How much did you pay for the shoes ? Maybe we can crowd-fund you to cover the cost.

Strongly recommend you don't bring them here. It might be ok for them but more than likely not.

Things are changing in modern structures in Thailand. Thais are much taller than they were 50 years ago.

I can only comment that you have to learn not to take anything, and I mean anything, too seriously in Thailand, even death.

Wow! Brilliant sarcasm - combined with argumentum ad hominem! Your Grade 8 English instructors taught you some serious composition skills.
(Think before you reply.)

No chance for a UK state pension under current legislation I'm afraid.

Calm down. This is Thailand. If you take things too seriously here you will go mad.

The one thing about which the UK govt have given very clear advice is to warn against foreign travel. No sympathy whatsoever.
-
The law is clear. Foreigners are required to carry their passport at all times. Most of us don't and have never had any problems. However, be aware that failure to do so could be used against you.

It depends. Not all Thai shop owners welcome personal questions or discussions. Some do, some don't.

No, for selling the video ahead of his rival lawyer.

The whole thing sums the Thai cops up very neatly actually. Thieves, bullies, murderers, extortionists and liars who only seek to "serve and protect" their own interests.
It has been this way as long as I can recall, and I have never seen any real effort to change the status quo. You can pretty much guarantee this scumbag will not be convicted of anything and such awful behaviour will continue.
You can trace the origins of this police behaviour back to the events of 1946, after which lying, scapegoating and greed became the acceptable norm in Thailand.

7 years an counting his attempts at reeling in the RTP, not one change has been made except to move people around and then place them in inactive posts instead of firing them. Corruption is more rampant now then it was before and because of Covid and businesses closing, gambling dens stepped on, and other illegal activities one would see brown envelopes being handed over every Friday night, like the bars in Rawai, money is tight and the police are fighting each other for the last satang they can wring from a stone. Try again Prayut you have failed not only in completing your task of bringing happiness back to the people but also in restoring the countries faith in Government.
Well said.

The reason they covered his head with 2 plastic bags was to protect themselves in case the suspect/victim had covid. Pretty obvious really.

cannot wait to find out how he is going to spin this..

He doesn't need to spin this. Just get the brown envelopes sorted, target a scapegoat, and bail will follow.

I doubt that Joe Ferrari will face justice. Long gone already, together with a bundle of money.

I will take my chances in Thailand. Already 80 years old but ok so far. One thing is for sure, I'm not going back to the UK. I don't like the way most old people are now treated there.

Utterly disgusting, and being seen all over the world. I doubt, however, that the main culprit will face justice. Long gone already I suspect.

The article reports a 90% loss of habitat. Just too many people. It won't be long before there is no wild life anywhere.

Entirely the fault of the Accord driver, however the Civic's rear end was protruding a foot or so across the inner white line of the inside lane.

What a load of waffle. If you live in Thailand don't take anything too seriously, even death.
