Going short-time only, shallow or succulent?
Chwooly replied to SoCal1990's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I have quoted your very first response and just so you can't weasel your way out of this you mentioned Beta males so by inference you mentioned Alpha Males or is that a concept you can't grasp? -
Going short-time only, shallow or succulent?

I have met women from most walks of Thai society that were doing pay for play. Nurse's, paralegals, office assistants, engineers. and College students. From over 30 years have I have come to realize that most women here see sex as a body function as normal as going to the bathroom, every girl I have sex with wants to have sex with me or in the very least makes me believe that so she can get paid, Like I said before 90% message me to come back and see me again. As for your Alpha vs Beta male trope, That thought process is total bull<deleted>, There are leaders, Call them Alpha, There are followers call them Beta, . Then there are those that can lead but don't want to, And they don't follow. They just want to be left alone. I have friends that fit both of those A/B tropes and I fit neither, If you are not smart enough or man enough to make your own decision I am not going to lead you and most people especially here are not smart enough or interesting enough for me to follow. -

According to Peta eating any animal is wrong, do they have the moral high ground? Why do we draw the line at cows, pigs, fish, and certain fowl? Why is eating rat not more popular in the west but you can buy it fresh off the grill in Lao and norther Thaiiland. People domesticate pigs and yet we still enjoy bacon. I don't understand your comment about Buddha? If your are saying that people that believe or follow his teachings are sheep then the same can be said about other religions/philosophy's with equal justification. You chose to believe in a Judeo/Christian god. But that doesn't give you any right to disparage someone elses' belief's. Obviously those that had everything going well in their lives didn't or they wouldn't have turned to suicide as an option. As someone who has researched and has lost people close to you you should be able to understand that once you start going down that rabbit hole is is very difficult to find a way out and while it hurts those left with the loss to the suicided they were doing those they loved a favor and was saving them from great hurt at the suicided see it. But this is my last response since it appears we are just going around in circles. Thanks for a thought provoking discussion. -

2 things you said that are telling, saying a culture isn't evolved because you disagree is IMHO elitist and there is an accepted right and a wrong no matter where you originate. The cultures that eat domesticated animals as far as I know don't actually domesticate the breeds they see as food animals. II have never seen a Pomeranian hanging up for sale in Vietnam. Who says your view based on your culture and religious belief the right one? I had a girl come to my room and she wasn't feeling well, I asked her the next day if she was ok and she responded with "Yes, yesterday i went home and had Diarrhea." Now to her there was nothing wrong with telling a guy she just met about her bodily functions. Yet in the western world that would be unheard of, Just like a girl talking about her period. To you and I that is wrong, But is it really? To us it is not an accepted topic of conversation. Your attitude towards Suicide calling it a cowards way out is to be honest, quite reprehensible. The fact that you researched it for 30 years and still have that attitude is actually disturbing. But that is a completely different topic -

Of course it does. We want to believe that people are all the same but this is nonsense. Basic human behavior is learned from those we watch and live with. At some point we grow up and make decisions based on what we have learned and are able to tolerate but that is still based on what we have learned. I do agree that Culture is manmade and a learned behavior which is why I brought it up. We see suicide as abhorrent but from everything we know both Native Americans and the Japanese found it acceptable (albeit for differing reason) And it is now making a comeback ie euthanasia Why do some cultures accept eating dogs while in others it is abhorrent? What you learn from your culture changes how you view and deal with emotions. https://cruciallearning.com/blog/the-differences-between-behavior-and-culture/ Here is an interesting read if your interested. -

I am sure you will disagree, but this study while relevant to the US and Europe doesn't necessary apply here in SEA. Different culture, different upbringing, different moral compass. -

I don't believe in unconditional love which is what you seem to believe in. If you love someone and they don't return that love eventually your love will fade. If all you ever do is give and never receive how can the love survive? That in and of itself is transactional. I think we will have to agree to disagree, I don't and never will believe in altruism, Everyone does something for a return. Everything in life is transactional. -

And that is still a transactional relationship since they have to keep loving, respecting and enjoying each others company to make it work. No matter how you spin it, every relationship is still transactional. commitment doesn't change that. being committed only means you will work at it and try to fix it when things go sideways. But if the love, respect or enjoying fails on 1 or both sides, no matter how committed you are the relationship will fail -

