  1. Have you presented your whole situation to all the providers for them to give you a solution?

My concern is trying to use different sources for different parts of your needs will end in no one taking responsibility if it failed .Blaming others and you with little interest.

you will be under massive pressure should it fail.

I would definitely use two companies to cover the same job,so if one fails the other could take over.

Dont be pressured too much about budget.Insurance is part of the budget.

You can research the internet providers in Thailand.Everyone has seriously let people down, everyone has extremely poor customer service .Do not trust any of them.

Thats why I recommend using 2 systems designed and recommended from different providers, all the equipment will be returned ,its only for a month ,its only for 60 people not a big deal money wise.

I hope this is a success for you.

  2. I was in a motorbike shop today, a girl assistant came towards me. looking at me whilst on her mobile phone talking to a friend. I stood there for 3 mins waiting for her to end the call .She kept looking at me then looking away, in a manner that if she was not looking directly at me, then I couldn’t see her anymore. Every time she looked at me, she looked away with a strained look on her face as if “god is he still there”

Having plenty of time on my hands I thought I would torture her further, by staying very still and staring at her calmly and intensely for another 2 mins waiting for some attention.

I broke my silence by asking the price of a bike, still talking on the phone she grabbed a book and started thumbing through it for a price. Still with the same strained look, and massively inconvenienced look on her face.

I then advanced her to turning on the ignitions of every difficult to reach motor bikes in the showroom, to give me the kilometer readings. She did all this still on the phone. I then asked her politely and with a smile, to see the green books of 2 bikes and provide me with all the service details and written details of the guarantee they offer. I really thought her head was going to explode with the obvious contempt of serving me. As she turned to go into the office, still on the mobile, I turned and left. (Quite entertained for a change)

The point of my story is Thailand seems to be at both the extremes when it comes to servicing customers. Mainly bad service or annoyingly over the top.

  3. Costas, you don't stand a chance of changing anything. You have been too soft for too long. The boarding school was a disaster move if you wanted to get close. Nothing you or your wife do will change these two now.

Nothing......So focus on you and your wife ,dont let them give you anymore pain. Be happy together and stop trying with them.Let them see how happy you are together, plan for you and your wifes daily happiness ( leave the kids out of it ) Let them feel everyone has had enough of them and their bad behaviour, they may stop to think,or they may go find somewhere to live soon and leave you in peace.......You have tried its not your problem any more,If they could press a button and make you disappear would they press it?........Stop worrying about them ,plan for your happiness only!!!! Only if they come to you should you engage with them.

  4. So many scams in Thailand that's why the country has got such a bad name.

This happens a lot all over the world.

Beggars and some Charities all over the world collect cash from good natured some say stupid people and use it inappropriately to suit them selves and feather their own nest.

    A lesson should be:

    Never give to Beggars.

    Never give to Charities.

No surprise you live in Pattaya the city for morally bankrupt people.

    When you give you receive

What a stupid statement to make of people in Pattaya....You are bankrupt of brains

  5. Precisely what bridges being burned are of such concern here?

He come come and go on O and TR the rest of his life eithba smile on his face no?

Pretty obvious that the TCT, Labor Min and to lesser extrnt immigration (perhaps with extension). He may be put on a blacklist for teaching. But those all obvious. He stated he was done with it. But Thailand needs warm bodies for classrooms...

But cancelling wp ez as filling out a paper, surely why not?

Its the flunkies, time and hassle at immigration. Bith in one day? Surely impossible and then transport out if the country. Lol. Even I will be pressed to do thst.

    Done. Leave. Good!

This is weird but after reading your post I now have a lisp, and cannot stop thinking about Mac Beth.

    Thanks for that!

  6. Toyota have a "high level" mark for a good reason.

But you will never get a positive response by explaining your concerns, you will be treat as a troublemaker ( as you already know)

But get your facts together and tell them any way.At best they will listen then walk away from you and have lunch without saying a word to you.

The service in this country is abysmal most of the time. But if we adopt a "no point saying anything" approach then it will never improve.

