegedly clocked up 1,500 hour OT per year and EACH of them was allegedly paid Bt6 million OT compensation for that. Puts everything in a quite different perspective, huh?

Who believes a mechanic got paid 16 million baht? Not me. Not to mention the fact that 16 million baht is a drop in the bucket when compared to the hundreds of millions USD that THAI has lost.

And why they did not let

    Him bring beer from outside.

I never saw this in 13 Year Experience with thsi Hotel.

I will never go to this Hotel

Per a letter he wrote (posted on the first page of this article) it was not beer. It was gin.  There aren't many drinking establishments in the world that allow you to bring your own bottle into their establishments.
