  1. read again, geezus, the noise scares them, u don't shock them

REad what again? The tips for the sticks to hit or Pepper spray, Kicking them, electric cattle prod, squirt gun with amonnia, ...????

If someone not hurt them I not speak something but all the other crazy shit, .... make me speakless!!! I hope someone see this bastards and report it to the police!!!

What the most not understand is: "This dogs just protect their place against invaders (you)!!!" Nothing other!!!

If you be nice to they, they would be nice to you!!! Give they a little bit snacks and they want love you!!!

If you be aggressive they do the same!!!

The public road is not "their" place, it is "our" place.

    Geddit?

actually you are incorrect the word public should tell you it belongs to the government who allow the public to use it which means the said public who have dogs are in fact allowed to take there dogs onto the road. Albeit on a lead. Now I have 3 dogs who never get out onto the road but when someone or something comes close to our gate do as I want them to and howl. If I ever saw anyone using a stick or spray or anything against my dogs I would repay the mindless moron double fold.

Dogs inside your gate are one thing. No problem. I'm just passing by. If the barking doesn't bother you and your neighbors, it certainly won't bother me. But if you let your dogs out on the street and they attack passersby, that's something else. If you want to go out on the street and start something yourself because I'm defending myself against your uncurbed animals, why you're welcome to the same treatment they'll get. As many folds as it takes.

    Don't feed the troll

  2. thanks!

No problem, hope they have the right size for you, and you go for it. Would be an awesome build!

That 3XL frame would be a challenge to get rid of anywhere, probably why they haven't sold it yet, you could mount it on the wall in the bath room and use it as a toilet roll holder ;)

  3. The shear arrogance of cyclists all over the world never ceases to amaze and humor me. Is there a chip implant put in to humans when they buy a pedal cycle with tells them they are invincible/rule the road(and pavements when it suits them)are in fact a law unto themselves????. Now here it seems they belive they have a divine right to whip/stick/tazer/spray/kick or otherwise abuse the local dog population. (It's only a matter of time when human pedestrians who use there pavements come in for the same treatment
If you think that any dog that tries to attack me will get a dog biscuit, you are wrong! Mind you I may give it a pat on the head though, with a rock. Can't you dog lovers see that these possible rabid beasts are a dangerous nuisance. Children cannot protect thenselves like some of us can, the dogs need removing from the streets so everyone has the right to carry on with their business without the threat of being bitten.
Point 1 I am not a dog lover but would not abuse one.

    2. Where are the facts about children being bitten???? Been here a number of years and never have I seen or heard of a child or adult come to that being bitten by a dog.

    3. Rabbied dog is that your assumption? ??

4.you are free to do whatever floats your boat but not abuse animals as a divine right because they bark or snarl at you.

I personally dislike pedal bike riders scurge of the road (pavements) should be made to pay a form of road tax and be insured but hey I deviate from the topic.

    Oh yes you bullying dogs

Most cyclists already pay the same taxes as any car driver, as the vast majority drive as well.

You're the arrogant one, full of nonsense, hate and bigotry.

Since when to cyclists ride on pavements in Thailand anyway?

I have seen many pushbikers riding on pavements in Thailand and all but one foreigners in Pattaya and Khon Kaen more so in Bangkok. Yes you pay tax and insurance for your car but that doesn't cover your pushbike does is that's a defective argument. So I'm arrogant because I dislike pushbikers?????? Or because you say so?????. It's a public forum don't expect to write something and get a slapped back by peers every time some have other views

    Go troll some other thread

  5. You could get the old Pinarello Dogma 2 electronic frameset, on sale in Aus at around 65k THB ;) or how about a Colnago Master, around 100k THB I think, half the price of a C60 frameset.

I'm still waiting for my C60 to arrive, although I haven't gone with an italian drive train simply because of cost, had I seen that Canyon I could have made it! But then it would be me wondering what to do with that 3XL frame!

  7. If you don't have anything to hide, if you're not up to no good and you're not carrying drugs or other illegal goods, you have nothing to fear from being stopped and searched. I'm all for it if it takes some worthless criminal scum off the streets.

