  1. so I arrive at the Thai Consulate in Vientiane, they check that I have all the paper, pictures, copies etc, so they tell me I can come back tomorrow to pick up my passport with a tourist visa.

process the two other times i have been to the consulate in vientiane (2013 and 2017) that was different, back then I have to sit and wait like everyone else until they call up my number, so what have changed ?

this is what I got with me.

It seems to me that  aqi has been higher for longer this yearbut maybe another reader can check if I am right and share data for you.

I leave the country now during much of March and April because it is so bad, and, apart from much handwringing in meetings, nothing changes. Rather like road deaths @ 24000 per annum. Uk 1700, Vietnam with bigger population 7000 I believe.

Other than that I love life in Chiang Mai- or I would go elsewhere!

We all make different choices, but living here and moaning about it is not mine. I know where the airport is!

When I was in Vietnam ?? 2 years ago, the tour guide told us there was 40,000 deaths on the road, but anyway it’s No way as low as 7000.

If you want to get another visa exempt entry, do it by land. You have enough previous visa exempt entries, especially bearing in mind your age, that some immigration officials at the airport could deny you entry. It is unlikely if you enter by land (which you can do just twice per calendar year). If you might actually stay quite a bit longer, stop using visa exempt entries and get tourist visas instead.

A good place for a tourist visa is Vientiane Laos. Easy and cheap way to get there is by flying to Udon Thani in Thailand, and a short overland trip from there to the Friendship Bridge at Nong Khai and across to Vientiane. You apply for the visa in the morning of one day, and get the passport back in the afternoon of the following day. Thus, it is possible to leave Bangkok early in the morning and return by the evening of the next day with only one night in Vientiane. If you have not been in Vientiane before, it probably makes sense to spend a bit more time there, and avoid the rush.

Thank you, for your suggestion, I think that’s what I will doing ?

  4. I’m 25 years old Norwegian citizens and staying in Thailand long term isn’t that easy when there are non options/ or if there is to stay here long term, please let me know.

i have been in Thailand since 27th June 2017 where I arrived by air, got 30 days on arrival, then I went to chaeng wattana and extended it and got another 30 days, then I went to Malaysia for few days then I came back to Thailand and did the same thing.

    next was Vietnam,Cambodia and Cambodia.

total 5 visa extemptions and have extended all of them, my plan is to stay here until middle of may before I will return back to my home country.

Now my visa extemptions extension is finish 25 April.

so what is my options? Get a tourist visa? If so where ? Or take another trip to Cambodia or another neighboring country staying there for a few days, like I have done already 5 times already?

any suggestions will be appreciated, thank you to all that have advice for me. ?

  5. "On her way to work one morning, down the path along the lake, a tender hearted woman saw a poor, half frozen snake. His pretty coloured skin had been all frosted with the dew. 'Poor thing,' she cried, 'I'll take you in, and I'll take care of you.'

"Take me in oh, tender woman. Take me in, for heaven's sake. Take me in, oh, tender woman, sighed the vicious snake.

"She wrapped him up all cozy in a comforter of silk, and laid him by her fire side with some honey and some milk.

"She hurried home from work that night and as soon as she arrived, she found that pretty snake she'd taken in had been revived.

"Take me in, oh, tender woman. Take me in for heaven's sake. Take me in oh, tender woman, sighed that vicious snake.

"She clutched him to her bosom, 'you're so beautiful', she cried.

"'But if I hadn't brought you in by now, oh, heavens, you would have died.'

"She stroked his pretty skin again and kissed him and held him tight. But instead of saying thank you, that snake gave her a vicious bite!

"Take me in oh, tender woman, take me in for heaven's sake. Take me in, oh, tender woman, sighed the vicious snake.

"'I have saved you,' cried the woman. 'And you've bitten me, heaven's why? You know your bite is poisonous, and now I'm going to die.'

"'Oh, shut up, silly woman,' said the reptile with a grin. 'You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in.'"