  7. What a shame the Thai Ministry of Education can't work to develop a program to utilize retired farangs living in Thailand as volunteer English teachers....there is potentially a huge pool of available English speaking people ready willing and able to at least assist in helping kids practice speaking and understanding spoken English...but most are scared off by the ridiculous requirements for work permits required to even volunteer for FREE.

Nine weeks with some UK university kids is better than nothing but what happens when the nine weeks are up and they leave....retired farangs properly organized and utilized could be a major asset to Thai schools.

Retired farangs are just that “retired”.

Let people who want to do this job for a living not loose out to bored retired farangs who can work for free.

These 9 weeks schemes are an introduction to teaching in Thailand, therefore creating future interest in coming here seriously when they have gone back home and finished their training and prepared themselves.

Let Thailand know they need to pay a fair wage for these teachers. Campaigning for retirees to work for free does nothing to help working teachers pay structures. Or even not becoming employed at all.

  8. Rudest immigration officer I've ever had was at Poi Pet border, old guy with receding hair line!

Yes I know this guy very nasty guy, thinks everyone is a naughty child, shouts at people. I threw my passport on the desk at him like I had watched him throw passports back at people. <deleted>.

But you must report these people ( after you have got what you came for) make them feel some pain for your often public humiliation.

  9. Your question “did I buy a gf”

Yes you did, but you didn’t pay much. Much less than any relationship costs back home, and you wouldn’t get a 30 year old. Or the attention and sex you’re enjoying. So what’s the alternative?

Enjoy it while you can, and if you are lucky she may begin to appreciate you and need you just for you.

Good luck I hope it works out for you both

  10. If you don't speak Thai Its so hard to know what everyone is thinking. The only interpretation is your gf version. If you cannot have a conversation with her family they are never going to know you,or understand you.

I think you need to learn Thai language before you start trying to play happy families. For your safety and your happiness.

Will your gf and her family help you with learning,or would they prefer you not to learn.

Without clear communication, you are living in a bubble.

  11. He didn't give this master scam much thought did he.

Its true many people in the UK use the insurance as a financial boost now and again, they think its ok to do.These are a minority but even then its alot of people.

Jail is too harsh, and not much point giving a massive fine he cannot pay.The best justice is not allowing him to obtain insurance for 3 years. house/car/personal any type of insurance. Put him on a insurance blacklist. This would stop insurance fraud over night.

  12. You are completely over reacting. You live in complete fear all the time so you drive that fear. And spread that fear to your wife. Not allowed to have her friends visit when you are not there. What’s that all about?

You don’t need a bigger dog or more security, you need counseling.

  13. Give him notice to leave as per your contract with him.Be clear of his final day and the time to be out.Arrange a date for meter readings and final financial settlement between you.( normally 1 hour before his last day time slot).Write this down for him in big letters!!!!

Remind him his bond will be returned if he leaves everything in order.

Thank him for his custom ,but the property has now been SOLD.And the new owners want to moving in asap ( I know it has not been sold but say it has)

Assure him if his goods are not removed on this date ,you will arrange to have them removed and he will be charged all costs.Tell him not to be lazy or forget the date, because you don't want to be fighting with him.( smile thai style)

At this point it should be clear to him he is leaving, you should not have a problem.

On the day arrive on time. If he is not there clear his things and change the locks.

  14. Your family is behaving very stupidly to your and their health. Everyone’s life is at risk at home and a school full, yet they tell you to be quiet. They ignore you.

What to do mate is take charge….give the orders “you already know what needs to be done”. If they ignore you, instantly move out, save your own life. Go find a family with a few more brain cells who care about you. You have let this thing drag on far too long already, get yourself checked.Let them know you are 100% serious and you might save some lives,in the school at the least.

  15. Triumph Daytona 675R or Suzuki GSX-R750 ( something in this category )

This is the next level for you, sounds like you have just about finished with the learner bike.

Hire one for a few days or a week. You won't believe the difference in acceleration, braking, handling,I am more than happy to join you on a test drive, for support. In Pattaya area.

A test drive of what ever you choose is imperative.Good luck
