  1. Get that DNA verified

Heres another family whos son was killed on KT earlier this year while on holiday with his family for crissake, I say killed because ... well you can read yourself.

    http://1clicknews.com/thailand-beach-death-parents-convinced-son-murdered-and-his-killing-covered-up-to-protect-tourism/

Im beginning to think theres possibly a serial killer on the loose somewhere on KT

These kids and thier families deserve Justice

Just how many people have died in the last few years, or raped ? someone should look at the numbers there should be a real full investigation into KT AND the other Islands, this is beginning to stink to high heaven

Just how many people have died in the last few years, or raped ? someone should look at the numbers there should be a real full investigation into KT AND the other Islands, this is beginning to stink to high heaven

A big international investigation needs to be started.

I also actually think there is at least one serial killer circulating around Samui KPN and KT. It's the perfect environment.

A local in KPN told me in so many words(heavy hints, not a full-on declaration) that the two fisherman who got the death sentence(commuted a few months later after media spotlight had moved on into life sentences-funny that!?) for the rape and murder of that poor young woman on the beach in koh samui in 2006 either were not the guilty ones or that they were not all of the guilty ones. He spoke fearfully of "very very bad men" who hang on certain boats and at certain bars but no names given. He only told me cos he was warning me someone I care about had been "identified" by these men. As if they were just waiting and looking out for for an opportunity. This person I care about did fit a certain western archetype...

He was warning me off going to a certain place on a certain night.I thank him almightily for that.He was kind and caring...and terrified. As was I at the time...terrified that is.

Wanted to tell someone what I'd half been told but I couldn't work out how to or who to tell-certainly not the local police...

Hell, people are doing crack and heroin. I saw it when I was there. After the bar officially closes for the night and the mainstream short stayers have gone to bed.I saw addicted westerners come over to take advantage of this lawlessness and the cheap heroin. If you aren't off your head and you go to a party you see these gangster types on the edges, watching like goblins. This is a different underworld than even the obvious carnage of full moon parties. I sensed the presence of an underworld beneath the visible one.

Yes i think there is /are serial killer/s there for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And for that matter they are also in Nepal and India and anywhere you can go and blend in and be anonymous and be "forgotten" and be just another strange traveller where you can get away with noone knowing where you've been or what you've done.

I'm not saying it's all bars or all people but it is a pernicious narrow and deep vein of horror and it's there. And it's as much a scourge and a curse for the overwhelming majority of local thais as it is for tourists who fall foul of such people.

I'm really sorry if the mother of that young woman reads this.i feel for her loss. I sincerely hope change will happen that will minimise the chance of this happening again and again and again and again.

YES-verify the DNA!!!!!!!!! learn how to bloody well be police using forensics and actual investigating and may this be the last tragedy that is mishandled and the last time people's loved ones are not afforded the basic human respect of a genuine attempt at justice!!!

    Here endeth my rant.

    Rest In Peace.

"For evil to exist all that is necessary is for good people to do nothing." And this is the case whenever and wherever horrific things happen anywhere in the world.

  2. you expect Sean to come on here , internet and media? Would you? I certainly wouldnt, i would tell the UK police all i know and let them sort it out

He ( nor any witnesses who have left the island) will not have been in touch with the RTP after leaving Thailand due to not trusting them but

theres no doubt that he ( nor any witnesses who have left the island) will have been in touch with the UK police

Thing with the UK police is that they dont spout any evidence off at all and tell all them who have give evidence not to repeat to anyone else at all

As this unfolds we will hear more later if the witness statements {UK} dont match any evidence that the RTP are putting out

Thats why we havent heard from Sean and Hannah / David s co travellers etc

Sean, is reading these threads, and he is also growing increasingly nervous as the enormity of what he was a party too, weighs on him,

he knows it is only a matter of time, until it is found, that his sperm was involved as well,

    Sean,

    I know you,

you may think you are Jack Sparrow,

you may think you were Jack be nimble,

    you in the end,

    you will confess, because,

it is eating you that your friend died, isn't it Sean

Pretty brave post Steve, you seem pretty sure. I guess you guys were not friends from the way you talk?

Thought the samples were all confirmed as Asian?

Find Sean and you can solve all this ..... Everyone on KT that knew Sean knows it , so do the 2 thugs who threatened him , coz they were panicking he'd talk , his guitar got splattered in blood coz he was there , probably sitting beside David when these perps hit David from behind then laid him out and turned on Hannah , sean picked up a nick and fled at some time but he knows who was there and who is truly responsible , like most of everyone else that knows anything about Thailand or KT .

apparently Sean says not if you go to the comment he left an hour ago on his soundcloud account :

"Sean Hayes McAnna says at 0:01:

To everyone commenting. I never said I knew the killers. I said that if I died that night it was the guy from in touch who "did it". anybody with half a brain knows it would always be blamed on Burmese. I'm gutted for everyone involved, but there's really nothing I can do. I'm sorry the newspapers lied to you. Believe me, they lied about a lot of things. They just like a story."

