  1. Come on...I've seen plenty of cars wrapped around trees...driver young, white, drunk

Offcourse you see that kind off things everywhere, but worse as in Thailand, i have never seen before.

In Holland there are living 16 million people and every year 570 killed in traffic.

Here it is not only the irresponsible or drunk driver. It's also the quality of the roads.

I am living in a industrial area full of trucks. They destroy all roads. Very often you can not speak of a road anymore, but a little bit of road between all the holes. In between the trucks there are cars and motornikes pushed away by crazy truckdrivers who know that the others are at risk so they drive ass hell.

  2. this is a area that is filled with houses, motorbikes, companies and bad trucks and some road at the holes.

We asked anybody we know. Nobody is interrested but anybody can tell us that people might do it for 15k bht p/m.

But.... thrue a adverisement, we met a woman from the Phillipines. tomorrow we have a talk with her.

  3. Do you live in a village? If so, we've had good luck asking around with the other maids in the village....or asking the manager. We've noticed prices are going up if you want quality. English speaking is very difficult...and potentially more money. I've heard of Philippine helpers going for about 12-15k/month.

    Thanks for your advise.

Yes we live in an village and asked around.

It's a factory area and nobody seems to be interrested.

  4. Thanks many of you for your replys.

When i would stay at home with the children, we dont have any transport because my wife is using the car in daytime.

And yes she dus not know very well what to do with the children as many other Thai parents.

One of the reasons is that she let them live in up country and has not so many skills for that.

The children only speak a few words English an i dont speak Thai.

Some suggest to just let them play games whole day.

I see many Thai teenagers still doing it when they are at the job, or some funny gay suggest "let them sell roses on the street"

Because i feel a responsabillety for their future, i am looking something that makes sense for them.

  5. This week is a 3-week holiday? How can be?

Siracha...hmmm...there's that Tiger Zoo thingy....I think there is some real live playful Tigers I think at the zoo you could leave them with......

I am only replying in jest of course because you are asking an impossible question. 6 and 7 year olds are useless so how can they do something useful? Am I right? Trick question for the TV viewers?

Your post is riddled with these "impossibilities"......

    djhotsox, you are really funny.

How can you say 6 and 7 years ols children are useless. Ask yourself the same quiestion about adults.

  6. window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());

Are you a masochist or just looking for an early demise?
    Good luck.

    Are they mutually exclusive?

The biggest drawback of living in Jomtien culinary wise is that there are no Japanese restaurants.

If you want to go to an exellent Japanese restaurant, go to Sriracha. A new Japanese called Shokudou. Look it up on tripadviser. You will be surprised. Its the best Japanese i visit untill now in Thailand.Ohana

  7. My Thai wife gas two children. This week they have a holliday for three weeks.

    I live close to Sriracha.

Dus anyone have any suggestions where the children could stay during that time and do something usefull.

Thay are 6 and 7 years old.

It is really complicated to have them at home all that time course of the bussiness of my wife

The only option i found is nursery where they let children play a whole day games to keep them quiet and do nothing else.

    Suggestions are very welcome.
