How many days has it been since you submitted and got the 'submission accepted' mail?

Recently, my experience waiting for APPROVED or REJECTED with CW is about 3-4 days. The immigration office was closed during the APEC conference, three working days I believe, so there is  likely a healthy backlog of submissions to clear. So that would probably add a few more days before you'd hear back.

And yes, as UJ said, you have time enough to submit one again.

The acceptance email was almost immediate.

  3. I can't help RE:AC units but I can say that maintaining chemistry at 20°C 24-7 isn't necessary.  Last darkroom was in Chicago and temps varied widely there, and I only worried about closing the door off from the heat source in winter and possibly freezing them.  I set up 3 different darkrooms in Chicago so that I could do conventional B&W as well as historical processes.  Cooler is certainly better but 27 should be OK long term.

That said, even dry chemistry will go bad fast here.  I shipped my darkroom from the US here and lots of chemistry went bad just sitting in a cabinet  Ferric ammonium citrate turned to goo, etc etc.  I'd rec a fridge or some such for paper and dry chemistry at least.  As I sold off my darkroom kit here, I asked the Thai photogs buying from me what they did to keep paper stable and they said refrigerators. Keeping an AC running 24-7 in the darkroom would be darn expensive.

I have no real-world experience setting up OR using a darkroom here, but heat and humidity here are a beast for chemistry, film, and paper.

  4. Just inherited a 160cm long deep freezer and of course the cord is short.  Of course the cord is at the opposite end of the freezer from the outlet.  Wondering if there are short 3 prong heavy duty extension cords that are SAFE to use for this.  In the US they were typically used for window air conditioners.

I have the feeling there is no safe way given this info i googled from USA site.

"If you're planning on using an extension cord for your freezer, it's important to know at the outset that no safety agency or electrical association recommends using it permanently. The National Electrical Code and the National Fire Protection Association expressly prohibit it. Mike Holt advises that you'll find the prohibition elucidated in Article 400 of the NEC, and it's also in Section 11.1.5 of the NFPA Fire Code."

    https://www.hunker.com/13408402/how-to-use-an-extension-cord-for-freezers

Because of the low amperage, (1.8) I wonder if the above would not apply, or if I'm just dreaming and will have to call in an electrician.  There are a couple of junction boxes within reach of the freezer cord, but I don't know what is running off those wires.  Most likely it will be the stove and the 2nd box may be the dishwasher.

I've google translated the info on the back of the freezer and included the original shot here in case google got it wrong.

    Thanks for any help!

the FILM code notch PDF (your attachment) is a very useful reference too, thanks and I forget all about these ????

I am looking for indeed the FRAME NOTCH on different medium format cameras. on the internet there are many FRAMES available as a graphic overlay, but they don't refer to any of the camera brand.

    cheers . . .

W/Hasselblad they came w/whatever notches they came with from the factory and some photogs might have added their own so they knew which back shot what.  Not sure if there ever was any standardisation of any brand, make, or model.

  7. Notch is what I call it, not unlike the code notches you find on large format film like 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 sizes for example.  Seems to follow that these would be referred to as notches.

they call it NOTCH ?  with this as the search word, I cannot find the collection of notch on other cameras. I 'had' a photographic book in those dates that listed out all varieties of notch on the different brands. but I cannot find this book anymore.

my father-in-law has some very old 120 pictures that still print with the notch on the paper. I try to help him remembering what cameras he used for those pictures.

    thanks . . .

It was not earthed properly...by wearing the slippers you where like a bird on a wire.

More overreactions   they should just specify that products like these  be used with a ELCB   A.K.A

an earth leakage circuit breaker  even better the ELCB should be built into the product or the power cable/plug.

ELCB should be used for any mains voltage appliance used outdoors or in a wet/damp environment.

That is correct which is one thing we fixed and insisted upon when the sparky was working here.  Had a Safety Cut on the mains already.

  9. My chilies look as bad or worse lol

Using this site as a guide, the recommended NPK is 10-10-10.  I haven't found that specific one but probably better than nothing.  I've only found NPK 10-4-36 in organic form here via lazada.

That said, up till now I've amended the store-bought soil from bags with compost, sand, coffee, (low ph in my soil) banana peels, coconut shells, eggshells (calcium) and OD-EM and my growth is pathetic with every chili I've tried from jalapenos to ghosts to reapers to habeneros.

One Thai chili growing group told me to get them out of the sun as it's too hot here, so they're in the shade for past few days.  Mine were getting 3 hrs or so a day of sun.  I live in BKK.

Another thought is making new soils as per this video.  I just use lazada for searches for products as it'd be a waste of time searching nurseries here for what you need.
