You've been doing a good job of backing up your mate so far. But the above could be construed as you saying he's an obnoxious prick normally. Which obviously he's not, just had a bad day ????

Normally a great bloke. Never seen him do anything like this before. A f**ken bad day and he was acting like a complete goose but some of the comments to jail him, deport him and RTP should have shot him? If you've never been pissed made a goose of yourself during your lifetime you've lived a boring life. Let he who is without sin etc....

  2. For my Thai wife to get Australian Permanent Residence it took 11 months and cost me at least A$8,500 to get it done in Thailand. The use of Australia's dodgy exchange rate drove the price up and once they got every bit of paperwork they asked for they just make you wait for a few months. I don't mind the security checks but <deleted> does it take 11 months? Now the wait can be 30 months or more.

Sorry to say he is a fellow countryman, slap him in the clink for a week or two, with some attitude adjustments.

Mate, he fell off his bike and knocked over 2 bikes, probably little or no damage done and then he argued with the police. No proof so far that he was pissed. Overnight accommodation and a fine for being a goose should be enough. Plus the cost of the imaginary damage to the bikes.

I think that these comments about American police resorting to lethal force (and the commonality of this), speaks more to the lack of professionalism in action by American police, than it does to thai policing actions

More chance of being shot by US police than Thai police, for some reason the Thai police seem reluctant to shoot anyone. Maybe they have to buy their own ammo. However Con only fell off his bike and argued with the police, maybe enough to get shot in the US but not Thailand.

With making news rest assured paperwork is already done. The difference now is how much cash is needed to make less paperwork with less charges and less severity

Yeh, your probably right. The price has gone up with more people to pay off. Never argue an unwinnable argument. I look forward to seeing the Wai's, handshakes and apologies coming after payments.

Well he is way past that. He is arrested , whatever his arrest , bail is 150 000 not to stay in the cells. Passport also taken away.

Charged with drink driving ? Off to court on Monday if lucky.

charged with damaging property? Off to court hopefully Monday

charged with both and his bill will easily be close to half a million.

Cash has to cross the desk before too much paperwork is done to avoid court.

We do not know but he could have been riding drunk and of charged with DUI, it could be enough to deny his visa extension. If immigration finds him menacing to Thai society for whatever reason they like , it is also enough to cancel visa and deport

do not forget , this is still Thailand not back home with step by step processes and appeals

Step 1. Go to ATM Step 2. Withdraw a lot of money Step 3. Hand money to RTP Step 4. Wai and say sorry Step 5. Leave and don't do it again

Cash solves all problems here, you just have to do it before too much paperwork is done and too many hands come out to be paid.

You right , he was not born to mother who was an army hooker and a father who was a peasant soldier.

he was unfortunate enough to be born into a Normal european hard working family seeking for a better life .

just hate all the non real aussies , don’t you ????

You right, he's born and raised in Australia, he's usually a really nice, funny bloke I've never seen him argue with anyone before. Had a few too many beverages.
