  1. Exactly what happens in a man's brain during SEX
  2. "Is Captain Rum joining us for this bring-a-sample party or is he going to sit this one out?" "Oh no, he's been swigging his for ages. He says he likes it. Actually, come to think of it, he started before the water ran out." Blackadder 2, Potato

  9. That extra £3244 buys an additional £1000 per year. You'd break even on the investment in about 3 years, maybe 5 or 6 times higher than what you'd get from an open market annuity.
  10. Unlikely in most cases, given that this is recognised as an extremely rare event and not something most people would expect in their current lifetime. Even the understanding of Nibbana, like the snuffing out of a flame is very hard to comprehend, it is not a personal achievement. Most would be drawn to Buddhism within their own culture by absorption and tradition, and in many respects the more mundane aspects of Buddhism function not dissimilarly to old fashioned Christianity with it's petitionary prayer, a wishing for better fortune. At deeper levels (and where outsiders might be brought into the fold), it is as others have mentioned suffering. If Nibbana is the ultimate exit ramp within Buddhism, perhaps the entry point lies in the Four Noble Truths.
  11. It was discussed here: https://aseannow.com/topic/1351759-thailand-may-ease-overseas-income-tax-rules-amid-global-changes/
  12. The newer PE visa is still a 5 year visa sticker but with one year entry stamp. For the longer 20 year memberships this sticker is replaced at each 5 year anniversary.
  13. Thanks. I wonder what will happen in practice - there was a recent poll saying that 58% of expats intend not to file at the present time. Also comments from the Finance Minister last month suggesting that the rules were under review. Three weeks until the deadline and things are still as clear as mud.
