What did Bangkok Bank tell her? You're going to rely on guesses from AN posters for something that vital?
In my dealings with Bangkok Bank , which are extensive , I would not believe anything they told me about something they probably know nothing about.

The aim is to scrutinize motorists and teenagers to reduce the likelihood of violence, apprehend individuals carrying illegal items, and discourage unlawful street racing.
Entertainment venues will be subject to stringent regulations to prevent violations such as extended opening hours, admitting underage customers, obscene performances, and illegal drug use. In addition, motels nationwide have been strongly encouraged to deny accommodation to minors.
So they are going to do what they are supposed to do 365 days a year , and this makes the News ....Sad state of affairs.

Why couldn't they identify it , I have just been on Google Earth and knowing the soi and what the hotel looks like it is not hard to find and there is a big sign showing the name of the hotel.

Bangkok bank have never let me get any document , close account etc. in a different branch to the one that I opened the account in.

On losing your phone , obviously the first thing you do is go to your bank and close your account(s)
and explain why you are doing it.
That should protect your financial side of things.

So no figures , just a 206% increase on last year. Which could mean an extra 10,000 or 10 million extra visitors.
Why do they try and boost numbers , is it to save their jobs ?

motorcycle lost control" so where is the hit and run bit?...
Open up the link....."The rider, an unidentified Thai male believed to be between 25 and 35 years old, sustained fatal injuries despite the prompt response of emergency services. Eyewitness Mr. Phongsathorn Wiriyarat, 27, reported seeing the motorcycle rider traveling at high speed before losing control and crashing. Sadly, before Mr. Phongsathorn could assist the injured rider, another vehicle struck the individual and fled the scene.
Police documented the accident scene and collected evidence and CCTV footage. They are currently attempting to identify the driver who struck the victim and escaped for potential legal charges".
