  1. Waited patiently for my TV to arrive. Nothing came.

I logged on and NOW see a print out E appointment or collection on a print out asking me to supply more documents by post or in person ???

Does this mean I should have sent this print out back to the Thai embassy?

I never got any confirmation e-mail / phone call or anything. Much less asking me to log back on and do a print out and post it with more copies of the same documents.

    Advice please.

If I've lost the chance of my tourist visa ( I am NOT going to London for it) what are my best options to stay a full 90 days?

    Thanks

  2. I'm hoping for some advice on a Filipino wanting to move to and work in England. Visas, costs involved etc.

    She has :-

A Masters Degree in nursing (from Uni in the Philippines).
An IELTS certificate at the required level to work in the U.K. Health service.

A place to stay in England (my home).

I have known this lady and been in a relationship with her for over 5 years now and we would like for her to come to England and work here in the Health service.
She currently works as a teacher in Thailand and has done so for over 5 years, with intermittent work in Bangkok hospitals.

As the topic say, I am in need of advice on the best course of action and what Visas she would need and what other costs etc., would be involved.

Thanks for any helpful advice you can give.

This thread is about extending a tourist visa in Jomtien.

I extended my tourist visa in Jomtien in December.

I was given along with the photocopies and documents I prepared 2 further forms to complete, a TM30 and a Facebook form.

Therefore I can safely say, from personal observation, the Facebook form is not a fallacy, neither does it hail from the distant past. It was being enforced by Jomtien less than 2 months ago. As for today, who knows?

    Okay.

i have to admit, I saw no-one today having to fill in forms like the one you mentioned and there were plenty of us filling in forms.

Yes, I do recall hearing about this initially in what does seem a long time ago.

But no mention of filling in anything like that today, for me at least.

    A completed TM7 form with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached.

Copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp and TM6 departure card.

The will more than likely want a completed TM30 form also.

Thanks, Ubon. Your speedy reply was appreciated..

All done and dusted now. There was another form that I did not see but was filled in by the lovely girl behind the desk. I think that was the TM30.

  5. Personally, I liked the tone of her speech and I don''t think the E.U. will.

Miss May / May not seems to have summed things up quite well and I am more inclined now to believe she will.

Let's get on with it and show them we are not rolling over to the many demands and statements made by so many E.U. dictators and leaders.

  6. They are young and obviously stupid + they were drunk - according to them.

That does not give them the right to damage property.

Make them pay for the damaged property + a hefty fine for drunken vandalism. Probably think of some way to make them more respectful of other nationalities flags and then get them out of the country with a banning order.

    No jail time required.

  7. New Year celebrations will be very muted.

No fireworks and i think you will find many of the bars that play music have still got the volume turned down (not such a bad thing in many ways :whistling: ).

On the other hand, there is still the football to watch - if you are into that.

  8. Congratulations to Naam for winning POTY. A worthy win.

Commiserations to Trans and VF who also deserve congratulations for their worthy contributions.

A second place again for Trans. That in itself is worthy of note.

A great shame so may votes were discounted because of the idiots attempting to skew the result.

Well done to the mods for their hard work and due diligence in this years POTY.

Good job all round, especially Ron who put forth a sterling effort and kept his sense of humour throughout.

And if nobody else is going to commit to doing it next year, I'll be happy to kick off/lead an effort to define the parameters and rules for next years POTY.

Better you than the last agitator poster to offer to do the job.

I think - as I said above - that ron has done a fine job.

Please make it shorter next year though, whoever does the job!!
