The proof of income letter is provided by your embassy. The embassy decides what proof they will accept to issue such letter.

 

Some embassies, like the US-embassy, do not issue an income letter but allow you to make a statutory declaration instead.

 

OP is from the UK and the UK issues a letter for which they require proof.

                   now lets cut to the chase,  does the monies going into uk bank account ( say hsbc )  need to be from an employer ,  does it matter if say " my family " deposited into bank every month for me the sum of £1000 = 54000 thb .          i can also show 400,000 thb in my account every year.

just had an email from farang guy selling the steed, there is no green book with this bike, he says a green book will cost me 70-000 thb . maybe i should forget about the steed ? i am in no way questioning his honesty but i want to be safe, seems like its going to be a bit of a minefield out there buying a chopper.

i hear there is school in pattaya ( north star library, naklua ) who offer free classes.

i am 47 yr old,  i want to live in thailand ( fingers crossed )   i have an income at minute of about 50000 thb per month.    should i get this money put into a uk bank account, get online banking, print my bank statements per month and show the immigration ?  or do these funds have to reach a thai bank account every month ? 

 bear in mind a TT transfer costs around 1300 thb per month. 

 and do i need to show the whole years monies / payments going into thai or foreign bank account every month or just , say 3 months prior to going to immigration.

 i am not age for retirement visa , i am married to thai national but we are seperated.

yea, she made a mistake to go with this guy, he is being abusive ( so she says ) and he wont give her ticket to go back home, she told me she wanted me to go to france to get her and go back to thailand together but she lives in a very very remote part.

told her to go to police or governement if he is abusive to her, so im not falling for it if she wants me to buy ticket. she says she is on a 6 month visa. so ill leave her to it, up to her as they say.

here is the steed, as i say i love the look of this bike also and the fact it has extra seat for the gik lol....its going for 160.000 but i have seen better steeds at lower cost , maybe i can negotiate.

the intruder is as pictures above, a beautifull eye catcher !!! price is 250.000 thai owner so maybe not going to negotiate with a farang too much.

i am in uk at minute, if i decide to buy either these bikes what way can i send a deposit to secure ? i do not want fleeced but want to secure a deal.

i will be in thailand soon hopefully within next 6 weeks. i want a bike to tour abour thailand and see the country, i do not want to sit on my ass in pattaya or bkk, im thinking if i do not get my intended use out of it then any one of these bikes will sell again if taken care of , right ?

just need as much asdvice from you bike guys as possible.

in that case, if she has funds she can pay a ticket herself. just wondering why he wont let her go back and pay a flight for her if she is unhappy, then again she could be bullshitting me.

would the sponsor have to buy a return ticket if he took a girl to france on 6 months shengen visa . i do not want to go into detail but the girl in question told me that she wants to return home ( guy is being abusive ) i told her that surely he had to pay a return ticket for her when applying for her visa to the embassy.

any advice on this ? i dont know if she is trying to fleece me for the price of a ticket but then if she were then why would she ask me to pay ticket for her from paris to bkk.

to best of my knowledge i believe he needs to buy her an " open " return ticket ? incase of such abusive situations .

i know absolutely nothing about choppers, i am toying with an idea of buying one to travel around thailand, i go to thailand a lot and my guess is instead of just staying and wasting myself away in pattaya etc i can buy a chopper, don my back pack and take myself around isaan or south on regular trips .

honda steed or suzuki intruder ? honda 400cc is going for 160.000 thb suzuki intruder 1400cc is going for 250.000 thb.

the suzuki intruder has only one seat whereas the honda steed has a small seat for a passenger though i would not imagine i can take any passenger on long journey.

what about fuel prices , price per litre per kilometre ?

intruder has shaft drive plus a big 240 wheel at back , single seat and is a beautifull bike. honda is not so nice but has 2 seats though is nice enough bike.

im lost on what to do and need some advice please . also was told to be away as the chassis numbers need to add up and will i need thai driving licence ?
