Basically one/two days left in Songkran; and, new provinces are being added to the travel restrictions list. Geez who knew Covid would spread like wildfire by allowing open travel then applying open travel restrictions afterwards. Darwin, Darwin, anyone seen Darwin?

There's two sides to the "free" argument. First, it's not free. Someone is paying for it. If you expect the government to pick up the bill then include it in a package of choice. You get a free Covid test; or, a 3000 baht stipend to do with as you please. We all know how that will go. The second argument is, what price is too much if you think you are sick enough to warrant getting tested? If you test positive then the "free" testing kicks in. End result, about 3 baht per person; because, of that one positive test which resulted in another 1000 having to be tested.

there is every year a lot of time to maintain rivers and dams, but as usual they only will do it when the country is flooded.. after the flooding the problems are solved again..
There is a system in place to control rain water flooding. That's not the problem. Parts of Issan get flooded every year; because, the dam "maintenance" system in Thailand; and, surrounding countries consists of opening the floodgates to insure the integrity of those dams. They don't care about the affect that has on everyone downstream. I can only imagine what is going to happen with this forecast.

She is alleged to have claimed to be a pilot, a lawyer, medical student and a handbag designer. She must have flown herself to the courthouse, walked in carrying a designer handbag, represented herself with a closing argument of "trust me I'm a doctor.

When I was laid off from Kennedy Space Center in 2011 (end of the Shuttle Program) the goal of orbiting the moon was a thing of the past. The program to follow the Space Shuttle was/is "Mars and Beyond". It follows that like most everything else here, 20 years behind western technology is still true.

Black Death killed about half of all Londoners; from 1347 to 1351, it killed between 30% and 60% of all Europeans.
I'm just guessing; but, there is a possibility that medicine has advanced a little in the 670 years that have passed between 1351 and 2021. I could be wrong; but, I doubt it.

You know what would help them reach this target? INCREASING the speed limit. Yea, that will fix it.
Anyone who thinks that the speed limit on dual carriage ways is not at least 120 kph already is living in a dream world (even in the backwoods areas of Issan). There's a difference between what's posted on the side of the road; and, reality.

Right now the bank is weighing their options, the cost of lawyers to tie this up in the legal system for the next 20 years vs paying 100 million baht to those "investors". I would say it's not looking good for the "investors".

Living in a housing estate that has quite a few Thai "educators" it's almost a guarantee alcohol was involved.

"Medical certificates" can be obtained from any walk-in clinic from the front desk receptionist. No questions asked, cost 50 baht.

News fact, this is the same guy who suspended roadside checks/speed traps. All those "debts" weren't a problem before that. That's a pretty good testimony to exactly how much they were collecting/pocketing.

We were talking about this yesterday while playing in Ubon. I don't know where he got the information from; but, one of my friends read somewhere it was going to be in the neighborhood of 200,000 baht for that golf package; and, that is playing without caddies. Knowing how Thais take every opportunity to gouge foreigners I would say that figure is probably spot on.

What information has not been disseminated that makes these numbers even possible? From The Thai rumor mill in Issan that "fish factory" is actually a nationwide self pickup distribution center. Considering the number of provinces that have active cases there's probably a lot of truth to that rumor. Instead of telling me there's going to be 18000 new cases daily in the near future how about telling me what has been/is being done to isolate that fish/Covid 19 distribution point.

Having worked at NASA Kennedy Space Center for 20+ years, I am taking bets that schedule will not be met.

This is unfortunately worded. There was a report a few months ago (it's on TV also, got to search for it) that actually said that EACH of the 567 staff allegedly clocked up 1,500 hour OT per year and EACH of them was allegedly paid Bt6 million OT compensation for that. Puts everything in a quite different perspective, huh?
Who believes a mechanic got paid 16 million baht? Not me. Not to mention the fact that 16 million baht is a drop in the bucket when compared to the hundreds of millions USD that THAI has lost.

It is a chart for today to show the reaction to the announcement.
Exactly; and, it has been expanded to make it look like there was a much more significant reaction than there really was.

Expanding the <deleted> out of that chart sure embellishes the fact that there is only a 0.2 difference top to bottom.

I like pretty much everyone else on here am not an expert; however, I do know that getting kicked out/told to go to a different school pretty much only comes into play at the college level. I believe some of the technical colleges have the same policy.

Thai financial lenders have an age limit for lenders. if you are over 60 you may have a problem.

Pretty much anywhere in Thailand flashing red lights are ignored. Not a problem for buses; because, they are normally the biggest thing on the road; and, everyone gives way to them. Unfortunately that "train" of thought does not work so well at railroad crossings.

Per a letter he wrote (posted on the first page of this article) it was not beer. It was gin. There aren't many drinking establishments in the world that allow you to bring your own bottle into their establishments.

What Provinces Accept "Monthly Ave. [ Mean ] Income Of THB 40k For 12 MNT. Extension Of Stay Based On Non-Imgrnt Visa Type "O" Given For Reason Of Visiting Thai Child?

You may find that one Immigration officer who agrees with you; but, I highly doubt it. Your problem now is they have you being denied in their computer system; and, the reason why. So, no matter where you go that's the first thing they will see after entering you name in the computer in every province. I would say your only hope is to show them that the amount of foreign currency isn't changing; and, the variable baht amounts are due to the variation in exchange rate. Good luck.
