Referring to others as fighters doesn't impress anyone but yourself. However it may be liggo at your school. If that's the attitude no wonder people get interrogated. Thai boxing schools are mostly visa machines and it's reported that little practical skills are taught. Maybe your's is different.  Show the IO your Non O retirement visa and be on your way.

Whats your reason for simply making things up? Thai boxing gyms are visa machines? They cant even get u an ed visa. I know ofone in Chiang Mai, but thats an exception. There are litterally hundreds of gyms. And the ones who cater to foreigners also has thai fighters and the money comes from the training fees and also the fight purses from the live in thai fighters. Not from supplying paper work for visas.

  2. Im back, with the stamp fortunatly. I also think i can report some definite change in policy at Ranong immigration...

My short visa history consisting of 2 setv and 1 excempt was indeed an issue as the visa company staff had adviced. Luckily i have a 2 week stay in my home country coming up in july and had ticket printed out and upon presenting this and some smooth talk from the driver my second excempt was ok for them. After this i was briefly asked about my activities in Phuket, if I spoke thai, etc. All this in a friendly relaxed manner though I might add, but also the first time for me in 10 years (at land crossing). The guy who stamped my 1 day overstay missed the initial discussion and once he flicked thru my passport he too reacted instantly when he saw the tourist visas and the 6+ months stay, but the other staff told him it was sorted and off i went to boat. So it seems this is the new deal, ticket out is a must for second visa excempt. Driver hinted Satun might be more relaxed but nothing definitive as far as he was concerned.

  3. Unless you have a Myanmar visa, you cannot travel onward within Myanmar. For that reason, Thai immigration will not let you leave Thailand unless they are willing to stamp you back in.
Ok, so I will leave the bag then. Can make 7 day extension at local immigration office right? And then have some time to arrange flight to somewhere? Already have 1 day overstay maybe should fly out directly tonight.

  4. Yeah it seems so strange. Considering its a crossing used by so many and no reports of any issues. I asked if she has had customers in my situation turned down at border before and she said yes. Her vagueness is even more strange, something is off. Im guessing she is pretending to be knowledgeable.

  5. That was a proposal that was approved as a concept for visa exempt entries at land border crossings but it was never formally approved.
Visa exempt entries at land border crossings are still limited to 2 per calendar year.
With a valid visa for entry there is no limit.
And the prospect of this actually happening is pretty slim now i presume ?

  6. I went a month ago and was woken up by the agent who was at the embassy saying they thought my rental agreement was fake because it didnt include the owners id. I stay in a place that has both rooms and houses so not rented out privately. Also a ticked to your home country was required, this can be "sorted" out though. My rental thing was eventually "sorted" as well.

  7. Bought the mi5 a year ago from Lazada, cant remember from which shop though. Was sure it was a fake because xiaumi's online authenticity site didnt work but tried the app and it confirmed it was real. Anyway I always feel uncertain ordering expensive items online in TH.

  8. Is that because they are with you and have to save a little face ? If The same Thais ate without you would they still tip ?

I know they tip when they are among thai friends as well. These are young people though, but not overly well off. People like to be nice to other people sometimes, is that a chock?
