No way I've forgotten. For ME,Thai women are great for fun and casual dalliances but for anything meaningful and enduring, Western women win hands down every time.

OP, go to Laos and get the tourist visa for now. If you get married, I have read here you can get a 1 year multiple entry non-o visa in Savenhaket (sp?). You would only need to do a visa run every 90 days.

SSDI is not easy to get and you have no obligation to explain yourself here. Sorry, probably my fault for asking details. I just was not sure what type of benefits you got. Lots of people who can no longer work move to were life is better. That seems to drive some crazy. Ignore those toxic types.

Not sure what to tell you. Thailand is cheap but I dont think $900 will cut it long term. You also need ongoing care or the SSA may cut you off. The fact that you moved to Thailand may show the SSA that you could work.

I would look at Cambodia. You can get a long stay visa for $300 year.

Are you albe to get your meds here? Does the SSA know you are here?

If you get married, you still need 40k month or 400k in the bank.

What are you on SSDI for if you dont mind me asking.

What are your plans? You can't stay in Thailand on tourist visas forever. Have you considered Cambodia?

OP, how much social security do you get and how old are you? You can get a retirement stay if you can prove 65k month.

I also don't think you can kill yourself with a bag alone. You would also need something to knock yourself out.
