All I can see happening is the Chinese police will sit in their respective stations with their Thai counterparts until it is time for a walkabout with the media present . They will accidentally come across some Chinese tourists , shoot the s**t with them , tell them that they are there for their protection . Repeat once a month , job done.

IMHO they lack vision and speed to get the ball moving , there doesn't appear to be any one touch football played , the majority of them just do not require the skill By the time they get the ball under control and looked up every body has been closed down . We need to play the ball forward quicker. Do or die tonight , they need this win.

Ratchaburi has a new immigration office
NE1 replied to mkmike's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Ratchaburi New Immigration Office. Visited just recently for my yearly ext. In the front door , counter with Yellow shirted ladies , told me to go through the next set of doors and up to the second floor ( lift available if required ) Gave my paper work to the officer standing behind the glass " Non O Retirement ". My mistake obviously , sent me to the lady in a yellow shirt behind the glass that was for re entry permits. She checked all my paper work and give it all back to me with another Two forms to fill in , "Acknowledgement of terms and conditions for permit of temporary stay in the kingdom of Thailand..(STM.2)" and the " Acknowledgement of penalties for a Visa overstay ". Filled them in and returned all documents again. TM 30 not required unless you leave the country and return , but a copy of the receipt is required for the time we submitted our TM 30 a few years back. ( even though the original was in the passport. All completed , everything gets passed on to an IO who goes through it thoroughly. Wants to know the wife's phone number , even though it is on the receIpt for the TM 30. Where we live , how to get there etc. He eventually located the house on Google Earth street view , then logged the co-ordinates in to the computer. Better than trying to draw a map...... In and out 30 mins. -
Two Young Foreigners Dead, One Injured After Car Driver Crashes into Motorcycle

Like it or lump it , if you are late for reporting they will fine you. What can you do about it ? The online system is to make things easier , if it doesn't work we have to revert back to the old way. The Immi is not bothered about reasons for you being late . I have been into an office , shown the print out for my online application and their acceptance of it and asked why there had been no response from them. Shrug of the shoulders , shouted somebody to come and look at it and he gave me a 90 day form to fill in in the office. No apologies/excuses cos' we don't really matter to them.

TM.30 reporting requirement change(?)
NE1 replied to mran66's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Who can say for definite . My wife owns our house and I filled a TM 30 in every year since 2016 , presented it to our immi. officers (Not Pattaya) and every year it was returned " if you still live in the same house , no need " Then a new regime stepped in and a couple of years ago they tried to fine me for not doing an up to date one . I argued my case about filing every year and the forms returned to me every year. They said I must fill a TM 30 in every year from now on....No fine. I returned the following year with a new TM 30 and was told I din't need a new one unless I have left the country...... Okay.....whatever. -