  3. Sean Mcanna has actually replied to some people on soundcloud saying:

Sean Hayes McAnna says at 0:01:

To everyone commenting. I never said I knew the killers. I said that if I died that night it was the guy from in touch who "did it". anybody with half a brain knows it would always be blamed on Burmese. We all want to know why the guy from intouch was threatening him?

What was Sean saying and who was he accusing to rouse the anger of these Intouch people?

"believe me, they lied about alot of things"

like What exactly Sean? Please clarify, for heaven's sake.......

  4. Such timing after wide reporting like this:

" Zaw Lin and Win Zaw Htun the two migrant workers accused murdering two British tourists were reported to have retracted their confessions, as Thai prosecutors rejected a police report into the killings claiming it lacked “crucial information” and a leading forensic expert said the investigation “contradicted the principles of forensic science”."

  5. reading that the suspects are on suicide watch from other inmates!

<deleted>??? They're keeping them with other inmates?? I can't say what I want to say for fear of a defamation suit!

Prison Chief Fears Koh Tao Suspects May Commit Suicide

SURAT THANI — The two Burmese men who were accused of murdering two British tourists in southern Thailand last month are being monitored to prevent possible suicide attempts, says the director of the prison where they are being held.

"I have instructed other inmates to monitor the two Burmese men. I am afraid they may commit suicide, because they show signs of stress," said Chanin Liangsuwan, chief of Koh Samui District Prison. "They may be feeling guilty for the crime they have done."

According to Chanin, the two suspects are being held in a general holding cell with other inmates, but he stressed that wardens are doing their best to keep the suspects under watch.

I want to comment but can't find the words.

I really hope this isn't another bit of "clairvoyant" police reporting like when they said "we think we will have arrests within the next 2-3 days" and then whaddayaknow-they did.

    Scene-setting.

Btw-most media reports uk and elsewhere I have read today state the 3rd suspect now openly denies his friends were involved at all, that he had a few drinks with them, he went to his girlfriends, while the two stayed out and kept drinking. When 3rd suspect came home the two were sleeping soundly in bed at 5am. No signs of violent crime having been committed....

Plus wide reporting that police did not employ a forensics medical specialist AT ALL.

  6. Good question. Nobody is here to accuse him of anything, but ask him to tell the whole world the truth, the real truth . Everybody wants to hear his story what happened that night. People believe he must know something. But until now no statement from Sean has been made.

If he played a role in the gang rape and/or murder, then I doubt he is going to say anything.

But he does have time to write two new songs 4 days ago. See my above post on this page.#432

Did he write or just upload the songs for 4 days ago ?

All that is clear is that they were uploaded 4 days ago.

  7. Not making any conclusions, but where does Sean McAnna fit in all of this? Is anything he said true? If not, why did he do that? 15 minutes of fame seems a long shot, but stranger things have happened.

  8. Sean Mcanna is alive with time on his hands to write songs. He uploaded two new songs to his soundcloud four days ago: "Johnny" and "wrong leg, right wing"

People are adding comments to these songs on soundcloud, urging him to issue a full statement.I urge others to do the same thing.

    https://soundcloud.com/seanmcanna

    Does he know anything?

Please Sean. Stop being cryptic and illusive and release a full statement about what you know/or don't know.

(And please god speak up about the case or it will just look like you are cynically exploiting the current public interest in you to promote your music)

  10. Why is the British Government so queit ?

I reckon that's the "diplomatic" way of working out what the hell to do, particularly when Thai police are lying about you having given your approval to their bungled investigation:

    1. Much speculation about UK views on Koh Tao investigation.UK has good relationship w Thai Police, but I have not commented on investigation

    2. @KentBKK So you didn't praise police in solving the case & say they showed "exemplary professionalism" as reported http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/three-migrant-workers-confess-rape-murder-british-tourists/

  11. If he feels there is a need to explain the situation it means that there are still problems related to this fiasco.

Based on some recent undiplomatic comments it would be better to say nothing but it is unlikely he can do that particularly if pressed and baited by foreign media.

He may be on relatively safe ground in Myanmar as the govt there knows all about oppression and abuse of human rights and they may also keep the international media at bay.

The problems might really arise when he arrives for the conference in Milan.

What is his appointment in Milan?

I read after Sean Mcanna's outburst and escape that Sean was heading to Italy to see his girlfriend. He's either still in Italy or hiding out somewhere in UK.

Could they perhaps "bump into each other" ?

  12. Dear jdinasia,

    Do you have children?

    Are you someone's child??

Would you look into the eyes of someone who is bereaved and lost their family in an outrageously brutal way and mock the compassion and support and demands for justice that surround them in the form of this petition?

Well that IS what you are doing. I don't want to feed your sadistic fire but your attitude disgusts me.

Now on my ignore list. That feels sooooo much better.

Rest In Peace David and Hannah.

  13. The Independent newspaper is leading their story with:-

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/thailand-murders-amnesty-demands-inquiry-into-allegations-of-torture-of-suspects-9780876.html

"Amnesty International is urging the Thai junta to conduct an independent investigation into allegations that two Burmese workers who “confessed” to the murders of two British backpackers did so under duress and torture."

