Clearly,
his hand has been forced
Let's not judge him, he simply may not know what is really going on
it wouldnt be the first time the guy at the top was screwed over by underlings
et tu Brute?
I agree with this. The general may be placing too much trust in his countrymen & police force thro his own personal nationally controlled ideas. Don't forget that he is also a victim of this system.

Yipeeeeee, 9 days no school, where shall we go and have a fight lads?
When there are so many of you TEFL English teachers... How is it this country can't speak English for toffee?
This is a so called TROLL post ! totally off-topic and offending people !
Didn't mean to offend, post was entirely on topic actually, classes on reading & understanding English available at your local TEFL outlet.
Thanks.

how is the mistreatment of Burmese nationals the remit of uk police?
Because thailand made the mistake of joining the United Nations.

I only hope that we can field some officers with a working knowledge of Thai and Burmese languages. I also worry that the Burmese accused will have already been threatened with the consequences of speaking honestly to UK police. If they need interpreters then these should not be provided by the RTP and all translated conversations should be recorded to verify accuracy after the event. Another worry is that they will find the evidence so tainted that it can prove nothing one way or the other.
It's not possible to taint the DNA evidence already obtained in the UK or the DNA of the accused so at the very least we should be able to save these 2 burmese kids.

I know which one I believe http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-29668785
After a one to one meeting with Cameron, in Italy the Thai PM Prayuth has agreed for the British Police to assist. The main area of focus according to the UK is to independently verify the DNA of the suspects
Crumbled in the presence of real leadership.

The Cameron bashing only comes from labour preferring 'British red shirts' too.
We get it, you're labour voting working class & proud of it, get over it.
Actually I helped vote Cameron in.
But 2 years ago defected my allegiance over to.
The first and only political party I have ever made a cash donation to in my life.
Wasn't really referring to you, more to other prolific Cameron bashers, just struck me at the time

I think people should be very careful of posting too much information on this open forum- this may be prejudicial to a real court case; the last thing that everyone wants is that the real killers can wriggle out on a legal technicality if they do finally get arrested.
You are right, but wrong at the same time.... good point, but way too much is at stake.... Two more people could die over this..... they need catching quick.... especially since the uk is now involved
If you are convinced of what you are writing, send the details and mark them Urgent. You have the PM. Easy enough to send via the TOR Browser if you would like to protect your identity.
Idd. 5 minutes to set up an anonymous email address, 5 minutes to download the TOR browser (Google it) Send what you like to any major organisation involved. British police/government/foreign office, Amnesty International etc.
Like ^ he said, mark it urgent.

I don't agree with all the Kent bashing. Part of his job is to know the national customs, preferences & perceptions inside out & part of the national preference in thailand is that foreigners should kow-tow to their kind hosts.
He knows what he's doing.

I don't think the thai police have the brains to play this game with the British. They will shoot themselves in the foot with every answer they give, every excuse/piece of evidence they produce & they won't even know they've done it until the British inquest is complete.

Here's a suggestion to reduce the clutter on all these threads. Can we agree to just ignore jdinasia. johnthailandjohn et al. Let them speak freely of course as they will undoubtedly keep defending the "authorities" in this appalling case no matter how many holes are revealed and blunders and ridiculous statements made. But is it really necessary to respond to them in every instance?
Just click your name at the top of the forum & click 'Manage Ignore Prefs'. My life's better already

Europe have already cut high level diplomatic relations with thailand & I believe the whole Idea behind allowing the self declared PM to attend was so that he could be shown first hand Europe's disapproval. I have yet to see a photo of ANY European leaders shaking his hand, just Asians.
Went completely over his head it seems.

Governments negotiating with 'Loan Sharks'???
What planet does this country live on?
Negotiations, what about a proper investigation into his loansharking activities ?
However he's written off the debt as ' merit making ' so that's all good then.
Idd. You might be excused for thinking that a 'Loan Shark' may have been paying a cut to the local police for a long time in this perfect country.

All things being fair... Which of course is not possible here yet.
What the new administration should be doing is campaigning for new recruits direct from school, offering competitive salaries & benefits to create a new breed of officer with morals & standards.
Slowly slowly of course because the country can't survive without it's current mafia based force but...
Thailand's number one problem is it's current RTP.

& they voted already.. twice.
Fact!
Any yellow shirt 'democracy' (Sic.) sympathisers here are in fact communists whether they're aware of it or not.
Most I think are just ignorant farangs listening to their yellow shirt girlfriends/wives/friends/masters.
