  1. Bully's pub does a real good burger, but not cheap. Burger fries coke was $425 baht, last year.

Firehouse- it was my gals first burger, I went there on a recommendation . Again, very good, had the bacon and Wisconsin cheddar. But again very expensive. 2 burgers, fries each, and we split a water. $720 baht.

I love my burgers, both places were really top notch, but damn were they expensive.

I don't pay these prices in the west. Ouch!

  2. I just returned from 3 months. I have a girlfriend , so I don't take p4 p ladies.

I have a trip log this trip , so I can tell you exactly how much I have spent.

First of all, I am a fair drinker, and not a cheap Charlie, my gal hardly drinks. These prices are based on 2 people for around half of my holiday.

AFTER accomadation, and motorbike rental, electricity water. I averaged 1,700 baht per day.

And lived VERY comfortably on this.

  3. I agree with the above poster, why would anyone want to live here????

This is my first trip here, I love the place, but I most certainly will not be returning at this time of year.

And all the talk about wearing masks. Are you people for real??????

What a joy to have to wear a mask to go outside!!!! Hahahahahahahah

    Glad I live in Canada.

I was out on a bike ride today, my eyes are still burning, what a shithole.

  4. I spend 3 months travelling Asia and all that is needed is a carryon size backpack and my computer bag.

Why would anyone lug around a suitcase unless they were going to a single destination.

15 wick away breathable t- shirts, 7 pairs of shorts, flip flops, tablet( no laptop) toiletries( very little) money and the clothes I wear on the plane.

I don't even wear my jacket on the airplane anymore, it saves lugging it around for 3 months.

    This is all that's needed!

  5. I noticed that the luridly-coloured hotel on the corner of Soi Honey and Soi Buakow is advertising monthly rooms for 12,000B including water and electricity. Dont know what the rooms are like though.

If that's Sawasdee Siam, and I believe it is, I would give it a very wide berth. Admittedly, I only stayed there once - 2010 - but I doubt they've renovated the place since, esp at that price. Complete dump from the hallways to the rooms, and one of the only places I've ever stayed in where a sex worker has bitched about the room. The apartment block I live in - admittedly about 200m back from Siam - has rooms from 9k+elec to 25k all up : 12k a month for such a central location tells me they're feeling the pinch of this hideous 'high' season. Ironic that the reason I stayed there was that everything else under 1500 baht in that area was booked out and I got sick of wandering up and down sois in the heat - I expect that any new arrival to Pattaya could take their pick right now.

i went in this place for a look. OMG! I wouldn't bring a 500 baht beach road hooker for a short time there!
  6. The blue purple football shaped pills are called zoplicone. These were prescribes to me from my doctor for my long haul Canadian asian flight. I have also bought Xanax in cambodia.

The zoplicone works great, and I wake up refreshed and not groggy at all.

I took one zoplicone and half a Xanax last trip . Left Tokyo and they woke me up for breakfast 2 hours out of Chicago.
