  1. the thing i do not understand is this, i work offshore, i work on an electric turbine substation which is in 25 metres of water. an R.O.V ( mini robotic sub if you like) can go below the rig and find even a small object such as a spanner or a screwdriver which has fallen from anyone working up above on rig.

so given that investigators now know the near exact crash area , how in hell can they not employ more sophistactated R.O.V,s sonar and tracking devices to locate they bodies ?

  2. you run a travel tourism business online , by the sounds of it your successfull in that, you also attend regular UN functions nationally, you travel to india and bangledesh . though you stay in hostels ?

anyway i guess that you get a retirement visa based on your income 45k a month plus you need 800.000 in bank evry year when renewing. though im sure the guys on here will give you the best and most up to date advise.

  3. i live in belfast northern ireland / uk ( yea f****ked up isnt it LOL ) flights are allways cheaper from dublin hence i will allways fly from there to avoid uk taxes.

btw......im 47 yr old and married to thai national . so cannot get visa based on marriage, or can i ?

So I was wrong because I did not go back through all your previous posts.

There is no age restriction or requirement to get a non-o visa or extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai.

If you travel here without getting a multiple entry non-o visa you could get one in Savannakhet Laos on the same day you apply with no financial proof needed.

thanks again joe, so im right in assuming that i will leave ireland with a single entry or a double entry to do me say 3 months then before it is up i will travel to savannakhet laos and get a 1 year non (o) based on marriage to a thai antional....i will bring my marriage certificate right ? anything else ?

    cheers

  4. hi

maybe this topic has been asked before but here goes, i want to know where i can get a decent gym in pattaya doing muay thai or mma / bjj , trainers need to train you and not sit about smoking and drinking all day, ive heard some horror stories about tonys gym was like that. also a gym i went to 6 years ago stiplotek i paid 3000 baht up front for 1 month but trainers made me do sit ups and bounce on a lorry tyre for 30-40 mins before i even got into the ring for some pads , pads only last 3 rounds then that was it. so after 3 times there i got sick of it and left so they were 3k up with no one to train ( a good ploy )

anyway, i really need to get into some kind of sport, i will stay in pattaya and do not want to spend my days and nights drinking in bars etc. i am interested in anything i can get involved it wether it be muay thai, mma, bjj .

im on a budget and the likes of fairtex i will not pay , 800 a session, its a rip off !!!

    thankyou

  5. just read this on thai consulate visa page about applying for a non ( o ) based on marriage. though i am travelling alone, she will not accompany me. please see link i have pasted below.

  6. i just watched this video and a few interviews of tim sharkey v pattaya police. i cannot help but have the greatest respect for this guy but i also fear he will come to a very bad end if he stays in pattaya . surely he will not get away with confronting and taunting the pattaya police mafia like this .

  7. i once read there wa free thai lessons held at north star library, is this still the case? does anyone know where to get decent thai lessons in pattaya ? i once learnd in soi 6 school but it was a little on the expensive side and back then i was not 100% committed to learning . i would even embark on the ED visa route as i feel i would be more committed to learning now.

    thanks

  8. as it says in the heading, what is the best option for a long term visa for me, consulate in dublin is due to open on 2 jan 2015 so i want to know in advance what the best option is for me. i am 47 yr old, married to thai with children to her. i have money in bank to show though i do not have a monthly income from work or a pension. i have only savings in thai banks.

thai visa options are a minefield so sorry but there seems to be many options to stay long term . i think ED visa is out of the question as i hear and read that immigration is making life tough for ED visa holders though i would like to go that route and study and learn thai at least it will help me fill my days and keep me occupied so i think i would enjoy the challenge of the ED visa route.

  9. Dunno about Mexico, but most consumables here will be more expensive than the U.S. It ain't cheap and if you like the sauce and ladies, hope you have a big pension.

    All the best wink.png

    which consumables specifically?

the most important ones. the sauce and the ladies rolleyes.gif PS. thailand is not cheap !! please do your homework before moving over there. cambodia is maybe a cheaper better option for you, sihanoukville is beautifull and no visa hassles same as in thailand. try it out sometime.

  10. ok no search and rescue sightings as yet even though its daylight . did pilot take plane off course ? who was pilot ? not conspiracy theorist but why has plane not been found yet ? i dont think this was an accident.

prayers to families and to all onboard.

just watching news, seems there was thunderstorm in area and pilot diverted so i take my original post back.

  11. i live in belfast northern ireland / uk / the island of ireland ( yea f****ked up isnt it LOL , try get a thai to figure that one out 5555 + cheesy.gif ) add to the mix that i am both dual irish / british citizen w00t.gif flights are allways cheaper from dublin hence i will allways fly from there to avoid uk taxes.

BTW......im 47 yr old and married to thai national . so cannot get visa based on marriage, or can i ?

  12. thanks guys

if i can hold out untiull early january i will but i think i need to travel soon. as i say the main thing im afraid of is getting to dublin checkin and airline refuse me as ill have a 3 month ticket with no visa. also if i do buy a single then the airline will also be looking to see my visa .

wonder if i bought a ( changeable ticket ) would i still be refused ?

    hmmmm decisions decisions !!

  13. when i arrive at check in ( dublin ) i will have a ticket from 29 dec untill 26th march ........will airline refuse me to board since i will not have a double entry or non ( o ) visa ? if so, i could tell airline that i either plan to re enter thailand on border crossing or fly out to another country and back in again. or i could tell them i will be changing ticket to come back within 30 days.

do you think there could be problems here ? i really do not want to buy ticket for £7-800 only to be refused to board at checkin.

whats your thoughts guys . maybe i should wait untill consulate in dublin opens in new year and get non ( o ) but then processing times can be long i imagine plus i really need to get away.

    thanks

  14. considering i do not have time to apply for visa plus its christmas and consulates are closed etc. i need to get away to thailand this week 29th dec.

( do not ask me why ) how could i stay in thailand for 3 months or thereabouts ? can even go to cambodia / laos a few times.

also if i overstayed how much is overstay now per day ? if i even made it back to the airport that is.

    any advice ?

    thanks
