  1. They administered a spinal block and propofol.
  2. TURP utilizing a laser is the treatment I had in Chiang Mai at Bangkok Hospital here a couple of years ago. Out of the hospital in four days….no catheter when I went home. My urologist is first rate. After care consisted of rest. pain was minimal to non existent after I went home. Even in hospital I didn’t require pain meds after the first day. No painkillers, no opioids, nada. Oddly, it was about two weeks or so before I was comfortable sitting in and traveling in a car for more than a few minutes. Reclining at home was fine. No follow on symptoms and no negative effects. Fully continent and functional. (your results may vary)
  3. Brace yourselves……here come the hordes!
  4. Rule number 1…. Never send a copy of your passport to a stranger via email. Rule number 2…. See rule number 1.
  5. I wasn’t referring to firearms for “hunting” use by Americans…..the OP I responded to was referring to military armaments for government use.
  6. Ya, was there ever a time when the arms industry felt a recession?
  7. Chiang Mai Immigration requires a 12 month bank statement in addition to the bank letter. It’s easy enough to get. Bangkok Bank takes 5-7 days to get the statement from the main office in Bangkok so I always get that first then get the letter and update my book just before heading in to “the gauntlet.”
  8. So, the female prostitutes get a pass? Why are they not being “registered”?
  9. Who’s going to fix it when it breaks down? Oh, wait…….
  10. Ya. The Russians are coming but may not return home. Who would want to, especially now?
  11. in your post you said you have a non o-a visa/extension. Presumably you have that as a retirement visa. You can apply for a Non-O retirement visa in Thailand after you enter visa exempt.
  12. So….why not comply with their request? Are they singling you out? Are you the only one they’re asking to don a mask? As others have said, they’re free to make their own rules…
  13. If your local IO won’t let you renew that early, you might consider re-entering visa exempt (if you’re eligible) then applying for a non-o after arrival. Then follow steps to get the annual extension, etc. If you already have the requisite funds in the bank it should be a fairly easy transition to a non-o visa and subsequent extensions that do not require insurance.
  14. Ya. Let’s see it tested on Musk.
