So where can you get the application
and are non thai nationals able to do
Yes, non nationals can and are encouraged to do so, you cannot enter most malls
without registering.
It isn't a perfect system and I'm sure many people here will pick holes in it, but
if it can identify and contact people who may well have contacted covid positive
folk, then that can only be a good thing.

Brads? I thought the default name here was Somchai!!
Not that there's anything wrong with that........

If they do not want tourists gathering in groups and maybe passing on the virus, open the airports and borders so they can leave, or do they want these tourists trapped spending money.
The airports are open for departures, not sure about land borders, but there is nothing stopping
you leaving if you really want to.....

If you don't test people, you don't get the correct information !
Do you have the correct information? How many new infections have you
recorded, how can you possibly know how many people have been tested?
I don't know the answers either, but haven't heard officially, or unofficially,
of mass outbreaks and deaths, but then again, I'm not as well informed as you.

Thailand does not need any help from foreigners in trashing the image of Thailand, as the Thai hoodlums do a good enough job of it. What a bunch of FAss Holes....
This article will only be read by a couple of hundred elderly men. They/we already
have an opinion on Thailand and very much doubt such news will change that.
Therefore the image of Thailand will remain much the same.

This is incredible, the Thais have hotels and army accommodation set aside for all
people entering the country for a compulsory 14 day quarantine, none of this send
people home to self isolate and, if it's not too much trouble to let the authorities
know if you're feeling a bit under the weather.
I sometimes wonder if there is a deliberate policy of incompetence from the ministry of
duck tripping. I would love to know how the scientists, whose advice the government
is following, come up with this stuff. When the people from the cruise ships were
repatriated they were sent to a hospital in Merseyside en masse and properly monitored.
It seems that as the situation has worsened the less they do.

I've seen a few big names. Fleetwood Mac (mkII) Deep purple, Black Sabbath, the
a few months later Ozzy Osbourne after he left, oddly the set was pretty much the
same, both at the Hammersmith odeon.
I saw Prince doing the purple rain tour at the Wembley arena 6 nights in a row
as I had an evening job selling hotdogs in the place.
Went to Berlin in 1990 to see the Roger Waters and guests doing the wall.
Oddly enough, one of the best gigs I saw was an Aussie band , Mental as anything,
at Brunel university in Uxbridge. They put on a great set, had huge energy and
interracted with the crowd really well. Just a surprisingly good night out.

Goodness no, OP. I feel much more liberated here in Thailand than I would be in the UK, which sounds like a nightmare. the UK Police have gone all Gestapo and make the BiB look measured and sensible, which as we all know, takes a bit of doing. No way do I want to go back; ever.
Do you have any examples of the police going all Gestapo?

He does come across as a smart politician, with some pretty good pr skills, and the media mob behind him. But, if you think Cuomo did a good job during the crisis, what can you say about Desantis from FL...who comes from the other side, and an even larger state, with many more senior citizens...One is a success story, the other is a catastrophe of biblical proportions. But, if you only want to compare him to Deblasio, then yes, he is presidential material.
I don't want to get involved in politicians, dead or alive, but the population density
disparities between Florida and New York City probably have more to do with the
success/failure rates of any plans to combat the virus.

Was never in here but they seemed to have a simple, well executed business model. Chicken dinner 139 baht etc.
Was meant to be decent and good quality.
If they can't make a go of it, i wonder who can.
Really sad, many people who have been ex pats for years with their savings and hopes invested in a business.z
Will be like the property market in 2008 in the UK. One minute buoyant, six months later having to sell at a 50% discount.
That was in the suburban UK.
Even those with funny money may not want to catch a falling knife.
They will be selling property by the block.
The property market never collapsed like that in 2008, even in the early nineties with
15% interest rates the prices didn't fall by 50%.
*The crazy asking price may have been adjusted, people had ridiculous expectations
before the banking crash, but what you ask for and what you get are 2 different matters.

Your accusation's mirror the opposition party narrative!
Was it Faucci who suggested injecting disinfectant and shining lights into the lungs?

Tourist police to the rescue - British pensioner has no relatives left and owed 17,000 baht to the hospital
in Central Thailand
The fact that it appears that the police were willing to assist his return to Chon buri
and don't seem to have taken further action suggests to me he may well have the money.
Maybe under a mattress or in a safe, who knows, perhaps the cash is in a bank and
his book is at home. He probably wasn't contemplating a 4 day hospital visit when
he set out, sadly at his age, sudden illnesses can occur without warning.