All relationships are transactional. Some are just more longer then others If you think otherwise then you are fooling yourself. The real difference is in how the transaction/relationship is carried out and the length of the contract. Some are a tangible currency based relationship while others are emotional based, In a short time relationship the contract is for 1 or 2 hours maybe 12 hours. In an open-ended contract it lasts until 1 or both feel the terms are no longer being fulfilled or the needs have outgrown the ability of 1 or the other to fulfill the contract and then you have a breakup or divorce. -

In all my years, 40+ chasing tail. I have never found a woman who gives it away for free. There is always some quid pro quo involved. What is the difference between taking a woman out for dinner, a movie or dancing then expecting a happy ending vs giving her the cash equivalent of dinner/movie/dancing and then going to the bed? Why is paying someone to have sex on camera legal and paying someone to have sex off camera illegal? 90% of the girls I go ST with message me for a repeat, They are looking for money to take care of their kids/parents/life and they won't make anything near that in 7/11. Most of those that moralize are sad unhappy geezers that are either envious of those of us that have chosen a different lifestyle or are stuck in an unhappy relationship and want others to be miserable with them . Yet what I find funny "Their body their choice" unless they want to make some money from selling sex. -

https://www.electrolux.co.th/en-th/appliances/ovens/eot3218xg/ You mention baking bread, Take a look at this one for that exact feature, it has a fermentation setting for allowing yeast to rise

I have a similar model 11 years old) and the heating element is the the grill element. with a fan in the back to circulate the heat. I don't know your needs but do you really need a microwave? I bought this because i thought I did and I use that functionj mostly to melt butter for popcorn.

1) Right in front of the Ave shopping center on 2nd road after 6pm, Along Beach rd, Or they drive up while you are eating on Soi Buakow. 2)As already stated Decathlon or shop on line at Lazada or Shoppee 3)Would never be caught dead in those, That being said, There are a lot of croc knock offs sold all over town and I believe in Central Festival and Terminal 21 there are proper Croc shops.,

Take a look at Electrolux, they have a couple of models that incorporates microwave / grill / convection. or depending on the size you need get a front opening air fryer. Air fryers are really just a heating element with a fan similar to a convection oven however unlike a proper convection oven there is no way to increase decrease moisture. I have an Electrolux that I bought aobut 10 years ago and it does a great job for larger things and then i have a front opening air fryer that I found on Lazada for about 1500 baht that does a great job. I don't bake bread but have done home made pizza in the Electrolux on a stone and it does a great job.

Police Officer and Her Two Daughters Found Dead in Bathroom
Chwooly replied to Georgealbert's topic in Central Thailand News
Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is extremely deadly, 100-150 Loss of smell (olfactory fatigue or paralysis). 500-700 Staggering, collapse in 5 minutes. Serious damage to the eyes in 30 minutes. Death after 30-60 minutes. 700-1000 Rapid unconsciousness, "knockdown" or immediate collapse within 1 to 2 breaths, breathing stops, death within minutes. 1000-2000 Nearly instant death Possibly whoever poured the cleaner in, got a hit at better then 1000ppm , collapsed, victim 2 walks in same thing victim 3 walks in, but because of the other 2 when she collapses due to the size of the bathroom falls against the door closing it. -
AIS SIM is eating up all the money you top up
Chwooly replied to AnotherOneHere's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Who said anything about service center and what call center do you use in Thailand that you can count on to always speak high quality English? It was an AIS counter in the local Big C I was already at Big C to do some shopping, So yes it did take only a few mins. Especially since I walk by the AIS store at least twice a week when I am in BIG C. What stuff was made up? While I have not called the AIS call center. I have tried to use a few call centers here, Pressed 9 for English and got someone who's command of English was far from adequate. Were you there when I asked them to take a look and explain why AIS was taking this money from my account. And I am glad you are intimate with my financial status and are able to determine that 4 baht a day doesn't hurt me financially Yes 4 baht a day is not a lot, multiply it by the amount of time it took to be noticed and it adds up. -

While that is accurate. Owing to my lack of Thai and their lack of English, It took a little bit to get across to the staff there, what the problem was. Being able to hand them the phone and show them was a lot easier. Trying to deal with them over the phone would have been an exercise in futility. The 3 mins I had to wait for my ticket number to be called was well worth the lack of aggravation I would have otherwise suffered trying to explain the problem over the phone. I boggles my mind that so many people actively seek to cause them selves problems that are easily avoided just to save a few baht or a few mins.
