  1. As an American..

    The blacks slaves were purchased as goods. They were sold by their own countries often as a punishment for being criminals.

    The really horrible story is what Americans call Indians, or currently "Native Americans". Settlers from Europe killed them as fast as they could for their land, oddly enough it was the European immigrants bringing illness and disease from Europe that the "Indians" had no defenses against that killed the majority of them.

    If you want look to the one of the bigger lies and rewrites of American history look up one of our most popular family holidays "Thanks Giving".. Sure the Indians were just so happy to be wiped off northern America and what was left put on tiny "reservations".

    I would suggest  you download  (Thai Script app) which will teach you the Thai alphabet and tones with  audio.

    also (Nemo Thai app) which teachers lots of Thai  phrases with audio so you can hear the tones . Both Free.

    If you want to take further  you can join a school with other  students which is more fun and you will make new friends. That's what I did and  I can speak read and write a little bit.    Good luck   Chokh Di โชคตดี

    I'd love to help students learn english while I learn thai. How do I find that? I have entertained the idea of being a English school teacher to Thai,  if the pay wasnt so low I'd do it.

    New friends in Thailand I can help with english sounds great.

  3. Im interested in a online college course with live instructors that are available 00:30 (5:30pm MDT, American). I know its a long shot. English is my native language.

    Also what is the best site that breaks down thai like this site?

    http://www.koratmagazine.in.th/thai/travel/lesson1/esect4.htm

    Even better if they have audio clips of saying it in Thai

    Kun Sabai Dee Mai Krap (Male)

    Kun Sabai Dee Mai Ka (Female)

    (Click on the word above and you can hear it in Thai.)

    [Explanation]

    Meaning = How are you?
    A literal translation is above. You can easily understand meaning by separating word-by-word.
    Kun = You
    Sabai = to be well, happy
    Dee = good
    Mai = interrogative
    Krap = to be polite.

    Willing to pay for it

    Any woman who falsely accuses a man of rape and is proven to have done so should get the maximum sentence that the wrongly accused would have got.

    Women like that damage the confidence that real victims would potentially have in bringing their ordeal to the attention of the authorities.

    Perhaps a little more.

  5. For people who are tech challenged and rarely do anything processor intensive I highly recommend a "Chrome Book".

    Its a small computer that runs on a modified Google Android OS, the same OS as the phone. That being said it can use almost all of the apps a Andoid phone can with convience of a large screen, full keyboard usb ports. Mine even has a HDMI output for connecting to a real monitor or TV.

    WIth the USB ports and HDMI you could use it as a full computer.

    I've had one for years, I use it as my travel laptop. Its slightly smaller than a regular laptop and much lighter make it great for travel. You can get full laptop sized Chrome Books, I didnt want that.

    The best part is you can a decent one for $300, and unlike a computer they are very hard to break things on or get a virus.

    For example

    Katoey for the record refers to trans "ladyboy". If a guy was gay Thai would refer to him as gay.

    Anyway as others have advised never offer anything to imm officer unless requested.

    I thought to this day it meant gay. I didnt know it was specific to LadyBoy. I certainly never dress like a trans. Just your average heterosexual USA guy.  Now that situation makes even less sense.

  7. I brought all of my paper work with me, my hotel and return flight 28 days later. At immigration I wouldnt say I had a hard time but the officer asked me a lot of questions I thought were not needed. At the end he approved me and said "katoey" as I walked away. I didnt know what that meant at the time and thought it was odd and remembered it because he said it with disgust. I had flow from San Francisco CA is the only reason I today can think of him saying that. I am not gay and couldnt care less if he thought I was gay, but his disgusted tone for a government official was unprofessional.

    Anyhow my last trip I brought nothing but my Passport for Immigration, no hassle and not a lot of questions. Just here you are and on my way.

    Has anyone else noticed immigration might be easier by providing the minimal information needed?

  8. As as American Ex-Army I own many weapons. Weapons that have would and have put me on the FBI watch list.

    I can say I have a few bags I take to the gun range with me with lots of Ammo. Still you'd have to be an idiot for this to happen. My travel bags never carry ammo of any sort. I did get stopped in China with a Key Knife on my key ring I forgot was there.

    Accidents happen.

  9. USA citizen with the same desire. Many men bring Asian wife/GF to US with no intention of her returning home, hence the difficult process, if you think that is rough try being your Thai Wife to America, you have to sign document you will give her $10,000 to return to thailand if divorced and prove you have the money to do it. And a child born is the US is a automatic citizen.

    I have not tried this before despite the current Thai GF being my second thai GF. I dont want her to stay (yet LOL) but just a week or two.
