i want to put my return flight back around a week, if i buy insurance now then what way can i work it to stay in thailand longer, insurance will not be a problem i will buy the best policy today in uk.

i have no work to return to in uk when i come back so hence i want to stay longer but the agent is chaging me extremely high price to change.

tried to ammend my return flight today, its costing an absolute fortune with the agent, i only want to extend by 1 week , ive heard people say go to a doctor and pay him a few baht to give me a sick line stating i cannot fly due to sickness / dizziness /nausea is this true ?

what is best way to get flight ticket put back a week , get insurance ?

I do not have time to get tourist visa in my home country . I fly .wed 19th dec from dublin. I hold an irish passport so im wondering could i get a visa from dublin within next 2 days ? Failing that then an ed visa ?

Im due to fly to thailand on wed 19th nov 3 days away i was initially going to go for a week but now want to go for maybe 3-6 months. What can i now do . Border runs ? Ive got dome great info from sll everyone of you even if dome was wrong it at leadt gave me insight into how things could or can work when dealing with inis. Still a bit confused as to apply for a visa ( at uk embassy or inis in dublin ) but anyway im going to apply for her naturalisation now so its all sorted. Thanks

Jay Satay is correct in most of his replies but the bit about the garda officer saying my wife can come to dundalk and apply for a passport there is i think wrong....Though i would still need to know this - can wife apply for irish passport ? Or is it better she applies for naturalisation ? Or are the two the same.

bloody hell this has got complicated, i nee to apply to london for her now ? as advised by INIS . tullynagarny i would love to know if indeed my wife can aplly for irish passport, she has been in belfast 8 years or more . she came under EEA permit. i am dual irish / uk national. i have both irish / british passports.

any of you guys got kids who go to a thai state school. what are they like ? my child is 5 year old , she was born in uk but spent few years on and off in isaan ( village life ) she loved it in isann. she is a fluent thai - english speaker. wife is tinkering with idea of " maybe " going back sometime for a while.

so just a thought of what schools would be best for her if wifey did move back to pattaya. heard some horror stories about thai state schools but there are plenty of farang who im sure send their kids there.

we could never afford st andrews or any other international school so that is totally out of the question. obviously our daughters education is important and that is the reson why we have kept her in he uk for school but if anyone thinks it wouldnt do her any harm going to thai school then we want to hear your opinions

Yes i got that thankyou. Im not bothered about her travelling to irish republic via road as she has been to dublin countless times without a problem. The original question is about flying from dublin to bangkok.