That's complete bull and you know it, but then you like to troll, so it's not surprising to see such a comment from you.

Rubbish. You're obviously hiding something if you are fearing being stopped and searched in an effort to increase security for the law-abiding citizen. Then again, I have to say the majority of the falangs I've met in Bangkok were either very dodgy from the outset or turned out to be later when I got to know them a little better...

Yes you do talk rubbish, now go troll someone else, I'm not interested in your lack of understanding of why "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" is a fools statement.

  9. I live in Bangkok, I suppose the experience you get is also based on where you live and where you want to go. I've mostly had ok experiences, but especially more recently it has been getting worse. I drive myself mostly now, and take taxis only as a last resort (assuming they are willing to go to my destination)

  10. Go buy a second hand one.

It's kinda looking like that. I've got to say, [i'm quite curious about LA Bikes - the local brand. They seem cheap, and if they've basically mastered TIG welding, buy in alloy components and know how to screw them together they might be okay. There should be quite a lot of them about, and if they start cheap secondhand should be very cheap].

LA are fairly good, and tbey have different brands too, Infinite being the more upper end of their brand range for local bicycles, they are also the local distributors/importer for Look, Raleigh and Commencal amongst others.

I wouldn't look at anything below around 10k THB though for a new bike, if you're going to do a decent amount of riding and not just pottering out to the shops.

There are also a few 2nd hand bike sale pages on Facebook, but most sellers seem to be around BKK, but it's probably worth browsing to see.

Another thing to consider, if you are taller than the average Thai, you might have trouble finding a bike in the right size in the cheap local brands, anything larger than an M or 54/56cm frame can be tough new or used.

You wonder how the import duty works with LA. I'll bet the government gives them a break on the import duty for Shimano components to encourage local frame and wheel building, retailing and assembly: they know they can't make the groupsets yet. I'll bet if you have a British or Italian double butted frame you'd be better buying the cheapest domestic bike, stripping the groupset off it and punting the frame than you would be buying the groupset as an imported item.

Imported bike parts attract 10% duty plus VAT, complete build bikes attract 30% duty for personal import, plus VAT.

Group sets here, especially Shimano are generally cheaper than in Europe. The exception being when there is a sale, currently you can pick up Ultegra Di2 from wiggle with free shipping with 62% discount, even if you have to pay import duty, at that price it is cheaper to import vs buying local.

  12. Here's my latest ride and me riding it ;-)

Nice pics, where did you buy and how much?

Got it from Bike Zone in Bangkok, they had a stand at the Bangsaen Triathlon offering a big discount, came out to 79k for the P2, plus 3.5k for the pedals (Ultegra) and 25k for the wheelset (Novatec R5) that I got from OKK Bike. So for same build, will set you back 107.5k

Nothing wrong with the wheels that came with it, I just wanted some nice carbon ones to look more pro ;-)

  13. I thought the prices were quite similar, and the benefit to buying here is you will get warranty support.

If you're looking for HR and a watch that does basic cycling and running, I'd suggest going for an FR235

  14. You'll have a hard time with the 310/910XT as those models have been out of production for a while.

You can get 920XT/FR630/FR230/Fenix3 and their HR versions from Central Online, Avarin Multisport Shop, Banana2u, KM8Bicycle or Sportbicycle to name a few.

  16. I guess it depends whether you want to use it for safety or as an action cam.

CyclIQ has released a combination light/cam that records HD. For the Cam only mode claimed to be 10hrs! Just out of Beta testing so reliability yet to be confirmed. Similar price to a GoPro.

Also, bit heavier than an action cam, but the same if you include the weight of a light. Compatible with Gopro and Garmin mounts and has a motion sensor for security/incident function.

They make a rear light/cam version as well.

Interesting concept, considering getting one of each.

I use the Fly6 for the security/safety cam. Its a rear camera with light. Waiting for the fly12 to be released for the front. They've promised by the end of the month.

I've considered this one, how is the battery life on it?
