Its a fairly special chinese model, they dont have it in any shops. There are ways to find out if genuine but that means opening the box,

I ordered a phone, worried about fakes though. The sellers has decent reviews, any one have any input about this?
-
bump!
Do they make any problems if you turn down on item upon delivery? I mean with the cash on delivery option! ordered a phone that is now being shipped so not able to cancel, changed my mind though want a different colour haha.

Went to a couple of different banks today in Phuket, no account without work permit here it seems [emoji21]

You get the best exchange rate when the transfer is done in a foreign currency rather than in baht.
All Thai banks will accept the transfer and use the exchange rate for time and date it is processed at the bank. For transfers it is higher rate than the rate for exchanging cash.
Thx a lot!

Thank you Johnny! And would it be wise to just receive the funds as is and have the bank convert or how does it work?

Hijacking the thread a bit.
I will be receiving euros every month from the UK. What sort of account should I try to get and what bank is the best option here in Thailand? Basically all of it will be spending money for use here in Thailand. Thx!

Thanks for all the answers!
TVS sent me an sms and explained why the number was unavailable. So I will go with them for sure.

Don't worry if you want to use TVS, just turn up, it's fine
So they have multiple vans aswell or? Im not gonna go all the way from Phuket and then not get a seat. But if its all flexible like the other company thats great
Would also be nice to pay the full amount to the company and not have to exhange for dollars and kips and I dont know what.

This company leaves at a fixed time in evening. You pay for the van, hotel and meals for one price. You pay for the visas yourself. See: http://www.thaivisaservice.com/
They dont answer the phone though.
http://www.meesuktravel.com/ are the ones I talked too.

I was just on the phone with a company in Bangkok that arranges all inclusive visa trips to Vientiane . The price is 5500 and she said it includes everything, fees and all. She also said they have multiple vans leaving from their office all afternoon. It all sounds a bit wierd, im in Phuket and the visa trips from here are always booked in advance, she said to just show up and fill out a form and pay up and off you go no problem. Has any one done something like this? I like the idea of everything being arranged. Saves me the hassle with flights and hotels and what not.

How can you turn this in to a negative thing? Of course she will be happy to get flowers. And sending it to the workplace is something people do all over the world. If anything I would guess it would be extra fun to receive them in the workplace since its typically not the most fun place in the world to begin with.

Nope, but i have broken a few myself.

Only 2 times at a land border crossing this year under the new rules that went into effect on December 31st.
You total number of tourist visas does not matter as long as you can keep getting them from a embassy or consulate. At most nearby locations you can get 3 back to back.
Thank you Sir!

both left wing ,so no problem
Yeah, they probably said something not racist and/or homophobic. Cant have that, good thing it was blocked.

I have totally missed this 30 day thing, last time I did Ranong or Andaman Club it was 15 days. Anyway, how many times can I do border runs for 30 days now? The main issue is a passport full of SETV (5 in total from 2016) or maybe this doesnt matter?

$850 per month? At ROE of 35.83, that's slightly over Thb 30,000 a month. Should be able to live fairly comfortably.
Impossible! What about the two cars, maid and gardener? I personally spend 35 k baht on cheese every month.

Yes its etiqette among thais who are of low quality. I have never been in this situation, on the contrary everyone seems to reach for the wallet if you are in a group. How do so many farangs end up socialising with these bottom of the barrel people I will never understand. And i have been treated to a meal by people of little means so its not about financial status either I think.

Its the same in stores all over the world. Not a scam but a simple mistake. Just because you print out a price label doesnt mean the price is automatically adjusted.

How much does a Tourist Visa in Penang cost, from your agent, when you already have a stack of them in your passport?
If I remember correctly the fourth one was 2000 baht extra and the fifth 3000.

Fair enough. You could try at another embassy/consulate as most seem to count visas issued by themselves.
Yeah I was thinking about Laos, this would be a cheaper alternative.
If anyone has secured a tourist visa in any of the consulates in Laos after 5 consecutive ones in Penang I would greatly appreciate a heads up.
-
Some of the agents are able to get 4 or more tourist visas for an extra fee. I suspect that the fee would be the same even if breaking the cycle with a Non 'ED'.
I have 5 already and the info i I got was they could get me more after I secured an ED visa for 3 months. If this doesnt work out I will just have to head home for a while. -

I very much doubt that. Which consulate?
Penang. Got the info from Banana, and I have zero reason not to trust them as they always seem to be on top of things. Hard to be sure though.

So its more likely real then? Thats how I would interpret you post kind of. Anyway it sounds hopeful that a refund is possibly in the event of it being fake. I just never expect things to work out smooth in Thailand.