"Richard Bennett, Amnesty International’s Asia-Pacific Programme Director, said: “The Thai authorities must initiate an independent, effective and transparent investigation into mounting allegations of torture and other ill-treatment by police."

Bring it on!!!!!! These voices will keep shouting for the truth.

  14. Keep 'em coming UK media:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2783749/Were-Burmese-migrants-tortured-confessing-murder-British-tourists-Thailand-Police-chief-defends-arrests-duo-denies-admitted-crimes-duress.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

The Daily Mail is the most visited English-language newspaper website in the world.

"'I insist that all officials in this case have done a good job. A perfect job,' the national police chief told a news conference in Bangkok.

But a lawyer contracted by Myanmar's embassy in Thailand to defend the suspects said the case was a 'set-up and not based on hard facts', according to the Democratic Voice of Burma, an independent Myanmar news organisation based in Norway."

    And from the Independent

    Amnesty International are ON IT.

  16. Going global!

    YES!!

Just published on UK ITV news:-

    http://www.itv.com/news/update/2014-10-07/burmese-murder-suspects-in-british-tourist-killings-say-they-were-beaten/

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL have just issued this statement:-

""The pressure to be seen to be solving an appalling crime that has garnered considerable attention should not result in the violation of rights, including to a fair trial."

  17. I think Sean has crucial information and whatever his reason for not speaking up is, it's not a good enough reason.

When the news of his previous conviction came out his sister spoke up, defending him in the comments below the article as having been downloaded accidentally. She said he had not intentionally sought these images and that he had never viewed them and had deleted them immediately. She said court records showed this was the case, however, downloading child abuse images is illegal in the UK whether or not you did it on purpose or by accident. He was sentenced to 100 odd hours of community service and did not serve a prison sentence in light of the fact he did not view the images and it was his first and only offence.

I don't think his past has any bearing on whether or not he has the courage to give his version of events of that night IMO.

  18. This is building momentum now, the telegraph has written an article now saying that the Burmese guys could ne scapegoats and that the RTP's conduct in the case has been questionable at best.

Keep it going people the petition was at 36000 last time I checked

I contacted Tom Phillips from the Telegraph on Sunday and exchanged a few emails with him. I'm so glad they've published an article, and a very well written one at that. This will put questions into a huge audience here in the UK who may not have been following events. Hopefully other news agencies will follow suit.

    Lausie,

I am all out of likes today but you are utterly brilliant.Good work-well done, I commend you highly!!! Keeping this story hot in the British press is vital right now. The telegraph is well respected and usually other press follows suit. They can not do so quickly enough.

Petition now at 42,000 signatures and as it is mentioned in the telegraph article it can only go up and quickly.

Well done Tom Phillips.Come on UK press, follow his lead, time is of the essence.

    http://www.telegraph...ns-murders.html

    Please share everywhere.

    Thank you!

My hope is that with the world watching, Thailand will be forced to do things correctly lest the entire nation lose face, very very publicly.

It took 20 minutes to blast emails out to a bunch of journalists over the weekend. It's a small token, but could have a huge impact - if you have concerns with how things are being dealt with, I'd encourage you to get in touch with as many as you can. Drawing their attention to the 200,000+ likes the CSI LA page has gained in the last few days might also be useful in demonstrating how much interest in this there is.

Many journalists have contact details on their twitter profiles. Failing that, you can usually submit queries/stories via news agency websites

The Guardian Newspaper UK have followed The Telegraph's lead, posted half and hour ago :-

    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/oct/07/suspects-britons-murder-thailand-police-brutality

"Thai police officers threatened the two suspects with electrocution during a violent interrogation before the pair agreed to admit to killing Hannah Witheridge and David Miller, according to a Burmese embassy lawyer who spoke to the men on Tuesday."

Hopefully more UK press articles on their way-The world IS watching.

  19. That is good then....But what happened to this guy...why was he asked to hang himself by Mon and Mons Copper Friend ??? and why is Mon taken pic of hin in the Minimart ???

YES ! Exactly i have been thinking about this crack head coward too.... I think catweazle ( poster here who knows quite a lot ) can sort this out.

I have a hunch that this crackhead was involved at the beach scuffle but actually wasn't on David's side ( as to been on a serious wacked out bender ) when the AC team turned up ( were actually looking for David ) hell broke loose and he was involved then fled .

I also think the 2 burmese guys were involved, maybe raped Hannah before after post mortem but weren't actually included in the murder .

Just my theory , this F ...%^%^% 8 ....ed oxygen thief low life addict got a warning to leave or else and he did , but for sure hes not innocent .

He needs to be tracked down and seriously interrogated then all will really know what happened.

If i was David's or Hanna's family id be hunting him ! literally

I agree. The Sean guy is somehow involved in this case. If he was not, then he would have spoken out by now.

I agree that Sean clearly has some vital evidence to give.Sean, we're all waiting for you to do the right thing....

I don't agree we can realistically surmise he was not on David's side.

Sean's current and longterm girlfriend is in David Miller's friendlist on facebook.

Sean and David were not just acquaintances.