  6. Hello, thaivisa.com is a good website where you can get a lot of answers, such as a visa and or where they sell milk where you get your 25 satanng back.

But this site also attracts very many losers, yes those losers who have so little to do about the days they spread cancer, never something positive, just
complain if your life is so bad in Thailand and everything is so bad there, Why do you live there / come on holiday?

I am members on more pages for expats, south korea, indonesia, japan etc etc, it looks like no matter where an old gray man lives abroad or in his own country he will complain.

Negative people need drama like oxygen. Stay positive, it will take their breath away......

  7.

Why do you care what others are doing? If others do not use seat belts, helmets or sitting behind in a pick up it will have no impact on your life. Take care of yourself and shut up.

*drunk driving, reckless driving and highspeed driving is the problem

Because it harms others around them...

And if you can't accept how things works in Thailand, pack your back and get hell out of here, or if you are a toruist stop coming here, go somewhere else, the only on that can do something abut what you don't like it's yourself.. the choice is your's.

  8. Deary me, somepeople would be prepared to miss a flight to Thailand for the sake of a thousand baht.

When you try and check in for the 2nd time it will show that a few minutes previous you tried to check in without an onward flight. Do you think they will say nothing ?

Get the onward flight and dont risk it.

yep i have got onward ticket to ho chi min city, Vietnam, 1390bath nok air :)

  9. Hello everybody, i have just booked a one way ticket from Oslo ( Norway) to Bangkok with one stop in dubai with emirates airline date 23 june.

i have no visa, no return ticket, so the question is will i be denied entry the plane? and if so, any advice for something i can do?

i have travel with Norwegian airlines and thai airways direct to bangkok from Oslo on one way ticket and without visa, every time without any problem.

i have no idea how long i will be in Thailand, arround 1-2 month, and i dont have time to get a visa :( only 1 week left before i go to Thailand.

  10. Poor guy, Better become a ladyboy and robbing tourists. Only 500 baht fine.

yes this taxi guy trying to make living and get fined 4000bath, while this <deleted> ladyboy scumbags can walk arround and steal from tourists and get away with a small fine.....

the police should grab all those taxi"meter" that drive arround in pattaya and don't use the meter and fined them 4000bath everytime they are doucebags.... i would use the taxi meter in pattaya more if they actually use the meter, some days when it's raining it great to sit inside a car with aircon and when it's hot outside...

  11. All over the world, not only Thai women.

Yes it happens all over the world but to what degree.

I am quite sure if I started a thread about Thailand having a lot of coupes you would reply with it happens everywhere.

Thailand has many ladyboys , your reply they have them in every country.

Every country has every problem, but it only really becomes an issue when it happens excessively.

Yes it do happen all over the world, AND YES there are many thinks that happen all over the world.

  12. AND so <deleted> what? if pepole want to drink let them drink, we are born free, and that means take our own choice....

but it dosen't work that way in the west, we raise the taxes and belive pepole will drink less, as i sayed if pepole want drink they want drink, their choices, if the alcohol is expensive in the store, pepole will smuggle.

My country Norway is the the country where alchol is most expensive in the world, but pepole still drink very much, quick trip to the border to sweden or denmark and we can buy alots of alchol for less then half the price here, and because of alchol is half the price there dosent mean they drink dubble as much as us....

    i hate socialism.

  13. I am sure they will get tired of the

    Crime, dirty water, filthy beaches

And being scammed by some of

The locals. This will last a couple

Of years, then they will all be off to

Vietnam for cleaner water and more

    Beautiful beaches.

HAHAHA, i went to ho chi minh city for my first time july 2015 stayed there 4 night before i have to return back to Thailand.

    1. i got scammed at a massage parlour first day

    2. the locals seems to be very easily aggresive, ecspeacally if you ask for the price for some items and not buy it.

    3. it so <deleted> noisy!

after 4 year in Thiland i find Thailand much better.... NOT Pattaya or patong phuket. BUT THE REAL THAILAND. :)
