Rear suspension performance and ride quality on a Forza is never going to be that good.

On a conventional motorcycle the engine and transmission are sprung mass whereas on a Forza the engine and transmission are also the swing arm.  Given that the Forza is a 350 that is a big heavy lump of metal moving up and down every time the suspension moves which presents the dampers and springs with a much greater challenge than a conventional motorcycle.

Thank you, I had come to that conclusion I'm afraid.
For anyone that reads, I still think it's an amazing scooter for both city and long distance.

  2. You need evidence from the bank (it's a specific template they have) which shows your money were transferred from abroad.

Visa on arrival, see wikipedia, is a visa granted to some nationalities.

Most Europeans don't need visa at all, they just enter. They are exempt from visa.

Imagine a visa being a sticker that gets applied to your passport.

VOA subject citizens, when they arrive, they go to buy the sticker at the VOA counter, then they queue at immigration and get their entry stamp.

You don't need the sticker, you just queue at immigration snd get 45 days entry stamp.

In Chonburi if you apply for retirement visa you also need copy of id card of owner of your condo and signed copy of the house book (called tabien baan).

  3. Hi everyone.

I am about to buy a new Forza, the 2023 model.

I remember that my first impression of the 2019 Forza was that suspensions weren't that good, so I fitted some YSS suspesions without perceiving much difference anyway.

My question to you is: do you think it's worth changing suspensions on my new bike? Will it make a difference?
And if yes, which suspension brand or model would you recommend?

I am not interested in anything sophisticated that needs particular adjustments, just want a good feeling when on bumpy roads in Bangkok.

    Thanks in advance.

we've said it 1 million times.  Please, motorbikes in Thailand are super, super, super dangerous; especially if you are old.

If you must, then you must and then just take the best precautions you can.   I understand bicycles, because that's a little bit of exercise; however, also dangerous.

Luckily for me, the first time I got picked up on a motorbike we crashed after about three minutes.   Car cut us off, and I jumped off the back, no harm.   After that day, never got on another one.  That was 6 years ago.   Many people have been mad I won't get on one, whatever, it's my life.

If there is a way you can avoid being on one, consider it................

Whilst I appreciate the do good attitude, I need to let this out.

So you condone bicycles because they are a bit of excercise but warn against the use of motorbikes.

Seems like an arbitrary way of warning. Bicycles can be as dangerous, and are a way of life, just like motorbikes.

You crashed after 3 minutes on a bike and got scared, which is understandable. I drove hundreds of thousands of miles in 40 years, many in Thailand and never any issue.

Motorbikes are as avoidable as bikes. Many things we do are avoidable and not doing them reduce risk, but we do them anyway and accept the risk.

Sure, driving without experience or under the influence is wrong, and equally surely even 100 years experience doesn't immunise anyone, but hearing an emotional well wishing rant from someone without any motorbike experience is a bit hard for some.

  5. Many years ago I exchanged some foreign currency into Deutsch Marks, it was about 100000 DM cash, which I took to another bank to deposit. When I arrived at the other bank they put them in the counting machine and said that there was a few hundreds DM in excess...
It couldn't have been, as I had no other DM on me or anywhere. They were counted several times, by hand and with the machine and it appeared that there really were more than I expected.
    I took it as a gift ????

"A three-dose course of the Pfizer or Moderna mRNA vaccines is said to be 10 times more effective than a three-dose course of AstraZeneca."

"Is said to be", exactly. Says the media (and everybody else):

Chinese and Russian vaccines = worthless

European vaccine (Astra Zeneca) = average

US vaccines (Pfizer & Moderna) = very good

The Pfizer vaccine is so good that Israel will soon have administered 4 of it already.

Is this your personal ranking of geograohic preferences or there is a study behind?

  7. I don't know the entry procedure into Israel, but I am inclined to think that when they send him back he will not leave quarantine facilities there in the way he did in Thailand.

I detect arrogance in what he did, it's not stupidity, it's self entitlement and disrespect for a country that he thought of as a playground where he can get away with what he wouldn't dare doing at home.

He should pay for all costs of the chase and for testing and assisting all those he came into contact with.

Do you mean where the highway 36 intersection is?

Anyway if not there is always BoyAir & Sound a bit further along on the left going southbound on Suk from the 36 junction - if you see the Mitsubishi garage you have gone too far.

    Hi Guys,

I went to Boyair and Sound today. They quoted me and I decided to try PF4x4, which is on the left hand side just before the intersection of Pattaya Nua. I had a better feeling with PF4x4 and they did a decent job.
I didn't look up the place indicated by Carlyai as I was happy with PF4x4 which came first on the way.

Thanks a lot for your help. Now I have my lights on my bumper (but not on the roof as I am told the police won't like them above the line of the headlights).

    Cheers.

  10. Thanks to the last two responders. I think the 32 or 64 is probably related to storage as you said, although I can't see why I would want to store  images of me parking...
The purpose of the 360 degree camera is to help when parking.
Anyway thanks, I will go and see a different shop tomorrow and will hopefully learn more.

  11. Hi guys,

I have recently bought an ISUZU MUX and decided to install an after market 360 degree camera.

I came across a shop in Korat who quoted me as follows:

    17,000 including installation for a RAM3 - 32.

    23,000 including installation for a RAM4

    26,000 including installation for a RAM 6.

I have no idea what the differences are, if anyone could explain to me please I would be grateful, including which of the three options I should go for.

I understand that RAM has to do with memory, probably rendering speed? Which would be adequate in your opinion?

    Thanks,
