Thailand aims to lower road fatality rates by 80%"
Absolutely impossible!
If the deaths are not reported , then you can get 80% reduction without effort

Yes at least I would say more than 30,000 countrywide after looking around the neighborhood. They are here today gone tomorrow. I have a motto when shopping if I see something I might need in the close future I buy it as when the time comes that I need it they are long gone. We are drowning in hairdressers and massage parlors right now. Coffee shops a close second. Price of a haircut has doubled in the last few years. And 20,000 business are expected to go bust by the year 2018... so where in the news here?
by the way, how dose any one know what business will start up in the next 3 years? crystal
ball gazing again?
You completely forgot LADIES DRESS SHOPS and of course roadside dress stalls. Knee deep in MAE SAI . My G/F always trying to drag me into one. Too many shops for each to make a living.

Now being reported as a Russian plane and Russia are claiming it was flying over Syria when shot down. Both pilots are OK.
Turkey will no doubt be looking to NATO for support now.
Turkey not be in NATO they are just a bunch of trouble makers,eg North Cyprus. And to think they are hopeful of being a member of EU.It would be crazy to defend the likes of Turkey against the Russians.WW3..The end of the human race and lots more extinctions. Will the leaders of the West really defend Turkey...SHEER MADNESS

No flying objects within 8-km radius of Suvarnabhumi airport on Loy Krathong day

Maybe you want real antiques. Not available in Thailand. Lots of Budhist statues. Try Rome or Athens.LOL
-
Clearly: "William Randolph Hearst syndrome"
To really impress Thai Folks, erect plenty of Buddha statues in combination with 17 little "Ghost Houses" in your front yard. That will make you an "Important Person" in Thailand. Forget about the Greeks and the Romans.
Cheers.
Exactly the kind of input the OP was hoping to get to his ligitimate question.
Not judgemental at all!
It's people like you who make Thaivisa what it has becoe.
Too bad.
I take it, you are also in the process of accumulating Greek Plastic Statues, made in Thailand. That makes already 2 of you.
FYI: In tourist hubs, there are a number of excellent psychiatric clinics.
Cheers.
As there should be.
I stay away from tourist areas and tourist as well..
Both are crazy and depressing.
Also, I have no statues or colums.
I was just being helpful to someone who requested help when I refered hin to a place that sells them.
Being helpful...
Isn't that what forums are about?

And Mcdonald's is not linked to burgers, somtam not linked to spicy food and and and....lol. Talk about head in the sand.
You believe the Southern Muslims are affiliated or connected in some way with ISIS?
What makes you think that? Or is it just tarring every Muslim with the same brush?
The Southern insurgency has got NOTHING to do with jihad or Islamic ideology.
ISIS must be in the South of Thailand. Too good an oportunity to be missed . Who bombed in Bangkok . You think nothing to do with the South . You are dreaming my friend

Currently, according to the Australian government information, there approx.. 110 " Aussies " fighting
with ISIS in Syria and another 190 men known as active ISIS supporters and activists in Australia
championing the terrorist cause... so bring more 'refugees' in why don't you Australia?
what the worst that can happened? more ISIS sympathizers and supporters, more discontent
and resentment for the Australian society and all in the name of being liberal, bleeding hearts PC
nation....
You do realise that not all syrians are members of isis dont you? Thats why they are refugees, because of isis. They are not isis supporters.
Care to provide a link to show the regugees that australia have taken are not really refugees? Thought not.
Well maybe some of them are not refugees. For sure some are future trouble.

I know that the Americans make some of the best airliners ever. They should have more skills than the Aussies . I would be suprised if The Thais do not get downgraded ,. So what is being done to check the DOMESTIC flights ?

"Usually people who did nothing wrong would not try to run away at the sight of police, he said.
"Anyway, I will ensure justice for both sides."
Your previous sentence would seem to contradict that position.
However, that said, two people on a bike fleeing the police would seem to be a dangerous thing to do.
Ha ,so who says they were fleeing the police ? Who says they had drugs for sale on them? The police of course... Could the police say they were innocent , ie no drugs ? Of course not.. Are thai police corrupt. Well dont ask a policeman

Yup, had to close the windows in the condo today and get out the cat sweaters to lure the cats out from under the table lamps when it got light enough in the morning that we wanted to turn off the lamps. The kitten (now nearly grown) had never worn a cat sweater and had her doubts, but when she saw the enthusiastic response of the big guy, she decided she'd stop trying wriggle out of it.
Right now Hubby is taking his pre-dinner nap and both cats are under the covers, capturing body his body heat.
It sure is rough on the pets when it gets below 22 deg C!
I doubt your cats suffer. They just curl the tail around and snooze.
Cats have fur coats. 20 .c. is a pleasant temperature for a cat. £0 c. is far too hot. In uk i have never seen a cat in a jacket. What a load of nonsense .

I keep several thousand dollars worth of Baht in a Thai bank. I read that 80 % of Thais have bank debts that they may not be able to repay. Could tis lead to a situation that the banks would stop ATM withdrawals? Advice please

I have known many people who regretted they had one, and wanted it reversed. I don't know anyone who regretted they didn't have one.
I know quite a few. Men who foolishly left it to the woman to "take care" of preventing pregnancy, and she either did not share the wish to avoid pregnancy or just wasn't very reliable.
I trusted my UK wife and had 3 children . I decided to have the snip and do not regret it 20 years later . Now have Burmese wife in Thailand and not suckered into having another child. Faithful wife is important , no sexually transmitted problems

as our boy sleeps indoors at night that is fine, but some of the day he likes to sleep under the marble table and benches outside, its where the mossie's like to hide,we used to light a coil at each end but the dog hated the smoke.so we bought 2 of those electric mossie burners with the floresant tubes.500bht.each.
do they work just have a look at the tray at the btm.enough to feed a tank full of fish.
we also leave one on in the kitchen overnight, not only kills any mossies but all those little black fkers that like to bite.
I've tried the blue light zapper but it didn't seem to attract mozzies.
Other insects that are no bother to us were attracted, and killed indiscriminately.
And then our Geckos went hungry!
electric floresant tubes attract all biting insects, but they must be the ONLY LIGHT at night. NO GOOD IN DAYLIGHT. safe to use in a bedroom and give a useful night light.
