True ID has no monthly charge for the basic channels.

premium channels have to be paid for.

Premier League costs 299 Baht a month.

Smart TVs are pretty much useless.

An Android box is far better.

Download Mobdro app. Not perfect but it kind of works.

Free and has all the sport channels.

I had a look at Mobdro and read "Mobdro continuously searches YouTube for the best videos and then provides the users with all the links in just one place." So does it offer anything beyond YT? Because if not why bother? I have YT on my smart TV already and watch flicks, docos, news and other things now.

So it would work with WIFi?

I thought an Android TV wouldn't need smartphone.

You connect the Android smart TV to any wifi, in my case that's the hot spot from my smartphone, which is 10mb speed unlimited data DTAC pre-paid. My laptop, my android TV, and my wife's phone all connect to that hot spot...no problems at all.

A vacc stamp in your passport at the time of vaccination and along with unique traceability with global access could provide the " proof of inoculation " . However one foolproof action could be a finger <deleted> blood test at the point of departure  ( 30 minute turnaround ) coupled with passport info  .Gotta find a simple solution to open up the world soon . Global economies may be able to borrow their way out of this mess in the short time but any prolonged event could end up with daily living ,working routines , recreation activities and entertainment venues  to be ways of the past .

For now proof of vaccination + a PCR test not less than 72 hours before departure, is as good as it's gonna get. If every single human being on the plane and at all airports has been vaccinated and tested, then that's as safe as anyone can expect. The chances of being infected are so miniscule. International travel and tourism businesses should open up again under those conditions.

Some countries are opposed to 'Vaccine' passport - No support in USA and  Canada  PM Trudeau already say he opposes because it is discriminatory. 2 countries who have mismanaged their pandemic response, so I am not surprised.

What do you mean, not "getting their share"?  These countries had every opportunity to make pre-orders for vaccine like other countries did. Oxford vaccine is a cheap as it gets and India will be manufacturing for the poor countries. How many of these countries put up some money to prepare? Instead of building up armies and looting their treasuries, they could have invested a small sum in  preparation or at least reserving/ordering vaccine for health care workers. What's not right is trying to blame others for selfish mismanagement.

I read that Thailand has been offered the license for AZ and Thailand has an excellent producing facility and Oxford suggested that Thailand has the capabilities to produce enough vaccine for their own needs and could also supply some of the neighboring countries with the AZ. Whether Thailand gives a rats about helping out Burma, Lao, Cambodia is another thing altogether.

    Covid positive in OCT 2020

4 Covid neg tests since then

    2 Vaccine injections (MOD)

I have yet to see any local or international travel restrictions relaxed on my behalf.  However, I am anxiously awaiting any progress on it.  If and when that evolves, I am somewhat intrigued has how it will be administered.  Certainly a local immunization card won't be accepted.

You're one of the first, many will follow in the months ahead and then more attention to details will be done on the international travel restrictions for vaccinated people...it'll come soon. As already discussed in this thread a likely way to provide proof is for hospitals/doctors to add a persons vaccination record to their immigration files online, or PP chips. That will prevent the use of fake documents (like Khao San Road covid vax certificates) So when checking in at airports your covid vax details are there for check in and Imm staff to access and confirm. In many countries there could also be photo ID cards. When I did my Thai DL a couple years ago, they had a big printing machine in the office, they took my photo and a couple minutes later a card came out with my photo, and assorted details printed on it.

I don't think that governments have really thought things through, as regards vaccinations and travellers.

Right now, millions of people are receiving a Covid-19 vaccine, which IMHO, is a great idea.

But where's the proof of that vaccination?  Where is the internationally-recognised Covid passport?  As far as I know, many people are receiving the vaccination and given no proof whatsoever that they have received this, apart from an entry in their hospital records.  Others are given a scrap of paper in whatever format the hospital sees fit.

The lack of global standardisation in proof of vaccination is going to create huge issues for travellers => how to proof you've received a vaccination, how to reassure others that your scrap of paper is not fake etc etc.

It's not going to be a scrap of paper. At the present time mass vaccination hasn't started, so far it's only been some aged people and health care workers in a handful of countries, and so far no demand for proof of vax from these people. But when mass vax programs kick in and the demand for proof increases there are hospital/doctor's records of who has been vaccinated. This information can be added of E-passorts, people can be issued  with photo ID cards, info can be stored online just like visas are. My TGF gets approved for a visitor visa for Australia and it's all online. All her personal info, visa details & conditions, all there online for airport officials to scrutinize.

  7. Going to be 100% certainty after mass vaccination kicks in and the demand for international travel rises. We'll need proof of vax to enter airports, board planes, and enter other countries. People will also need to provide proof of vax when applying for many jobs. Could also see it a requirement for entering sports stadiums, concerts/theaters, large pubs/clubs. And it's going to be a requirement for foreigners to enter Thailand and renew visas to remain in Thailand...no doubt about that one.

Same here, I live in Ubon, and there are farm fields directly behind my town. The charcoal burning makes me retch and puke sometimes, it gets that bad.

I breathed some directly in a couple weeks ago, about 100 meters from my home, that stench was in my mouth and nose. I tore home and washed my face, brushed my teeth, rinsed with mouthwash, and sucked a couple of lozenges. I didn't completely get rid of the taste and smell but it was more bearable. How can they stand around those fires breathing that <deleted>?

  9. Terrible where I'm living, out in the sticks of rural Korat, what with farmers burning their fields and every local making charcoal, plus the usual burning of trash & plastic. That charcoal burning smells worse....vile stuff, if I walk past one of those fires and the smoke gets in my mouth it's terrible taste, takes hours to get rid of it, yet I see Thais standing around those fires happy as old Larry, breathing in that vile stinking smoke.
